"JACK! WAKE UP!"

No.

"WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! THERE'S A PROBLEM!"

There's always a problem, and they always expect you to fix it.
You've had enough. Sleep, please take you back.

..

"JAAAACK!" You hear the distinct voice of Yuuki a mere foot from your head, "Kayda has run away! We need help!"

Maybe if you pretend to be someone else; she will go away eventually.

You are totally NOT Jack Albator, but you've heard rumors of him. Some say that he was the most handsome and rugged adventurer to ever claim the high seas. Others claim that his tastes in both liquor and women rivaled that of the greatest kings of Europe.

And he would most certainly not be stuck in the early morning hours of the day-
"Jack! It's the afternoon! Wake up!"
-in the early hours of the noon helping in another disaster that he did not have any hand in causing!

Jack Albator is not that kind of man. Jack Albator is the kind of man that would do the least amount of work possible but then claim that the result was his intention all along. Why? Because that's what smart men, do. Jack Albator is a smart man.

"Jack.." The voice takes a sudden and cruel turn. "Wake up or I'm encasing your feet in a block of ice."

Well, Jack Albator would totally hate that. -It's too bad he's not around to comment on that! Heh.

"Jack.." The same voice becomes even more serious. "I can see you smiling slightly, don't think I won't do that, because I will!"

Well, she will have a hard time getting to him! Legend says that Jack Albator was abducted by the notorious ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman. Of which he serves upon the damned galleon for all eternity!

That is, at least one of the legends of the fate of Jack Albator. Some say he was recruited into being the bodyguard of the Sultan of-
YEEEEAAAARGGHHH

You snap up with a cough, and then start violently scratching at your feet!
Damn it! It's like they're frozen over! This is miserable! How could this happen?!

"There you are." Yuuki coughs, "Now that you're awake, you're coming with me to Bruschetta."
"Ferget it!" You shout, "Aye'm done with adventures! Unless adventure comes to Biscotti, then Aye'm gonna stay right here in this bed!"

"Jack." Yuuki states again, with utmost seriousness. "Someone stole your airship."

>"Get my gun."
>"I'll meet you outside in ten minutes."
>"I can steal another!"
>"I need a drink."

Mwa ha ha ha, You've done quite well for yourself these past nine days. You've more or less started your own fief with Urdl and the homesteads surrounding it, you've trained your men into a halfway decent fighting force, and you've recently captured a caravan filled with valuable treasures... Some, more desirable than others.

You are Sir Durwin, Bandit Chief of the south-lands of Entor. Tall, fair-skinned, black haired, gaunt faced, covered with scars, you strike quite an imposing figure. You're the most intimidating person you've ever met, though sometimes you have a hard time emphasizing with others. You are well versed in the arts of military tactics, siegecraft, and animal training. You've always like animals much better than people, for their honesty and the fact that they're upfront about what they think of you. Your goal is nothing less than total conquest, and the annihilation of those who oppose you.

You're mounted on horseback, as are several of your men, and you take a minute or two to come up with a course of action.

You nod before speaking, "WELL DONE MEN, YE'VE MADE ME PROUD TODAY!" The assorted bandits and deserters yell in agreement. "LET'S GET BACK TO CAMP, AND WE CAN BREAK OPEN A CASK OR TWO OF THAT MEAD AND HAVE OURSELVES A LITTLE FESTIVAL!" The men cheer further, and begin to tie up the prisoners and reload the wagons.

Almost an hour later, you've gathered the men and wagons outside of your campsite. The men seem very happy with you, and their excitement to rummage through the loot is almost contagious. You give a nod in vague agreement and raise your voice, "ALRIGHT YE SORRY BASTARDS! 'FORE YE GET TO LOOTIN', WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE LOOT GOES TO WHO CAN USE IT BEST!" Your troops look somewhat confused before you elaborate, "WE'RE A BAND, WHICH MEANS WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER. UNLESS EVERYONE'S WORKING AS WELL AS POSSIBLE, THE BAND DOESN'T WORK AS WELL AS IT SHOULD. WHICH MEANS IT'S LESS EFFECTIVE! WHICH MEANS IT DOESN'T GET AS MUCH LOOT AS IT WOULD OTHERWISE! WHICH MEANS YOU BASTARDS DON'T GET PAID AS MUCH! UNDERSTOOD?" The men seem to grasp the concept, though one man raises his hand, "Uh, mister boss-man, er, Sir, how exactly are we gonna divvy up the loot, then?"

