Hueco Mundo: the realm of the hollows.
A desolate wasteland with an endless dessert above an enormous system of caves and various other quartz formations.
The only colors one can see here are white, black and various mixtures of the two.
Or at least it used to be like that.
Now somewhere at the base of a quartz tree that dwarfs the others six hollows can be seen squatting around something that, in sharp contrast to everything else around here, possesses an actual color.
Indeed, from the mound of sand on top of which the tree can be located emerged a tiny sapling that is nothing more than a stem and a pair of leaves.
The plant is not even green, both the leaves and the stem have a bluish color that contrasts sharply with the rest of the environment.
Everyone is bewildered by the appearance of actual plant matter, obviously none of them encountered anything around here before.
"What the hell is this?"
You ask but you are quite sure no one will be able to answer you.
"It's a plant!
Don'tcha know?"
And that was the moment when you finally punched Dondochakka in the face, not too hard but enough to make him fall on his ass.
He stands up and dusts himself off only to say the following.
"I deserved that."
"Yes, you did."
You didn't punch him because of what he said, you punched him because you knew that he was going to say this and because he knew that you knew and still said it.
"Neliel, you are the senior hollow around here.
Have you ever heard about anything like this?"
You point at the flower, still desperate for answers.
She ponders for a couple of moments, her hand touching the lower end of her masks teeth where you guess her chin is.
"Never.
In fact I've heard only an obscure rumor once regarding plants in Hueco Mundo.
Supposedly the self entitled king of Hueco Mundo, Baraggan Louisenbairn, was the one who turned the entire realm into the wasteland it is today."
"Damn.
I've met his goons once.
I guess it's a good thing I didn't pick a fight with him if he is that powerful."
You think about those two adjuchas that threatened to kill you when you arrived here.
"Do you think that this rumor is true then?"
"Hard to say.
But after seeing this? Perhaps."
Even that doesn't explain much however.
All you've managed to figure out is that maybe there were plants in the distant past, but not how this thing got here.
"Wait a second..."
You look up towards the tree and at the entrance of the little hole you've made before.
"Did you guys move me around when I was unconscious?"
They all look at each other and start shaking their heads at the same time.
"We didn't want to risk opening your wounds Boss.
Why?"
"I wanted to move you once because I kept tripping over your tail but it was too much work!"
Pesche butts in on the conversation.
"This plant sprouted at the spot where I was lying for almost two weeks."
You begin moving around the sand surrounding the plant, slowly clearing it away and what you find underneath shocks you.
Previously there was only hard rock under all the sand but now you find soft ground.
You grab a handful and show your open palm to everyone else.
"Well I'll be...
Actual dirt!"
Even Alex managed to comprehend what you wanted to show them.
"Not just dirt!
This texture, density, porosity, consistency and temperature...
This is high quality soil Boss!"
What he failed to mention is how rich in spirit particles the soil is.
Either it's this highly concentrated in the ground by default or the plant itself was collecting it.
That explains why this plant is blue and not green, due to how little light there is in Hueco Mundo it seems the plant is using the ambient spirit energy to survive.
But while the others are amazed by this rare material you actually have an epiphany.
Without the others noticing you, you back away from the base of the tree and walk away from it.
After reaching the desired location you start digging through the sand under you.
To anyone else it's just a random spot but for you it's the only logical explanation that you can come up with.
Either you are spot on or completely crazy but you have to confirm your suspicion.
After digging a bit deeper than before you find it again, soil.
You feel like you've struck gold as you raise both of your hands above with the dirt in them.
This was the spot where you've dropped a large pile of mucus before.
You can see Neliel staring down at you as you are kneeling in your little hole.
"You look quite happy there."
"I've figured it out."
After you climb out you explain to them what you think happened.
And true enough, there is only rock under the rest of the sand.
"Good job Kaizar!
While you might be a shit fighter you are at least a decent farmer!"
Pesche keeps slapping your back as he makes snarky comments about your apparent agricultural gift.
But this gave you another thing to worry about.
So what do you do now?
>Try to spread vegetation by covering large areas with mucus.
>Focus your attention on the single plant.
>Figure out more about this before you do anything else.
>Kill the plant, you don't want to draw attention to yourself.

If you don't already have some homebrew version with friends, follow the MTGO card pool and banlist (and please spread this to your friends that start playing with you). Currently the only place Pauper is officially supported by Wizards is online, and they have a card pool and banlist, therefore that is the format we should be using offline on paper as well, since decks and cards can transfer to games between each other with no confusion.
>WAHHH THATS TOO HARD WHERE...

The bottom left has a box, select MTGO Pauper, all cards in the card pool and banlist are taken into account.

>Is MTGO worth it?
If you have no local paper competition, but want to play a vast amount of Pauper, it can't be beat, even if it is a clunky GUI, you learn quickly.
Some good decks for newbies include but are not limited to:
>Burn
>Elves
>Goblins
>Stompy
>Slivers
>Affinity
>Mono U control
>UB Teachings
Would Wojek Halberdiers be Pauper playable? How much value are we looking for before we call it playable in this format?
Has anyone thought to build around Relentless Rats?

