>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twenty-two year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process
I hope everyone has fun.

Before we get started, I want to thank you fine people for sticking with me through a hundred of these damn threads.
We've had our ups and downs, but I think it's been a pretty fun experience, and I hope you all feel the same.

Is that some sort of watermelon-splitting going on in that picture? Does the Abyss have red watermelons?

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
Sell me on 5e please. Our group wants to try other d20 systems and are experiencing rules fatigue with Pathfinder.
In what ways is 5e good?
They made way too many beans.
>>49238583
Well, the one that would be most relevant to your players is fewer rules. No excess of splat material to wade through, much less adding up modifiers, monsters that can be used against a much wider variety of party levels.

Ever had one of those disgustingly sweet loveydovey couples at your table?
If so, how did you deal with them?

Only time that happened was when it was the DM and his girlfriend. I just ended up leaving those games.

Speak with them about how it disturbs their peers and ask them to tone it down. If it doesn't disturb their peer, shut the fuck up about it.
Alternatively, fuck the guy gay 'till the bitch cries and leave.

If you want ANYTHING to go in the repo, just summon me. Otherwise I will only put writefagging and sheets in the repo.
Also, I added the blank template to the ALL FLAKESHEETS folder. And the old snowsheets are under "Snowstorm sheets" > "1- ALL FLAKE SHEETS."
To summon me simply say
>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
Unless that's too gay.

You know I think they should move from the 'star Trek" format of a single team hopping from world to world to a "Brave and the Bold" set up, where one or two relevant gatewatch members team up with native heroes to deal with local issues and stories, and then have a bigger metaplot in the background.
That way you get to play aroudn with new toys but the Guest Walkers can come back and join the watch if they are liked enough.

That seems to be what they're doing with Kaladesh. So far it's Liliana and Chandra with Baan, Tezzeret, and Saheeli, yeah?
>The vampires in your fantasy world behave like Predators
>>49216865
...that's actually not a bad idea
>>49216923
I think they did a little of that on Zendikar.
Otherwise, it's actually a pretty neat idea. Heat-vision would also make sense, I suppose. Daylight would blind (as well as harming) them and of course they'd be attracted to warm-blooded prey rather than the corpse-cold flesh of their own kind or other undead.

The year is 1919. The November Armistice fell apart a year earlier when the leaders of the victorious powers were collectively murdered in an anarchist bombing and Europe fell again into conflict.
The French began the war with an invasion of the Wiemar Republic. The Soviet Union mobilized 3 million comrades and maintained their borders. A period of rapid expansion by Sweden and Portugal pushed England and Italy to expand their control on the Continent. Luxembourg mobilized soon after and invaded its northern Benelux cousins.
After a brief conflict in Iberia, the United Kingdom, fresh from its conquest of Ireland, signed a treaty with Portugal to form the Anglo-Porto Alliance and invaded France. The French dictator was assassinated in his sleep and the fourth and final Republic was consumed by Portugal, Italy, Luxembourg, and England. Sweden continued its expansion through the mainland war, coming to dominate all of Scandinavia. As soon as the French were obliterated, Italy and Portugal went to war. England dumped massive resources into consuming Luxembourg, leaving its ally to face the Italian onslaught alone. Though the Brits took most of Benelux, they lost control of the Islands to a surprise dual invasion by Sweden and Luxembourg.
A winter truce was called in December 1919 and Europe watches with baited breath as January 1920 dawns...
There are 14 factions:

Thank you for not starting the thread with a drow loli.
Liches be crazy.
Are there any quick-fix rules that adjust weapon choice so that they matter more and causes people to consider what weapon they will use based more on just min-maxing damage and crit?
I mean, there's damage type, but that comes into play mostly when role-playing. The weapon speed rating from 2nd Edition seemed to balance this, but it seems with newer editions, the only 3 things that matter for a weapon are damage, crit, and reach.
>>49244337
Quick fix?
Nope.
And don't kid yourself, weapon speed was just another variable to be gamed and min-maxed. It didn't make weapons any more or less inherently different than size/handedness does.
The best you can do is give different weapon groups actual different capabilities, different maneuvers they are good at (and I don't mean the fucking worthless combat maneuver system of 3.5), but that's not a simple solution. You need a new edition for that.