"SIMPLE! THE BEST MEN GET THE BEST GEAR! IT MAY SEEM UNFAIR, BUT IT MAKES THE BAND BETTER AT KILLING OVERALL! WE DON'T WANT MEN WHO CAN'T USE A CROSSBOW WIELDING ONE, SAME THING WITH SWORDS, SPEARS, OR ANY OTHER WEAPON UNDER THE SUN! UNDERSTOOD?" Your men nod, slowly at first, and then more enthusiastically as the wisdom of your statement hits them. Over the next half hour, you sift through the loot yourself, and give the most capable of your men the weapons and armor. Afterward, you look at your men, sizing them up.

((Previously, I've been micromanaging each soldier's equipment, which has started to become overwhelming at only thirty men, once there's fifty or a hundred I won't be able to use the system I've been using. So I've devised a different way to keep track of soldier's statistics. Instead of saying 30 sword slightly trained bandit scum, I'd say:

Bandits, (30)
Exp: 1
Pay: 2 p/w
Inv: Sword, Clothes

The name, is the type of unit, the number between the () is the quantity of the unit, exp is the experience of the unit, (0 is untrained, 15 is masterful), pay is the amount of crowns they demand per week, and Equ is the equipment of each individual, and Arm is the armor of each individual. This system will make it easier to keep track of things, and organize the soldiers into squads and armies later on. I'm sorry if you liked the other system better, but this is the only way I'll be able to keep the quest going, I hope you all understand.))

> Durwin's Warband, (28 men), (71 crown weekly wages)

> Bandits, (8)
> Exp: 2
> Pay: 2 p/w
> Equ: Swords:(6), Clubs:(2) Horse:(8)
> Arm: Mail:(4), Clothes:(4)

> Bandits, (12)
> Exp: 1
> Pay: 2 p/w
> Equ: Clubs:(12)
> Arm: Clothes:(12)

> Deserters, (4)
> Exp: 5
> Pay: 5 p/w
> Equ: Swords:(4), Crossbows:(4) Horse:(4)
> Arm: Mail:(4)

> Peasants, (3)
> Exp: 1
> Pay: 2 p/w
> Equ: Clubs:(3)
> Arm: Clothes:(3)

> Ex-Guard, (1)
> Exp: 5
> Pay: 5 p/w
> Equ: Sword:(1), Crossbows:(1) Horse:(1)
> Arm: Mail:(1)

They're a capable force, that's for sure. If you felt like it, you could level an entire township with this army! But that'll have to wait, for now, it's time to revel in your victory. You give a stern command, "Break open one of them casks!" which your men are only to happy to oblige. Several hours later you've each shot off the crossbows a dozen times in gambling matches, beat each other with fists for the hell of it, and held a strange, yet festive dance when it turned out one of the peasant volunteers played a lute. Things are beginning to quiet down, and it's starting to get dark. Your men are huddled chatting around campfires, and sleeping in the wagons. The prisoners are divided into three groups, men, women, and children.

You find your eyes drifting over to the second category, two women sit, tied to the wheels of one of the older wagons. Yuth, the elderly trader, has fallen asleep, and Vaelyn, her sultry young granddaughter, lies tied to the wheel. Her tanned skin gleams in the firelight, and her short, blonde hair cascades down just beneath her shoulders. You find your eyes peering lower, and lower, and you find yourself feeling rather bold all of a sudden. You know you'd planned to take her after Yuth and Erbin had finished doing business in Orht, but, it's a rather cold night, and you're feeling lonely...