Woohoo! It's back. I have Warpath Wednesdays and now Frostgrave Fridays. An exciting week.
I may need to actually paint my dwarf warband now.
Oh, yes.

I've been trying to get into it. What's the best way to start? Just buy some boosters, the intros or just order a bunch of singles?
So how does this game work? And how should I start?
You are the head researcher at a government facility. Your sole responsibility is to teach the world's first autonomous AI, nicknamed Pandora, about life, the world and her existence.
Previously you and Theresa began your date proper, starting with the local zoo. There you picked up some souvenirs and discovered that, even in this day and age, people are still a little biased about things as ordinary as cybernetic limbs, your augmented date grabbing more than a little attention.
Afterward you had a lovely hike to a romantic, secluded clearing out in nature and enjoyed a nice picnic that ended in you and Babsy sharing some chaste but intimate moments together.
Afterward you went out dancing, wherein you found a man mistreating a drone of his and decided to step in and fix the poor, damaged thing and give him a piece of your mind.
Welcome back to Pandora Quest!
You awake in the morning feeling fresh and rested for once. No alarm going off to jolt you out of your slumber, no million and one things to worry about in regards to your job, just a beautiful morning, fresh air and four arms wrapped around you in a cyborg hug.
You wish you could say you don't recall last night and that maybe something exciting happened, but the honest truth about it is you both fell asleep watching TV and chatting all night after you got back to the hotel. Still, it's a welcome feeling and you have no regrets.
Your pickup time is in a few hours, so you have some time to do some last-minute enjoying of your vacation.
What would you like to do?

Welcome back to the twelfth chapter of Mecha Space Pirate Quest. As always, you are Admiral Roarke Susan Starwind, nicknamed Dude McCool by your former Captain and presently master of some 72 piloted mecha and two battle-ready ships. You are also fresh from a series of victories, and due for some serious upgrades.

Last time, after single-handedly punching eleven Harpies to death and having your helmsmen brutally dissect their transport ship with the Rhinehawk's main particle beam cannon batteries, you stared down the Bosun of the Green Skulls Pirate Fleet and made him flinch. However, from some of what you said, you suspect he might still be lurking around and prepared to ambush you. His ship is the same size and general speed as the cruiser captained by your subordinate, but you don't know its exact capabilities.
You also made the decision to have the Rhinehawk hold position until the Yamato could join it, at which point the two ships would proceed towards the colony at a relaxed pace while making as many repairs and upgrades as possible.
You are sitting on a whopping 62 points of upgrades. Can it be assumed that 45 of that will go to the Pugilist Mode, Squilla Elbow, and a second Crushing Grip (for the left fist) upgrade? And if so, what else, if anything, do you want to work on improving now? The Knuckle Kaiser is already having its arms repaired, so now is a prime time for it. After all, it will be most of twenty-four standard hours before your microgate generators are ready to be activated again.
Also, is there anyone you want to talk to during the time between battles?
>>47010526
Sam? but that shoulda been obvious from me. Also almost thought ya weren't gonna run. Oh and when we see her play Someone to Love.
>>47010526
Probably should see Sam. No objections to the upgrades.

You wind your Caster furiously, loading it with a bottle of venom as quickly as you can. An arrow shatters itself on your Champions-hardened skin and you swing the Caster up to return fire up at the walls above you.
The walls of Taldenral are falling.
It’s been a full day since you left the banks of the Kuri behind you, Hiss’ forced march taking her forces to the outskirts of Taldenral by morning. The sun still hasn’t reached its zenith and the city is already under assault. Its walls are already being overrun in multiple locations, rattled defenders barely able to rally under the assault of the living dead scaling its walls. Taldenral is simply not a defensible location. It’s too large, too fat. Its walls don’t even go all the way around and you know for a fact that many serpents have already slipped inside and have begun to feast. The entire bloated city is far less defensible than the river Kuri and their men much less stout of heart. They’ve barely even brought up the trebuchets against you, something is sowing chaos within their ranks. You can only hope it was Oster’s doing.
Unfortunately in the chaos of it all you’ve gotten a little separated from Hiss. She’s already inside the city, you can see her path from where the main gates have been smashed open and trampled underfoot.
"How are you guys doing back there?"
You turn around to face your companions, averting your eyes from the deaths of the defenders in the process.
"Everything's fine here," Zigzag says as Aashenpreet hoists her into the air. The Quedeshi is using her as a shield lest she be struck by a stray arrow. Zukhdeep curls around her collar and she refuses to look you in the eye or respond to your question.
"Yes, I have not sustained damage."
And that's Eva, currently cowering behind Hom's human form in a similar manner.
"Don't worry, the arrows should stop soon! There's not much left now. Then we can all get inside peacefully."

“Define, ‘peacefully’”, Aashenpreet remarks as you back away and take your cauldron out from your pack.
“Pardon?”
“How many people have died already today? Hundreds? Thousands? This is the furthest thing from peace.”
You sigh as you bend over your cauldron and begin to restock. Looks like Aashenpreet is willing to talk at last, if only to continue to insult Hiss’ objective.

