Crazy Daemon World Arbitrator Edition!
For all your questions on Dark Heresy (1st and 2nd Editions), Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, and Only War.
Not the wargame, not Chapter Master, not Space Hulk.
Not sure between starting Dark Heresy 1e and 2e? Pick 2e.
>Why did FFG lose the 40k RPG License?
Because they were bought by Asmodee and that caused some sort of licensing conflict.
>Will GW make their own 40k RPGs now?
Probably not. But if they do it will likely be worse than you could possibly imagine.
Book Repositories (If you're planning to download any Rogue Trader materials, read the .txt file in the RT directory)

There is a new Homebrew Megafolder option in above MEGA directory containing several things.
>40K RPG tools, a site that contains stats or references for almost all weapons, armor and NPCs/adversaries. Not updated past DH2 core.
http://www.40krpgtools.com/
>40k RPG Combined Armory (v6.48.161023), containing every piece of gear in all five lines. Now includes all DH2e books.
In the Homebrew megafolder
>Mars Needs Women! (v1.2.10) (Mechanicus Skitarii and Taghmata for Only War)
In the Homebrew megafolder
>Fear and Loathing in the Eastern Fringe (V1.6.4) (Playable Xenos for Rogue Trader)
In the Homebrew megafolder
>The Fringe is Yours! (v1.8.4) (More Xenos, Knights, and Horus Heresy gear for Rogue Trader)
In the Homebrew megafolder
Any general rules of thumb players should know before getting into a game? Things that increase survival rates, common sense, etc. Looking to update the "Rules for Not Dying like an Idiot" file.
By the way, with the license BS happening, these really neat Digital Character Sheets will be getting removed from the Play Store in March. Get it while you can, it can print to .pdf.

So I don't get something about the Soul Reaver premade. It says it's for adventurers of any rank, but near the end of chapter 1, one of the crucial objectives requires a -10 demolitions test, which is an advanced skill (so it can't be done untrained) that as far as I can tell is unobtainable until you have a rank 4 Arch Militant.
What's up with that?
>>50597652
If I recall correctly the reason for that is soul reaver is a bad adventure.
>>50598459
Awww, I like it conceptually. Making a deal to pull of a heist with some Dark Eldar sounds like FUN.
Other hand, it's pretty hard to get anyone but a hardcore radical to be involved with them. Do you think it could work better or be converted to Black Crusade?
>>50595513
What do you guys usually play? That's probably going to be the deciding factor, as you'll want something fresh.
Personally, I'd say do Shadowrun. It's silly and zany, easy to write scenarios for, encourages whatever bizarre character concepts you can come up with, and will be a bit of fresh air compared to 40k's grimdark. Stagnation, decay and xenophobia are all fun, but sometimes it's good to be a tough detective trying to make a difference in a crazy cyberpunk distopia.

GW didn't have to cut you off
Make out like you weren't needed
And that claw-mb was nothing
And I don't even need you now
But I have to carry more tacklers
And that feels so rough
They didn't have to stoop so low
Force you to use team re-rolls
And then not buffing foulers
I guess I don't need that though
Now you're just some skill I used to know
>>50582052
got ya
for wood elves I'm thinking of using 40k Wyches and just painting them earthy tones, and using the Spirit of the Forest reaper bones as the treeman
Your character learns that there's an elf druid who has stalked you since he or she was in diapers. What's your character reaction?

what would the Sisters of Battle be like as daemons of the Emperor?
there was a thread where the topic came up recently, and a number found the concept fascinating, so how would you take the idea?
>>50572576
Can they be sexy demons?
I kinda want that. I really hate the claw thing we have currently.
reposting some greetext from the last tjread
>here's how I would do it
>lemon yellow color schemes
>main animal influences are gastropods and mollusks, sometimes fish
>sisters are kind of "fused" with their armor; the neck guard has become their lower face so they only have the nose and up
>very large eyes, kind of dead looking and glassy
>exaggerated "female" forms, in a geometric sense. they're more top heavy hourglasses instead of being feminine by having boobs or anything
>they wield freaky daemon bolters and sometimes chainswords
>those that wield flamers shot out deep golden flames that hum like a choir rather then crackle
>Heralds are decked out with jellylike pairs of wings, sometimes with more then one pair, like the fins of a sea angel
>Jameston was always a hardy man; he was cadian born, after all
>he never had any fear of chaos, even when he was a child he was punting nurglings and harassing daemonettes
>so when he and his regiment were assigned to work with the Sisters of Battle, he was one of the few who wasn't immediately put off by them
>they were tall as shit, and freaky too
>they reminded Johnston of the seafood his grandmother would serve back on his home planet
>rubbery, yellow, and undeniably tainted
>under official Imperium terms, the Sisters were "angels", but anyone with half a brain knew otherwise
>Kev, the local psyker, won't even let himself be in the same areas as them
>despite all the fear surrounding the, Johnston was undeniably entranced
>the way their hips swing, the curves of their chest plates
>and most importantly
>how that squishy lemon flesh feels on his dick
>approaching one, he decided to start off with some small talk
>she didn't really understand anything he tried to talk about
>the only things she was willing to discuss were things like how great the Emperor is, or about the "bright place" where she and her sisters "bloomed forth"
>Johnston has heard the word Emperor enough that he begins to gag at the sound, so he quickly tries to steer the conversation to it's true purpose
>"so, uh..."
>"you down to fuck?"
>the daemon cocked her head
>"ą f͞u̷c̛k?"
>the cadian was taken aback
>this must be those prudes on terra
>they're probably just jealous that they can't get any, so they don't tell the fishsticks about it
>"it's when a guy takes it's cock and sticks it in a pretty girl. you know, like you."
>"dơ̶ yo҉̧̢u͘͠ m̸̴̕eaǹ s͝͠e҉̶x҉͟?̵"
>the daemon's gray eyes locked onto him, gazing into him intensely enough that he could feel it
>"yeah?"
>with an inhuman quickness, she raised her flamer to Johnston's face
>"b͘͜͟ u҉͡ r̢̀ n s͡͡ l̶ a̶͜͠ a̸ ń e̡͜͡ s͏̀ h̕͢ i̵ s̸͢ c̡͘ u m̀͘"

