Everyone having fun is always the highest priority. Ensuring that your group are all enjoying the game is key, but you shouldn't forget that the GM is meant to have fun to.

Of course, this simple principle has a lot of more complex implications and extrapolations. As a GM, you need to read and adapt to your group, learning what each player enjoys and how to tie things together. if there's an element that only one player is ambivalent to but the rest of the group love, it's often hard to figure out how to include it, and that's just one example of weighting your priorities.

Which of the secondary elements listed in the OP the group find most fun, or what ratio between them, is an important thing to figure out, and IMO it's one of the hardest jobs of a GM. Even if you know everyone you're playing with, each new configuration of people requires a different set of assumptions and guidelines to work with.

Primarily it's that everyone has fun, but more specifically it's that everyone is having fun playing the game. Not playing Candy Crush or texting friends.

I can't force people to care about the story or characters, but there has to be a baseline level of mutual respect and paying attention. If you're looking up from your tablet saying, "Huh? Is it my turn? What happened?" or, "Who's this guy again? Sorry, I was doing something." then neither of us are going to enjoy the game.

Cantrips scale with character level. Martial characters' damage scales by gaining extra attacks, which are tied to class level. Therefore your cantrips will almost always deal more damage than a normal weapon attack action.

It may be a lesbian thing too. I know I didn't attack her for over 160+ hours of game time. Then I was trying to achievement complete and could not figure out one of the hiddens till I looked it up. Never killed her.

The lost primarchs are female. The tau become more relevant. SoBs get squatted in fluff so they can get squatted for real. Curze is retconned into someone else entirely so Curzefag can go get a life.

You wade into the middle of the ongoing explosion, a wide berth already open to you from the intelligent, retreating patrons who look to you as the last hope to defuse the situation.

Dart waves to you, wiggling her fingers as she flashes you a cheeky smile. She leans her arms on top of the back of a chair she straddles. Irontide glances in your direction, his displeased grimace widening as if a new disgusting smell had just assaulted his nostrils. Gabby looks to you at the same time and you see a bit of relief set in her face, slipping past the stern mask she's putting on in this impromptu confrontation.

“Who the fuck is he?” Irontide gruffly demands of Dart more than asks. His voice rumbles deep and gravelly.

“Her boyfriend,” Dart remarks dryly.

“Good,” Irontide spits. He looks to you and nods towards Gabby. “Mind taking your whore and leaving? She's beginning to annoy me.”