"Well, I want to keep her." Kaori happily scratches at the puppy's ear. "By the way, now that I've shown you this, you can NOT tell Mom."
That's easy to say, but very difficult for me to do.
I am Itsukuma Masami, and my life is very peaceful. So peaceful, that the only concern on my mind is whether or not Mom will accept Kaori's new puppy or not.
It's a very good feeling to have.
Things weren't always so kind to me. It finally feels like my life is getting back on track after the craziness that was my life up until now.
No more monsters, no more Fortune, no more problems outside the ones a typical girl my age should be facing.
Like, how am I going to sneak this puppy into our house without Mom noticing?
"Masami." Kaori says, almost with instinct. "I know what you're thinking, and no. We can't take the puppy home."
Darn!
"Then what were you thinking of doing?"
"I-I don't know yet! Give me a minute."
Kaori continues stroking the ear of the soft pup. Maeda, who is always the responsible one, stands just several inches behind us.
"Maybe-" Yes, Maeda! Tell us something useful! "You should try to find it a home."
"No." Kaori states, simply and plainly.
I want to argue with her, but who am I to argue about that?

You are Sierra Beckhoff, and you are on Alcatraz minutes away from a duel with Anatu-allatu. Should you lose, you guess you’ll die or something. Fortunately for you, you plan on kicking Anatu’s ass, so yeah. She might have an army with her, but you got your friends to back you up. Also they set up an unspecified number of explosives to your benefit.
You’re going to rescue Mr. Crowther, banish the demoness and her hoards back to hell, and... you guess run inland at that point, because the Yellow King is like an hour off the shoreline by now.

You crawl prone beside Orias up to the edge of the slope, and look down toward the docks. Through the brush and curtains of rain, grey waves crash and roil beyond in the bay. On the boardwalk though, you see them coming. They pour out from the touristy little shops and restaurants set up along the shore, snapping off doors and breaking through windows so they can come through every opening.
Demonic creatures of all sizes and shapes. Loping, slithering, ambling along. Undisguised Stygians. They march on, some draped in chainmail tailored to their monstrous forms, others in coats of fur and skins, others trusting their natural chitin plates to the open elements. Most carry guns of some kind, mostly long flintlock rifles.
“They’re using paths through the meridian,” Orias tells you in a low voice, his expression fixed.
The meridian. The world of reflections. Fimbria. Through the mirrors they come.

Particularly sizable demons among them bark orders to the others. One officer, a half-wolf, half-bull looking thing with mismatched horns, gestures about with two arms, barking guttural commands in Stygish and Heltic. Its third hand rests firmly on the pommel of one of the array of pistols holstered along its chest.
You sense a mixture of anxiety and resolve from the increasing concentration of Stygian footmen. Some peer out from under their broad, drooping hats with fearful eyes at every unfamiliar sight, whether it be the golf carts, the window displays, or the street lights. They clutch their weapons with tight claws, tentacles, and whatever else they have. Others stride forward with confidence, chests puffed out to the rain, the buckles and straps of their uniforms gleaming bright.
Orias’s radio cracks with Rowan’s voice. “We have Stygians coming out of the storehouse on the north side of the island too,” she reports. “A hundred or more, easy. Out.”
“Do you feel that?” asks Orias, nodding to the concentration of demons. “Their confidence. They’re expecting to win.”
Out of all the emotional turmoil of the encroaching army, you do pick out an undercurrent of pride, or sureness. “Yeah, I feel it,” you say.
You’ve fought demons before. Killed before. But this is... something else. You’ve never seen this many demons before. Any one of them you could take, sure. Five at once would be a problem. But ten? Twenty? You’re not sure the odds stack out in your favor. (+4 Stress: 24)
“This is Eagle Raptor,” says Harvey over the radio. “Big Red One would like to remind Sierra Actual that we have the buildings wired with explosives, over.”

I dont want to go with the one on the box, but not something outrageously different. Still the basic red, but changed up a bit. Also, what should I get for my army? Trying to be finshed by the end of this summer. Also, discuss your army and what you have. My brother plays dark eldar.
Bump this if you see it, i want some opinions.

4th company has black helmets due to getting wrecked by the black legion in an old white dwarf battle report.
Otherwise, some details in white or gold should do the trick. Try it on the pauldron trims and the knee protection. Eventually a vertical band on the helmet, those are easy to do and look prety good IMO.
You ca, also try a nice green if you fancy one particular shade, but I'm not too fond of those.
Btw, devastators are supposed to have blue helmets, assault yellow ones.

Thanks, I'll look into getting some of those paints.
What happens after death in your setting?
>INB4 no afterlife
The god of the dead weighs your heart. If it's a heavy heart it will get eaten by demons, if it's light you can go to your ancestors or reside near your favorite god.

No afterlife.
No afterlife, the corpse breaks down and the particles that constituted it will go on their merry way. Exactly what will happen with all of us.
