I dont really know what I can stat him with much. But maybe:

STRENGTH = 10
AGILITY = 2
INTELLIGENCE = 7 (because in the game; Destiny, The Cabal are actually a pretty smart militaristic and industrial race)

I dont else. But I bet alignment is Lawful Evil.

Your name is Amy Nakamura, a 17 year old void Oni, and you are fucking tired. You spent some of the afternoon chasing after a ghostly flame on a cloud (long story), after having disarmed a gunmen that seemed like he was about to shoot up the school. Suffice it to say you weren’t super enthused when you saw the rental car in your driveway. Then all of the hope in your body disappeared immediately when you saw a pair of bright yellow ears peeking over your couch.

“Is that Amy! Oh my gosh we’ve been waiting for like, ever.” You hear HER say. This is officially one of the most stressful days you’ve ever had in your brief life.

We had a player who was on the spectrum in college. Played allot of Paladins and such, wasn't a big deal sense we always played good aligned parties. The brosest and basest guy I ever met, though smelled funny.
>>
A guy who completely hated this one theocracy and spent the entire game conspiring against it. It was (relatively) benevolent and it was hard to break their religious decrees without going out of your way to do so, but the guy still spent every session trying to convince the others it was inherently evil and had to be overthrown and refused to trust any of their officials. No in character explanation btw

Read the 3e core book (link below). For mechanics of the old edition, play this tutorial: http://jyenicolson.net/exalted/. It'll get you familiar with most of the mechanics.

Hey /tg/, what are some good ways to break away from the cliches in your typical totally-not-vikings culture? I'm trying to find ways to make my setting's typical 'northern barbarians'/norse into something a little more stand out. It's so easy to find things on 'vikings' but little for actual norse culture.

Can /tg/ recommend me some good resources or media on the norse?
289 posts and 43 images submitted.
>>
>>46966009
They like cheese a lot and actually spend more time trading then raiding for one. The Norse were massively prolific traders and sailors and nearly all of their runic writing we have that's left behind is basically trading lists of what they bought or sold.
Raiders were a relative minority among them but since they tended to raid churches (who had lots of good stuff but few defenders) and were usually the only people around who can read and write they got to decide how they'd be remembered.
They also weren't a unified culture at all, consisting of many different tribes and groups all throughout the migration period.

By the time they were actually "Vikings" and raiding England and taking large parts of it over they had actually dropped their old deities for being Christian like pretty much the rest of Europe (outside of the Lithuania area) had.

>> Do you have a favorite 'Heavy' strategy game / what is it?

TI3 / old SPI Hex & Chit games like 'War of the Ring' and 'Starship Troopers'. I just never get to play them as they all take to long for my friends to commit that amount of time. (Same issue with campaign based games too. Sigh...)

>> Do you have a favorite 'Light / Abstract' Strategy game / what is it?

Tash Kalar has been surprisingly fun, as has 'The Duke'.

>> What game that you've tried surprised you most with its strategic depth when it seemed like it might be lacking?

The Duke - I thought it might be ho-hum, but tried it with a print and play and really liked it. The short run time makes it appealing for friends not into 'long games'.

>> What light / Party games do you like when 'I can't brain today - I have the dumb!' ?

When I don't want to plan 'umpteen turns ahead' or watch everyone else / the board state like a hawk, I enjoy Funemployed, Dixit, and Code Names.

>> Anything on your 'must buy soon' list?

Some things I want, but I'm saving $$$ so I don't have plans to pull the trigger on anything for the next few months. I did get my latest 'Gazette' for Heroes of Normandie in the mail. Nice surprise.

Can't think of any "decpetively simple" games at the moment.

Chronicle, Abraca...what?, Monster My Neighbor

This is a thread created for the discussion of Quest threads, as well as sharing of advice and guidance for aspiring or current QM's. Posters looking for advice on tabletop games should look elsewhere.

Useful links: http://pastebin.com/x6BqaJ7r
This link contains numerous writing guides, general advice, and various quest tools and communities.

This is a directory containing the tweets of most current QM's. While a twitter is by no means mandatory, it is a useful tool for both you and your players. You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

It had already been several days since the... incident where you met a literal Abyssal clone of yourself, no thanks to Vahlen. Even though the event itself was largely kept quiet from the rest of the base, there were lots of things going on behind the scenes. Apparently, the idea of one of Vahlen's experiments breaking out of its own accord got a LOT of her backers nervous, so a multitude of investigations and reevaluations were going on behind the scenes. In consideration of you and your friends, the Admiral had arranged the transfer of you, your task force, and few other shipgirls to Norfolk, Virginia, the headquarters of the USN's Atlantic forces. It was only temporary, of course, until the whole drama blew over and stabilized.

In addition, the Admiral had forbidden you from telling anybody else about your clone, Woel, outside of your task force and a few of your closest friends like Anna, all of whom basically already knew by the time the order came out.

Actually, it was thanks to Anna that you were even able to stay in contact with Woel. She had set up an encrypted phone that was largely untraceable with which you could chat with Woel for short periods of time. Of course, this was something that you didn't want to abuse too much. But otherwise, you were glad to know Woel made it to the Queen Mary safely, and was steadily recovering. However, being just like you, she was pretty frustrated and restless at having to lay low for possibly the rest of her life. That was something you'd have to worry about later, too.

Anyways, Norfolk. The rest of your task force didn't seem to mind the place, and Portland was absolutely LOVING it. You, on the other hand...
