How weeaboo are your games?
>>50625863
Just enough to satisfy the weebish impulses of a few of my players without it disrupting the flow of play or cramping the style of my other players.
How is this possible, you ask? Well you see I playin person, withlongtime friends, forfun.
>>50625863
I don't care
In my last campaign I added a bunch of crocodile ronin men that attacked the party with oversized katanas, yari and a handcranked machine gun.
Shit was dope

What would you do if you had the ability to summon an army of gnomes that will even fight snakes?
>>50625828
Use them to fight an army of snakes, probably.

FUCK THIS FRANCHISE
40k is a goofy, over the top black comedy. It's always been this, even if GW forgot for a few years and kept screwing things up by trying to take it all way too fucking seriously. Thankfully the silly seems to be back into full swing by now.

Does anyone has this game? Where can I get it?
>>50625411
Just play monopoly.
But by the power of your holy dubs i will tell you that it might be available on eBay or Amazon. Doesn't hurt to search, anon.
>>50625667
Or just play a normal game of D&D with a winners only rule and you'll be playing a Donald tabletop game in your heart.

I've been invited into a M&M holy grail war, and I need to make a master and servant. PL7 for the master, PL10 for the servant. I've also been told I'm getting lancer, and to choose the hero.
Any suggestion on just who this lancer should be?
>>50625358
>Not using Vlad the fucking Impaler
He's even got a page of shit already made for you. Lancer of Black is the fucking best. He's Arturia levels of power, has a great motivation in wanting to untarnish his legend with all the vampire bullshit, and can turn into fucking Dracula as a noble phantasm.
>>50625425
Fucking this, Vlad is one of the best lancers you could hope for. you could always make up your own guy i guess but if you're going to go with a canon definitely pick Vlad.

Is there any horror RPG scenarios with the same kind of horror than in Asian films like The Grudge, The Ring, Dark Water or The Eye ?
PCs are stuck in a car with Asian woman driving
>>50625344
How would you define Asian horror (in terms of how it's different from western horror), so that we know what sort of things to look for
>>50626439
Not OP, but Asian horror tends to have a lot of ghosts, especially ghosts tied to locations and objects.
If a party comes to a wrong conclusion about an enemy or creates a strategy that you KNOW will not work (whether it be because you know the monster's stat block or if it's cause the party is simply misinformed) should you let them suffer the consequences of this decision or do you adjust the encounter/statblock to fit their idea?
In other words is it better to support players making decisions AT ALL or just making the CORRECT ones?
>>50625129
Personally I reward my players for thinking up strategies instead of just hitting something until it stops moving. In a situation like that I wouldn't just give it to them, though. I'd try to figure out an excuse for their strategy to fail while showing them the real weakness they need to exploit.
If there's a golem whose only weakness is on its back and they come up with an elaborate plan to break off its head then if it succeeds I'd say the golem stumbles or something like that to reveal the huge glowing weakpoint.
Don't give them a victory for jumping to the wrong conclusion, but reward them for their willingness to actually plan.
>>50625129
It depends. Generally speaking, I let the chips fall where they will, but if it's going to lead to something boring then I might adjust things. I adjust things to avoid a TPK when it's my fault as the DM (ie, something was a LOT stronger than I expected or I forgot to tell the party something they should know) but if it's the fault of the party, they can enjoy their deaths (or be smart and retreat).
>>50625129
If you balanced the encounters semi-decently and made it clear to the party they always have the option to set traps, use misdirection, scout ahead of time, or gods forbit- run away- you aren't in the wrong to let them suffer consequences.
Rolled 20 (1d20)
So, /tg/, with the removal of quest threads, why do we still have the dice rolling function?
For the odd ____ creation thread?
For helping with public character creation?
For flavor?
I'm not saying we /should/ get rid of it, I'm just wondering what to even do with it now.
Rolled 3, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 2, 6, 3, 1, 3, 3, 4, 4, 6, 1, 2, 2 = 53 (18d6)

Lets say I want to do a game where its a large, semi-well known world with continents that are loosely analogous to those of Earth. Each continent has all the stuff you'd expect out of their real-world counterpart's mythology and folklore.
My question is if Elves and Dwarves are in !notEurope, what human-looking non-humans would you find in other places, like !notIndia, !notEastAsia, etc? My only ideas so far is Genasi for !notMiddleEast.
!NotIndia - devas, asuras
!NotEastAsia - ogres/onis,kitsune
Honestly, Wikipedia is your friend here.
Dwarfs would be basically everywhere.
Down in their shafts the climate differences would be minimal at best so they wouldn't really care if it's hot up in the air or cold.
Elves depend on your personal flavor of elves, but since central Europe is one those areas that are great for humans to live in, the population density will likely exceed what is comfortable for elves.
Scandinavia is a different matter.
Garuda for indonesia.
Teracotta people for China.
Kappa and Tengu in Japan.
Black people in Africa.
Spiders in Australia.
Been a while since we had one of these. Anyone got any tips for combos involving tumbleweed?
>>50624544
Tumbleweed benefits from its mobility, but honestly it isn't good for much else. I'm all about that based joshua tree this season.
>>50624575
Honestly I prefer flowering and fruiting trees myself, gotta get that pollinator synergy.

Explain yourselves.
So, there's a DM at my LFGS. He's had his own world formed through previous player efforts, and the world is one of total oppression by an "Order of Light" who kill anyone that looks, sounds, or acts evil. This means that certain races are instant targets for death, like drow and duergar. In fact, anyone not human is considered inferior. This is all on the Sword Coast. There's a group of rebels, but they essentially do the government's work without realizing it. I want to stage a rebellion and overturn the government. More info will be on the way, but that is what I have so far. The thing is, I need advice and help on doing this. Couple things about the DM, he always follows RAW, and he knows the rules front and back.
And for older posters, if you're reminded of Headmaster, yes, that's probably the direction this will go.
Are you asking how to run an oppressive order of light or how to rebel against one?
How to rebel against one!
>>50624417
Found a counter-order. Sooner or later he's got to realize that 'justice' doesn't hold a candle to JUSTICE!

How does Adeptus Evangelion fare for a oneshot?
I'm looking at the pdf's and it seems like i might be better off with a different system for just one session.
>>50624264
>might be better off with a different system
The general consensus seems to be that CthulhuTech is a cool setting that suffers from a bad system -- some say terrible. I've seen it compared to Rifts in that regard.

That doesn't answer my question.
