Imo, Shootas are always the better option, because ultimately, Sluggas only get like 1 extra attack when compared to Shootas, at least if I recall correctly.

Oh so many legit reasons. 3.PF is one of the worst designed games in existence and its bad habits have damaged a large part of the industry. It's just foul fortune that it managed to catch such a large audience who grew to think its particular weird way of doing things was the 'right' way for RPGs to be.
If you want a short list of the real complaints with it- Severely imbalanced system, both between classes and internal choices between options (And yes, balance does matter in cooperative games), defective GM side systems that can make designing and managing encounters a pain, outright incorrect advice in GMing materials which can do more harm than good if a novice DM attempts to follow it... There are more if I can be bothered to type them up, but it's 8AM and I haven't slept, so there are probably people who could do it better.

Back when Warhammer still existed (RIP), I played Chaos Warriors religiously, because they had by far the best fluff which was - alongside their models - just menacing.
I also played 40k back in the days, but was never able to pick up Chaos Space Marines for a longer period of time. CSMs in text and games are always portrayed as goofy and embarrassing for some reason. They just aren't scary in the slightest.
Truth is that the simple silhouette of a single Chaos Warrior in the fog is a hundred times more iconic and fear inducing than 100 emo kids in power armor yelling death threats.

Because alignment aside, Chaos Warriors are the loyalist Space Marines of WHFB.
They are the scariest, most feared, hardest, toughest, strongest, etc. They were THE generic badasses of the setting. Sure fantasy orcs are crazy deadly, ogres and dragons exist, but the iconic "badass warrior in armor" is the Chaos Warrior and the Chaos Knights. Not even Bretonnians or Sigmar Priests were as awesome.
They are like the evil Grey Knights of WHFB.

Part of this is because Chaos Warriors are wierd, foreign, almost alien, with their own culture that is utterly inimical to the south men. Above all they're all men - they may be mutated, but they're mortal men and somehow that makes them even more terrifying for how dangerous and superhuman they are.
Chaos Space Marines are salty ass imperials who went traitor, and tend to go heavy on the lmao chaos spectrum. They're known factors, Space Marines But Bad.
Also chaos warriors have balling ass plate armor while csm have shitty old equipment and spikes on everything

Okay, so you're high up in some U.S. acronym agency, and your boss's boss' boss calls you into his office. Inside, you're given a briefing by some scientists and some intel people. The gist of it is that they have definitive proof that something like time travel or trans-dimensional travel exists. Moreover, there are huge associated risks. They need a group to:
A. cover up people (and things) disappearing/appearing to and from god-knows-where
B. set up a system to detect and assess non-native beings (which may already be here)
C. support fundamental research into this phenomena
D. analyze materials and technologies retrieved
Basically: inter-dimensional alien wizards are a reality, and you have just enough experience and anonymity that you could act as head of the division that has to deal with it.
What do you name this new program and any sub-compartments?
Where will your headquarters be located?
What special security considerations will you implement as SOP?
What's the parent agency - NSA, DoD, CIA?
Where will you recruit agents from?

If it's one group of wizards, that's the time to send in a special ops team to close the hole (hopefully peacefully) and eliminate the problem. If people are getting sucked into Narnia left and right, and you already have ET running around on Earth, attempting a coverup is worse than suicide.
I'd craft a carefully-worded press release to be read by the president themselfhopefully in this reality it's somebody level-headed and not our current PE. We'd then start a bonds drive to attempt to gain additional funding for researching this topic, while teaming up with other world powers in mutual cooperation for Earth defense.
Trying to be top-secret works in movies, but it's quite bad in real life. You're limiting your talent pool, spending precious resources on preventing exposure instead of defense or containment, and you're likely to be criminally liable when something goes wrong and all is revealed. It's best to tackle a problem like this head-on.

My fellow Inquisitiors and colleagues of the Deathwatch and the Adeptus Mechanius. We are fighting a loosing war. I know I know but lets face the arch enemy is becoming stronger by the day. Demonworlds popping up in normal space like the barriers that protect of the Materium from the Warp are getting thinner and thinner.
Those times call up for unsual thoughts. We should consider the possibility that to defeat the chaos gods we could via indirect methods strengthen other gods. In my theory the greenskin gods Gork and Mork are those that have the biggest chance.
If we could get the biggest WAAAAAAAGH of all the ages rolling. Gork and Mork could be strong enough to defeat for example by Khorne itself. Of course we would have even when this plan came to fruitions very mighty Warpentities on our self. BUT and this is an important one, since those gods are bound by race we wouldn’t have rampart chaos corruption in our imperial subjects.
The galaxy spanning WAAAAAAAGH could be guided into the Eye of Terror taking care of the most dangerous followers of Chaos.
To sum it up, we could seriously weaken the great enemies in the warp and in the real realm by using the greenskins.

Someone with high charisma might be beautiful, using their charm and allure to sway others, but they might also just have a very forceful personality and an immense personal presence. At a glance people can not really tell how strong you are, particularly people without detect magic, until you have obvious physical showings. Stuff like sorcerer bloodlines, strange races, etc would do this.
Where I put it is you're still a group of armed individuals. If this group of armed and strange folk are even up to 1/4 of the number of the local law enforcement (most places do not have a guard or standing military, likely they have a militia or some house guard sent by a nobleman) people start getting really fucking nervous.
People would treat you kindly, but out of fear. Some wouldn't care. Some would shout at you to leave.
A bunch of armed to the teeth mercenaries aren't a good thing.
