I kinda want to get this mentality out that having a single Ynnari army is "OP". It's not. They're the Eldar's TEQ. It's fair if they can have one if you bring Gladius or a Skyhammer. If they bring multiple and in the Reborn Warhost, then yes that is pretty cheesy.
Also Wyches are shit. They're just expendable meatshields. Having a whole army oriented around them would be incredibly boring. If Wych cults had the same love that Genestealers then that would be fine.
A "fun" army to play against is something that tries to bring all the neat units into the battle in a combined arms fashion. Not just spamming any one single unit. A good Eldar player would know that some well supported guardian unit is a cheaper and arguably better source of anti infantry fire power than the other units.
I'm so tired of hearing non Eldar players complain about "muh Soulburst or muh Wraithknights" They're there in the codex, they have a purpose, just like the FWs.source then any of the wraith constructs. Just because you get butthurt at the cheesemongers doesn't mean that the other Eldar players have to stop using a particular unit. Quit bitching.

I think I'm in a 'That Group' when it comes to my local shop. I'm a Tau player, and I always try to warn them of what exactly I'm bringing so they can bring an answer to it. AV14, fliers, hordes, superheavies, etc. I don't want the game to be decided because someone didn't bring an answer to a unit, them or me.
However, I almost always bring one Riptide, cause it's my favorite model and it is a powerful unit. Whenever I mention this though, my opponents consider the cheese-gates opened. They all know Riptides are a good unit, they just don't know why other than the 1d4chan memes and Riptide wings, which I have never and will never bring.
This often leads to facing crap like the Kairos 2++ invulnerable rerollable deathstars, or genestealer cult ambush lists. How can I show them a riptide is not the coming of the apocalypse?

So my last (and first) character just died and l have 50 points to spend on one or more special, supernatural abilities for my new character.
He's a paranormal detective, an occult investigator with good DX and even better lQ.
What's an useful ability for this kind of character? Maybe something for him to get out of trouble, or something really weird and versatile, like infrared vision, or telepathy, or the ability to turn into an owl.
l do not have much experience with the system, so please give me some advice if you can.