> Do you sleep with Vaelyn now?

> Yes, you've been eyeing her for quite some time now...
> No, the mead must be getting to you....

Hello!
I am Null, and with my good friend Eins, we will be QMing. As newfags we appreciate any feedback. Let's get right into it:

A man in ragged garb, apparently a member of the clergy, meets the traveling circus you are a part of begging for help. The circus has fallen on hard times, and its master is reluctant to render assistance. Unfortunately for him, the clergymen(?) produces the Royal Seal. The circus master is compelled to help. The man refuses any details except to say his charge has been kidnapped and taken deep into some nearby ruins. Grumbling he calls over the new recruits, the easiest to replace. Eager for adventure you accept without thought... Who are you?

This Quest will follow the story of a high school student who gains the ability to manipulate certain aspects of time. Whether this student seeks to develop their powers, use them for good or for personal gain has yet to be determined.

(We will be using d100 when rolling is necessary, sometimes DC will be posted, other times they will not. Voting system will likely be time based, I will be messing around with how long vote time will be, based on how many votes they get.)

You awake to a monotone chiming that belongs to your alarm clock. Straining yourself to reach it, you place your hand firmly on the snooze button and immediately roll over into bed again. You remember having a huge migraine last night, the most painful you have ever experienced. You have started getting them recently, but you wonder if school stress is making them worse. You also vaguely remember having a strange dream about a desert and time travel, but it’s hard to remember any details.

Whatever the case, your mind wanders to your sister, your mother and your school situation. The clock starts ringing again in short order, you silence it again, this time sitting up in the same motion. You rub your eyes and notice the details on your clock briefly.

You remember your mother buying you this alarm clock for your birthday, which she had the name______________engraved on the bottom.

SUB-BASEMENT EIGHT, THREE WEEKS EARLIER

As you push your wheelchair through the door, you’re greeted with a large featureless white room all around you, a row of observation windows at the top of the room while a single table in the center the room contains a brilliant red gem.

You wheel over to the gem in the middle of the room, grabbing the large red jewel in your hand and slowly looking over it. It appears as a flawless ruby about the size and shape of a hen’s egg in a flawless opal. It feels warm to the touch as you roll it around in your hands, holding it up to the lights near the top of the room so the distorted red light shines down on your face.

“Is this a jewelry show or are you trying to fix my back?” you ask the people who are no doubt listening. “I appreciate the multi-million dollar gift, but I’d rather get my back fixed than see the world’s biggest ruby.”

“That’s actually the scanning device. It's a high tech-solid type computer that’s able to quickly and efficiently map out your entire nervous system.” a male voice in the room calls down to you.

“Really? How does it work?” you ask looking over it in your hands, for all intents and purposes appearing to be a normal ruby.

“Just place it against your forehead and it will automatically start the scanning process. It should only take a few minutes.” the male voice replies. “Once we have a map of your nervous systems, the nanobots will know exactly where they’ll need to connect to form the artificial synapses.”

“Any other steps involved? Do I need to get out of my wheelchair and onto the table?” you ask.

“That’s for the nanobot section, you can remain in your wheelchair, makes no difference for the scan.” the male voice replies.

You take a deep breath at the Ruby in your hand, your hopes for not only your old legs back, but a return to your old way of life. Way from this damned prison you’re forced to roll around upon. The lingering second thoughts you have about this are squashed as you close your hand around the ruby.

“This had better work.” you reply as you place the gem against your forehead.

For the slightest moment you are confused to why the gem is ‘stuck’ against your forehead, this confusion is replaced by blinding pain in the next second, the inside of your head feeling as if something inside is spreading around inside of it before racing across entire body.

The male in the observation room says something, but you don’t pay attention to it. Your entire flesh feels as if it's being torn away piece by piece, lit on fire and then grafted back onto your bones. You collapsed down on the ground, kneeling over in pain and blind screaming.