Then tell us all about those great systems.
"Your Majesty, there is rumor throughout the land that a god from the heavens has descended, and is flying about performing miracles and doing good deeds for the people and neighboring kingdoms."
"But I'm meant to be the hero!"
Better have him killed before he starts a religion.
"Bring me the head of the holy man."
I have a That Guy that has proclaimed that, because of his folk hero background and story, that from leading a militia against a tyrant, he now has a castle, lotso money, horses, and a warship. The campaign takes place in a valley, in which no one can leave safely because of a recent natural disaster, and he has said that he only has his starting gold with him in the valley. (We came to this agreement after a bit of arguing.)
What can I do to take his ill-gotten castle away, in a way to cause the most lulz? He's new, but he has so little regard for the rules, and refuses to use actual dice and paper, doing everything from some "Squire" app on his phone. My current idea is to have a raven reach him as soon as he reaches a civilized portion of the valley, and have it drop him a note detailing how almost as soon as he left, a rival sabotaged his warship, beseiged and captured his poorly-staffed castle, slaughtered his horses, and now hold his family for ransom. Since the caravan that took the players to this valley took a while to reach it, I also plan on having the message dated for 2-4 weeks before the in-game date.
I feel like letting the lot of you control the mind of the servant that wrote this letter to actually write the letter yourselves will produce a far better result than anything I could think of. The letter should be addressed to "Arcadius."
First of all, what's the servant's name?
>>49246450
Why not just make it part of the quest?
The tyrant he overthrew was just a local bandit boss, the warship is just the smallest ship that might qualify as a warship and would probably be of more value as merchant guard or merchant ship itself.
Throw politics at him and the rest of the players. The real boss Lord of the place will let you keep the castle as long as you pay the rent/tithe.
If you answer nothing else, what kind of story o you want to tell?
>>49246450
You want to enact some kind of petty revenge, because a PC settled down and rose above the status of murderhobo? Fucking bravo.
>>49246450
If you didn't want him to have all that shit you should have told him from the beginning. Instead you acquiesced and are trying some underhanded bullshit to take it away on the back end, in other words you're being a little bitch about this.
Get a better handle on your group.
How badly handed were the Scions regarding their lore?
Their entire codex just seems like a how to paint book. Like each one is fight *INSERT XENOS/DAEMONS HERE* really good.
Though I like how the ones who fight eldar dress up as fucking necrons. I kind of wish that each scion regiment copied a real life special forces like how the base regiments copied armies.
Grimderp lore aside the scions have literally no notable main characters and no special shit for being the best soldier in the IG. I want shit like seedy Black ops shit and use experimental technology all the time maybe even more friendships with space marine chapters that arent the ultra marines.
>>49231268
I guess the problem derives from the fact they come from the same place as commissars, which are basically standardisation physically incarnate.
Special characters would be difficult as well for the same reason. They barely have more personality and individual thought than servitors, but they could have had a few named commissar characters in there I suppose.
>>49232002
As much as I love commissars we need more named regular guardsman/special force guardsmen.
If Lukas Bastoone wasnt already a Cadian he would have been a perfect character for the scions
>>49232002
>>49232330
No wait I just got a retarded idea.
Scions are fucking Star Wars Clone troopers
>Majority of them conditioned and trained for a majority of their lives
>Most just have numbers as names
>Superiors begin to notice that subjects with personality's are great for leader positions
>Essentially Tempestor Scions become ARC Troopers and have a little more free will
Future Naruto Quest
This quest is set within the universe of Naruto, long after the end of the series, but ignoring the events of the Boruto Manga. Of course, because this is Naruto we're talking about, the geopolitics and technology haven't advanced as quickly as they would in the real world. As such, the technology is similar to that of Boruto the Movie, and the villages you know and love are largely the same.
However, the characters will be less familiar, because as much time has passed between the Last and now as passed between the Founding of the Hidden Villages and the Main Series.
You are playing as Kuro Nijiiroh, a Hidden Leaf Genin of eleven years. You’re a member of Hōōmaru Tachibana’s Team Seven, along with your teammates, Hakurin Hyuga, and Jimmaru ████ Uchiha. Your family consists of your older sister, an ANBU Black Ops, Shirou; your mother, the restaurateur Ki; and your father, a Hand Seals Specializing Tokubetsu Jounin.