Traveller is a classic science fiction system first released in 1976. In its original release it was a general purpose SF system, but a setting was soon developed called The Third Imperium, based on classic space opera tropes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with a slight noir tint.
Though it can support a wide range of game types, the classic campaign involves a group of retired veterans tooling around in a spaceship, taking whatever jobs they can find in a desperate bid to stay in business, a la Firefly or Cowboy Bebop.

https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Dungeons:_the_Dragoning_40,000_7th_Edition
The Second Ice Age has caught the world off guard. In a span of five years, the global temperature has decreased dramatically, causing almost arctic conditions in the regions north and south of the equator. Only the regions within 1,000 miles of the equator have remained at a livable temperature, roughly equivalent to an Alaskan winter.
It's two centuries from today, technology is borderline futuristic. Synthetic materials, semi-autonomous machines, and cybernetic enhancements were all somewhat common before the freeze. Genetic engineering hasn't made much progress in animals, due to ethical constraints.
The government has almost completely collapsed, and billions have frozen to death and starved worldwide. Millions of refugees from the far north and far south have fled to the equator, and dozens of bloody, vicious wars between dying nations over territory, food, and resources were held in the years before stockpiled food ran out.
That was roughly thirty years ago.
Tribes, petty nation states, and warlords are now the primary governing authority. Most land is lawless, frigid, and hellish. Humanity has degenerated significantly both morally and technologically, relics of the past and those who can effectively use and manufacture them are highly valued.
Roving bands of marauders and starving animals are a significant threat. Mysticism is making a comeback, and science as a whole is declining. The growing season is short and the soil yields just a little bit less each year, and many fear that the end is nigh.
> Frozen bump.
> C'mon, /tg/, don't let this thread die before it starts.

Neat
That's all I got man
The 40k format where you play with a few small squads of dudesmen and individual models. GW official and HoR welcome, though it's polite clarify which one you're talking about.

>>50562601
So how retarded would I be if I ran 4 ironstriders in gw kill team?
>>50562626
Probably very. Still, AV11 means you're immune to most basic guns, barring Tau Pulse weapons.
Two Dragoons and Ballistarii make 200 points even without upgrades., or four Dragoons to have 20 points leftover, enough two of them to pack a Serpenta. Still, it's probably a better idea to pack some Skitarii to keep the Melta and heavier hitting weapons away or at least tied up.
Also I'm not sure if there's a rule that says you can't make a team composed entirely of vehicles.
Currently thinking of a couple of teams for HoR, built for campaign build so they start at 200 rather than 250:
Harlequins: 195 Points
Leader [60]
>Troupe Master (35)
>>Piercing Rose (10)
>>Domino Field (15)
Core [75]
>Harlequin x5 (15*5)
Special [60]
>Shadowseer (60)
Adeptus Mechanicus: 200 Points
Leader [50]
>Infiltrator Princeps (45)
>>Refractor Field (5)
Core [90]
>Vanguard x5 (9*5)
>Vanguard x5 (9*5)
Special [60]
>Secutarii Peltast x5 (12*5)
Remember Bionicle? That Lego line about robots with elemental powers living on a tropical island?
Lego rebooted it in 2015, but it was barely promoted or advertised at all.
It tanked so hard that they ended the line early (the story was planned to run 3 years) and the last wave of sets weren't even released in some countries.
Bionicle won’t be coming back for a long time, possibly ever, because of how bad the G2 sets sold. But the concept still has potential.
So a few fans thought that if Lego won’t give Bionicle the respect it deserves, maybe it’s time to make our own elemental robot story with blackjack and hookers, and so Afterman was born.
It was originally gonna be a comic, but now who knows.
We're trying to find the middle ground between capturing the feel of Bionicle, but also not being a total ripoff.

(I originally went to /co/ for feedback but they just called it autistic.)

I mean I like it but you're forgetting that there are 6 elements for Bionicle. But the background and character info is pretty good.

Stone was cut out for being redundant with earth. There are other elements (lightning, iron, plantlife) but they don't show up until later.
Also got a blog at project-afterman.tumblr.com with most of the art.
We don't have a set art style yet but they kinda look like this.