An endless series of words scroll across your sight as it feels like someone is tearing your heart out from your chest, your screams stop as you no longer can pull air into your lungs. Panic sets in amidst the pain that if you do die, than it will be experiencing this unending hell for the rest of your life. A small mercy being granted to you as your senses and eyesight slowly grow dim.

“Wow, she’s actually taking.” you hear a voice say as you black out.

“That means we won’t need to subjugate her. Prep the Ghoststalker armour immediately, we’ll put it on her then assign her to group 14.” another female voice says before you finally black out.

******

“And that’s what I remember of how I became an Alchemical. The rest I already covered with you during the institute escape.” you finish up talking to Maggie while cloaked in the middle of the park bench.

Maggie can be seen furiously writing down what you said word for word on her pen and paper, before finishing up. “Here I was thinking you wouldn’t live up to your promise for that interview! What a difference compared to Exigents! Most of those say they often feel fulfilled with some new sense of purpose or duty after receiving their gift!”

“I envy them, I was only filled with pain, confusion, and more questions than I got answers for.” you say seeing the slowly turning fall leaves in the park over the view of the lake. The park right now is empty as a ghost, the only things here are the geese in the center of the lake, ignorant of all the problems you face.

“I wonder if that’s because you were a manmade Exigent of sort. I mean until Dragonblooded the only people capable of fighting off the elemental courts were friendly elementals. It's only with the developments of recent technology and the Dragonblooded that they were pushed back.” Maggie says gazing upon the lake with a big smile on her face.

“I know I know I read the reports, something about when becoming an Exigent the god’s goals has a massive impact on their behavior, etc... They often want to change the world, and here I am just trying to escape an island.” you reply to Maggie.

“Well no you shouldn’t think of it this way. In a sense this... this is your call to a higher power after you can no longer live in your home. It's a form of catharsis.... A spiritual Laxative if you will.” Maggie says.

You give her a hard stare even though she wouldn’t be able to see it. “Can’t you say anything that isn’t vulgar in a conversation for once?”

Maggie laughs as she waves her hand.“Na! That shit ain’t me! If I can’t do something to both inform and shock or disgust someone in a conversation in one way or another than I have failed as a journalist. Besides even if you don’t believe what I just said you can’t deny your talents right? Have you seen any improvements lately?”

“After many life or death struggles, I have actually.” you reply to Maggie.

TUTORIAL: MARTIAL ARTS MASTERY BONUS

Whenever Hibiki completely learns a martial art style, she’ll have the ability to learn a Mastery bonus! Style bonuses are powerful buffs to the charms of a particular martial arts and generally towards encouraging a particular playstyle. Be careful with your selection, because once you decide the effect is permanent!

- “When my enemies are unaware of my presence, many will fall.” (Vanishing Ninja: Hibiki becomes able to use the style from stealth far more effectively. Liquid Steel Flow does not end if one uses it to make a decisive attack and KO’s the opponent while Shining Star Execution gains the mute keyword and doubles 10s on damage rolls when made from stealth.)

- “Battle may be chaotic at times, but so long as one is patient and moves at their own pace to the eb and flow of battle, you will be victorious.” (Patient Master: For the daredevil. While Single Point form is up Hibiki may pay 2i to delay her action on purpose, waiting to be attacked. If she is than she the turn she delayed to clash that opponent with +1 automatic success to the roll and rerolling all 1s on the damage roll. Additionally if Hibiki just manages to parry an attack (meaning the opponent misses by 1 or less) and Hibiki may activate Horizon-Swallowed Star Flash as a special form of counterattack (and still gains the +1 bonus for winning a clash). This is called the “Just Guard” technique.)

- “I realize that I now live in a world where I pit steel against mystic arts, so I have learned how to rend those arts asunder.” (Slayer of Magic: For those who use to crush magical support an opponent has. If the opponent is crashed than Hibiki may activate Six-Demon Scabbard Binding for a special effect. By succeeding at a gambit at a special difficulty Hibiki is able terminate ongoing non-permanent charm or sorcery spell the opponent has once per crash. In addition Void Slicing Wind can be used in conjunction with a clash, allowing Hibiki to teleport up to extreme range [Roughly the horizon])

- "My skills are overall better, but I've yet to decide an area of focus." (Decide later, can do so at any time)

>What is this quest?

