For me, it's that I'm really tough on my boundaries. Girls expect to be treated like princesses and I don't really give my way for them. I've made a lot of girls cry because they thought they could get away with doing shit and I just bitchslapped them.
Example: This was at work. First job. I worked in a factory. I was asked to bring a product sample for delivery. Took the sample, had it checked by my super, a woman at the front desk, and delivery. Three checks. Then, for some reason, the sample wasn't delivered and it ended back at inventory.
We didn't know what happened at first. The customer called for the sample and complained to the woman at the front desk. Our dept got questioned where the sample was. We said we delivered it (checked 3x). Front desk woman told the customer that.
Then, on a routine inventory check, I found the sample. I reported to my super who asked me to notify front desk. Front desk was floored it wasn't delivered. Next day, I came to work and found the front desk lady crying. When I clocked in, practically the whole office was looking at me.
I was questioned as to what happened with the delivery. Turns out front desk blamed the whole thing on me. I told them I delivered the sample and had it checked 3x. She was bawling her eyes out because the customer was chewing her out hard. Me and front desk never talked again. I left the company for a better position a few months after.

I think there's a difference between "miserable and unhappy" and "moping about your problems while doing nothing to fix it". The latter can be infuriating to deal with in other people, especially if you give a crap about them. Most people, normal people have never experienced depression, all they know is what they've heard, that it's a kinda sadness and malaise and that getting out of it takes effort. The thing they don't get, and CANT get because they've never had anything approaching depression or similar, is how hard it is to pull out of it. They hear "It takes effort" and think you can just conjure up the will to get better. Others might understand how it works, but because again, they lack the experience to have real empathy for what you're going through, see you as "not trying", they become frustrated with your perceived inaction

I never really had motivation for uni to begin with. I just did it because its supposed to be the next thing you do in your life. My parents have the dough to push me through and told me they wouldn't let me not go to college unless I went out on my own and did my own thing
