Does anyone have a guide to posing MTF transsexuals suggestively without giving away that they are trans. I'm going to shoot nude and hook up with a passing trap like pic related

Have you ever massively changed your subject matter or stir because you got tired of what you were doing?
Personally, I went from "street" (in the mountain west) to portrait to nude/boudoir over the course of ten years and I'm feeling ready for a change. Will probably stick with some more restrained style of portraiture.
Pic sort of related.
Yes, I got tired of reportage photography (though I still make a living out of it), so I switched to a candid snapshot aesthetics and started doing artsy installations

This is lovely.
All representation, photography included, is more or less premised on the concept of realism. Realism as in a relationship to an existing world--semblance, resemblance, or what have you. That's a gross generalization, of course, but the point is that I'm less interested in the relationship itself than I am in the things being related to in the first place.

In short, just what do people take pictures of? And how do our arbitrary snapshots of nothing (if we are being honest) become substantial enough to be seen as photos of something?

Looking to develop my own negatives would this Tetenal developing kit be any good? Or are there better alternatives?
There's lots of alternatives, I prefer digibase but it's up to you to try and see what gets you the results you want at the temps you want to process at.
If you never developed anything before then I wouldn't start with c41, though. Start with bw at room temperature till you're comfortable with the process and handling the chems before moving to c41 and controlling higher temps
>>3106061
there's nothing spooky or scary about c41, even controlling temperature is not a big deal, it's not going to drop fast enough in room temperature
>>3106062
It really isn't, it's just that colour development is so cheap where I live that I can't be bothered. I have the exact same kit as OP, but it's still sealed as I just drop off C41 rolls for development and I prefer b/w anyways (muh darkroom printing), so I'd never finish the kit before it goes bad
I'm a bokeh whore, /p/. Is it bad?

Can I get some lightroom help? I'm fairly new to photography and have been practicing with some pictures I took and this one is giving me some challenge. Nothing I've been trying makes it look any good - with the effort of course being to highlight the three sections of the image separated by the bridges.
Any suggestions?

Practice, look at tutorials, hating your work is a good sign. Keep taking pictures until you think you live up to your own expectations, I've been doing this for 5 years and still think I suck.
>>3104639
any tutorial suggestions? I've been watching a few and it's mostly "this is what all the buttons do", not much in the way of practical advice.
>>3104644
I made the mistake of being roped in by professional hacks and it took me 2 years to unlearn their over edited crap. I have no real list of tutorials other than who to avoid. Find your niche, share your work, take criticism wherever you can from people that won't placate your emotions. Unless you're naturally gifted, it will take you years of practice before people won't think you're a joke. The only thing you can do to improve is take thousands of pictures, edit hundreds of them, share your work, accept criticism, and improve, there is A LOT of trial and error in photographer since there is an infinite amount of variables to work with.
I'm not anywhere trained enough to critique your work, I just go by instinct, there are plenty of people that frequent this board that will. As in, with the picture you posted, I have no idea what the subject of the photo is supposed to be, just looks like a random snapshot of a road at night that has a stadium half way in frame, which distracts from the image, too much clutter. I'll give you credit that at least your photo is clear and you have the good sense to use a tripod.
Does anyone on this fucking board have friends?
I swear nobody posts portraits here, it's just fucking buildings. That's not good photography, you subject has no emotion or personality. It's lame and wack.
Why is there so much architecture photography on this board?
>>3102977
I don't like posting pictures of people I know to a forum with a bunch of bitter anons who will tear them apart on the basis of their appearance, and on a bad day, might try to dox them.
>>3102979
Yea that's kinda why I don't post my photos here as the anonymus style doesn't work with my hyper personal work.
That being said recent photos is just "har har grass, and books on a dlsr"
Why are manual lenses so much more fun to use?

Do you lose anything on your images by fixing your white balance in lightroom vs in camera? Like I have a gray card and I usually take a pic of that then sync all the images from that "roll" to the white balance from that pic in light room. Should I really be doing white balance in camera instead?

The subject of this series is a psychedelic mushroom dealer.
Call it edgy, but I figured it'd be more interesting than doing a series on my parents, workmates, ect given the short time allocated for the assignment.