Alchemical Blade Prequel Quest, a quest set in the Modern version of Creation from the Exalted setting, focusing on how the robotic Alchemical Exalted came to be within the setting. If you love hints of Cyberpunk and high action quests, then you may enjoy this quest.

>Who are we?

The quest is mainly going to be played out in flashbacks, in which during the flashbacks we take control of the Moonsilver caste Alchemical Exalted Junpaku Hibiki, while in the current time you play as “Anonymous”. The game will take place within the city of Versino within the central continent of Creation Meruvia. Labelled as a dangerous and murderous science experiment gone rogue, you need to evade forces of the mightiest army within Creation sprinkled with the powerful Elemental supersoldiers known as the Dragonblooded, trying to find out who is responsible for what you’ve become and how to escape their clutches once and for all.

>Alchemical? Moonsilver? I don’t know anything about Exalted, much less Modern Exalted...

I’ve made this quest to be as friendly to newbies as possible, and I also see it as an introductory guide to the World of Modern Exalted. You can google “1d4chan Exalted” for information on the general vanilla setting, but what I’ll be using is the Modern Version of Exalted as shown in “Shards of the Exalted Dream” book, in where its Alchemicals are quite different than those of Vanilla Exalted. Feel free to ask any question about Exalted in the thread and I will do my best to answer it.

>System?

Dicepool system. When performing an action, everyone rolls a number of d10’s based on what the action is (I will list the pools for most actions, but if you want to have a roll for an action, ask and I’ll make the dicepool for it). The first roll is the one that’ll be used, but if someone makes another roll for a different action and more people vote for that, I’ll be using that one instead.

>This seems hella complicated, is there any way you can boil things down for me?

http://pastebin.com/NexXpPC1

>XP?

Favored Attributes cost 4 XP per dot to increase (Underlined on stat sheet when released) while non-favored ones cost 5 XP. Abilities themselves cost 3 XP per dot to increase naturally. All charms cost 6 XP per purchase with Dedicated slots costing 4 XP each and General ones costing 6 XP each. At the end of every “mission” (In game objectives set by either me or some goal the audience desires) you will be presented with a possible acquisition list of charms. Experience can also be gained by developing the character, learning about the world, or just in general things people find interesting.

>Ensure Dwarven pantheon is pacified and restructured into a united family with room for future gods to prevent something like this happening again. Let Marius do the talking.

It was a harrowing night. Marius had returned from the college after an intense amount of meditation. He called for the council urgently, and they gathered quickly.

"My friends, I have had a vision from the gods."

They all gasped before falling silent. The gods have contacted them? For what purpose? Marius answered that question.

"They spoke to me about the growing divide coming between us. Of how we had been worshiping them, yet also getting angry at each other for whom we worship. They are displeased with our mistrust in each other as a clan. As a family."

The priests lower their heads in shame.

"But they told me of what we must do to mend these ties. They want us to treat each other like family, just as they are a family themselves in the heavens. Sverkas, our lord, is one of the sons of father Magmos and Mother earth. They are together a family, and wish us to follow that example."

The room stays silent. For a moment, it seems as if the priests would explode again with shouts of heresy......

After sleeping like a log the whole night, you and Leah find yourselves extremely hungry when you wake. Neither of you took the time last night for dinner after yesterday's events, and it's only just now catching up to you. The two of you head down to the cafeteria, where you find the Elric brothers already at a table. They wave you over, and you both take a seat next to them.

"Hey guys, so we neglected to tell you some good news we got yesterday." Edward says. "With all the excitement, we kind of missed our chance to address it."

"You know how I got the ability to use transmutation without a circle yesterday?" Al asks. "It was because I regained my memories of seeing the truth. And while I was there, I saw my body! It's still there, in the gate! All we have to do is find out how to pull it back out."

"There's also the less pleasant detail that when we tried to revive mom, Al's soul was put into the body we created." Ed adds. "Until I gave my arm to pull it back out and bind it to the armor. And I'm wondering, if it costs so much just to move a soul around, how are we gonna pull Al's whole body out? Anyway, we'll keep looking into it. It's just nice to know his body is still there. It's the first tangible bit of hope we've had towards getting it back. At least, since the Philosopher's Stone was a bust."

All of you sans Alphonse go on eating, though at one point you could swear you saw him sneak some food up to his helmet. That would be ridiculous though, so you convince yourself you saw things wrong.

Once you're all finished, you get up and head out. Mustang wanted you to go see Yi sometime today to discuss things, but you don't actually know when that's supposed to be. In fact, if Mustang is going to be under increased surveillance, he may not get a change to come and discuss anything at all. You still aren't aware of the fallout from yesterday's incident.

>A.Go straight to Yi, you'll at least be able to get his take on things

>B.Go check out what the situation is like around the Lieutenant Colonel

>C.Ask the Elrics what they'll be doing

>D.You may be under watch yourself, even. You should do something else (Write-in)

In the last two threads we figured out I'm a slime in a fantasy world and I gain abilities by killing things.

I'm currently trying to attack a skeleton and it's not going well. I've just lost my baby slime core and the skeleton is poised to cut me down.

I still can't see anything. I've been trying to find a way to gain sight or at least hearing, but I'm not having any luck. Here are my skills and what I know about them if anything:

[Skill: Swordsmanship level 3]
[Skill: Magic]
I can sense and build up mana, but I'm lacking direction and skill. i don't really know what I'm doing.
[Skill: Pet training]
This has helped me train my baby slme to do things.
[Human language 42%]
[Skill: Nervous system control]
I have direct control over my baby slime. Not sure if that's normal or because of this.
[Special action: Murderer]
Got after killing my first human. Goblins apparently do not count.
[Skill: Larval care]
[Skill: Teamwork level 22]
[Skill: Digging level 6]
[Skill: Egg laying]
This allows me to lay an egg that will hatch into a baby slime.
[Skill: Leadership]
This has helped me train my baby slme to do things.
[Skill: Scent trails]
[Skill: Slime manipulation level 12]
This allows me to move my slime around with more precision and strength.
[Skill: Absorption level 20]
This allows me to absorb things and destroy objects and creatures. I have a suspicion it does some other good.
[Skill: Ambushing]
I feel like I know more about how to surprise pray.
[Skill: Goblin resistances]
[Skill: Weak will]
Creeps me out.
[Skill: Night vision]
Doesn't allow me to see at all.
[Skill: Light absorption]
May aid in mana regeneration.
[Skill: Self awareness]
This skill is my first memory. I don't know what I killed to get it, but I absorbed it's body.

so what I'm thinking is, for now, try digging a hole and hiding in the ground; and later when the skeleton loses interest using ambush or avoiding it all together
>>
>>857902
We should do this.
>>857893
We should also see if we can train our skills ourselves.
It seems our absorption skill is just too low.

I dodged out of the way and dug down. Digging is really easy. I can just move things out of the way just enough to fill the space. I'm a natural! or the skill is great, but whatever. The skeleton hacked at the ground for a bit after I pulled my slime off him and then it suddenly stopped. I think I'm safe.

Training my skills would be good, but I've been absorbing all kinds of things and it's only gotten better one time after killing another slime. On the other hand I have gotten better at using the skills I have with practice. This isn't included in my skills, but I learned to focus my absorption on one place and that made it more useful. I also learned to manipulate slime from my encounter with the other slime.

Some of my skills I don't understand at all and could use some practice.

In the late seventies through the early nineties, drug violence in South America only continued to escalate. A successful revolution by the IRA in Ireland encouraged similar revolts in central Africa that devolved into decades-long civil wars, and resulted in a USSR faction in the Russian government. Human trafficking for both the organ and the sex trades exploded between south-east Asia and eastern Europe. In the face of such chaos, government run militaries and various agencies were too caught up in red tape to be effective. Frustrated with procedure causing a lack of results, the wealthier citizens of the world turned to someone who would not be weighed down by the bureaucratic process.

Now, in 2032, the private military industry is a widely accepted fact of life, a necessary evil for the security of the world. While some resent these men for what they represent, still more turn to them when government forces would fail.

You are Jan Kowalski, a Polish special forces operator turned private military contractor. In return for cash and other liquid currency, you, and men like you, go places national militaries refuse, and that local police forces avoid.

“Let’s get to work, then,” Mikail says as he loads a drone up with one of your C4 blocks. “Nab one of them not paying attention, and find out what’s going on.”

The tree of you nod in response, and Solomon and Jonas withdraw their suppressed sidearms, vaulting the broken chunk of wall into the resort.

Turning right immediately, and enormously conscious of how obnoxiously large Egor is when you’re trying to sneak around with him. Solomon points out a man behind the corner of a building, taking a leak. You move to grab him, but Egor catches on a branch in the unkempt yard, and the man turns around with a yelp, his pants dropping around his ankles. You and Hyun leap at him, tackling him to the ground before he can get off a proper shout.

It’s clear he doesn’t speak english when you start asking questions, but Solomon begins speaking in Arabic, and the man begins blathering nearly immediately.

After a few minutes of exchanges, the man seems to relax, and Hyun turns to speak to the rest of you.

“They have about twenty hostages,” he begins, “keeping them in a conference room on the fifteenth floor. VIP’s from different organizations are in the top floor penthouse. They’re limited to mostly small arms and personal explosives, like grenades. There are a few MG points in the hotel, and a handful of RPG’s held in an armory.

“What are they planning, and where,” you ask Hyun, and he barks a few words to the hostage, who responds immediately.

“Going to sacrifice them in a few hours, huge pool on the penthouse floor,” Hyun answers. “Any other questions,” he asks the three of you.

‘Not really,” Dove says as you and Jonas shake your heads.

“Good,” Solomon says as he draws a combat knife, and dives towards the man, driving the blade deep into his throat. He lets out his death rattle as his body goes limp.

>He had an AK on him. You can take it if you like, but it will be dropped if you switch to your glock or Egor.

"Well, we have two options," Solomon says. "We can hit the barracks for the bulk of their troops are," he suggests, pointing to the respective building, "or we can hit the bar where most of the officers are likely to be. Either way, they'll be hurting."

"Or we could split up and hit both," Jonas suggests. "That would really fuck things up, but we might end up in trouble."

You open the door of your two story townhouse. The cold night air bites at the back of your neck as you step into the warm embrace of your home and remove your hat, black and grey it reads "security" on the front.

You unclip your ID badge and toss it on the coffee table while you flick on your lamp and drop into your chair.

You arrived back on Earth to witness Chuu Lee face off against an empowered Vegeta... and see your former student claim victory, as the Earth’s new World Martial Arts Champion!

Looking forward to the civil discussions on Chuu Lee's look today! If we argue feel free to give us the shut down.

I'm also fine with the old dice system.

Weeks later...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKX4-0VH45s

“You’ve almost got ‘em, Gohan! Pull harder!” Goku shouts excitedly.

“U-uurrrwwaaahhh!” your son shouts, pulling on a fishing rod and landing a fish the size of a bear on the shore.

“You got it! Yaaaay!” Peppa cheers, quickly bonking it on the head with her Practice Power Pole. Izumi giggles gleefully, riding Icarus above the scene.

You sit back, smiling at the scene with Chi-chi and your brother. Raditz sits curiously. “Huh. Never took you folks for the type to go fishing.”

“So that IS something they do on other planets.” Chi-chi comments, smiling like she just won a bet.

“What, you think Earthling monopolize on such activities?” he asks with a quick laugh.

Hard to believe that not too long ago your lives were on the line defending Brench. Chuu Lee’s been trying to relax as much as she can, given her newfound fame. Vegeta was furious with her when he found out what happened... but he seems to have accepted his loss, begrudgingly. Tarble and his wife should be meeting with the Brench leaders by now to see what they can do about the soldiers attacking their respective planets, and with his new Scouter you gave him he should be contacting you all again soon enough.

Things are probably going to get dangerous again, you don’t need your Foresight to see that. But for right now? It’s best to relax while you can. You all have earned a bit of peace and quiet.

>A. Take up a fishing pole, give it a go!
>B. So, Acer, Chi-chi, I’ve been thinking about the kids and schooling...
>C. Say, Raditz, how have you and Tights been doing?
>D. Something else?

>Information

This quest takes place long before the events of The Last Airbender. Long before Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, or Yangchen. You play as a young Earthbender from a small village in one of the many Kingdoms scattered across the main continent. As a powerful villain strives to dominate the world, you will be forced to make choices that can stop it, aid it, or have no effect whatsoever.

>Rules

After each update I make, there will be a voting period of ten minutes. Once ten minutes have passed, whatever option has the most support will be the winner.

Write-ins are accepted, but only when specified If you see a write-in option, suggest whatever you like. If not, choose from the options I have provided.

Sometimes, rolls will be required. I will assign them, and they will operate under a d100 system. You will have three chances, and if one of the rolls succeeds, you pass. There are no crits, but I do take into account how much you succeed or fail by.

I reserve the right to veto certain write-ins, but will try to avoid doing so.

I hope you all have fun

I've had an idea for a civ quest which has some different concepts. The key one being the idea of "what if Darwin's discovery of the genetic bell curve didn't exist?" that is, what if genetics didn't have limits, and eventually you could depart just through breeding strategically get completely different results?

All rolls will be based upon the d100 with bonuses depending on research, items and skills.

Dawn of humanity and the world

-----------------------------------------------

The Gods united together to create the universe and planets, and everything within them. They knew it would take every single drop of their power to make the best Creation they could. A flash of light and a loud chanting died away slowly as the worlds were made, humans among the races created.

Around 400 humans came into being placed on the edge of a quiet (but rapidly coming to life as the birds and other creatures realized they existed and their nature asserted their selves) forest.

The humans did not know where they came from, or what they were supposed to do. All they had was some basic collective knowledge, and individual specialist knowledge. They also had some tools and basic clothing.

-------------------------------------
Year 0

Population: 400 completely normal young adult humans.

Culture: basic tribe

Religion: none

Government: Tribe without leadership claimed

Military: none

Technology: basic tools and clothing

Traditions: none

Assets: basic tools and clothes, tribe population

-------------------------

What do you do (pick 3)

A:Construction

B:Food

C: Millitary

D:Culture

E:Religion

F:Technology

G:Magic

[s]The original gods have completely exhausted themselves making Creation and either completely have ceased to exist, or are powerless incorporeal beings that potentially can be filled with power through prayer. However no one has any knowledge of them, since the Gods were careful in making their Creation cool. Magic will be a bit different in this civ quest but is doable. Requires breeding and being careful and time.

There is also Crafting that will be an option opened up a bit later when I feel we have the capability of it. It will be making unique/special versions of what we already can make generically[/s]

TIME FOR TRANSHUMANISM.

First things first: Traits and you being a Cyborg.

Thanks to the advancements made by Vinson Dynamics, you now have +2 to all of your stats. You now also have new trait: Cyborg.

[As a Cyborg you are stronger and faster than a normal human being or pilot. However, you are more affected by Arc weaponry and electricity]

The second thing is that you can now choose a single trait from this list.
>Cold Hearted: Thanks to your augmentation you don't exactly feel... loving anymore. You are immune to charm and more resistant to seduction.
>Eagle Eyes: Thanks to your training as a sniper, you are unusually perceptive of things.

Also, you get to choose one Cybernetic Augment that can give you another +2 to a stat, or a +1 to your Primary Skills. You can also write in if you want a split between two stats.

Next post will be about your time in the Academy.
