Literally the only rule of photography is, don't take a boring picture.
If you have an interesting subject you can put film up your asshole and use your anus as an aperture and people will think it is a good photo.
>>3112338
Shhhh if the secret gets out, there won't be any more trash /p/ threads
Is auto focus a meme? Why do great cameras like Leica use manual focus only?
(also why does Leica only produce like a dozen lenses and none of them are more teli than 50mm?) How do you have a zoom lens that only has 3 focal lengths?
>>3111555
If you have the urge to post something that is in the form of
>is [whatever] a meme?
Then it's a stupid question, you should feel bad, and you should seriously consider suicide.
>Is auto focus a meme
no
>Why do great cameras like Leica use manual focus only?
because you can focus on making small quality reliable lenses without having to build in focus motors and a focusing system in camera
>(also why does Leica only produce like a dozen lenses and none of them are more teli than 50mm?)
rangefinder framelines
>How do you have a zoom lens that only has 3 focal lengths?
it's like having three primes in one instead of a zoom that covers everything inbetween
delete this thread and then go outside and practice prefocusing
>>3111558
>delete this thread and then go outside and practice prefocusing
I have 2 manual focus only lenses. One in 35mm and one 50mm. 90% of the time is it faster just to put those lenses at f/8 then to use an auto focus lens
What a fucking joke mju is a fucking meme

You mean photography? There's nothing inherently special with it being done using a drone other than all your pictures being aerial photos.

It's not grain those are stars nigguh, and they're all over the place not just in the lower half of the picture.
The moon is pretty grain heavy though. But for a consumer level, decade old camera you shouldn't be surprised.

Hi i'm a product design student, would like to get the same neutral aspect on my photos as following pictures. I have some spare money to invest on a new lense for my a6000. Untill now i've only had the opportunity to play with the sel 18-55 and some canon legacy lenses and i was wondering in which lense/gear (i guess light is super important in my case) i should invest as it would be only for work purpose

I vote for the Zeiss Touit 50mm macro. Especially if someone else is paying.
Why is Abigail Adams so famous when all she did was take /p/-core snapshits of mountains and shit? It's all pleb landscape shit and she's a hack only famous for marrying a president.
Do you mean Ansel Adams? And Ansel is a he.

i guess go with canon eos m + 22mm.
How can I fix the composition of this mess? Sure I have a bunch of Lightroom presets to make the stars look better but I am asking for help with the foreground. I don't know how to use photoshop to put a different foreground in the pic. Do I just crop it out and just show the stars or what...The camera was level but the mountain in the background is not.
Also astrophotography thread
what mountain?

For some reason a Canon 6d doesn't show exif data, but if you download the pic, then you can see it. It was in La Palma, so technically a volcano ridge.
>>3112202
There is GPS data in the pic.
Are 645 medium format cameras even worth the purchase?
For years I thought anything smaller than 6x6 was stupid. Then I started shooting a bunch of 35mm in point and shoots. Realized how fun it was and how photography doesn't always need to be slowed down and super deliberate to get good results. Then I heard about the Fuji GA cameras, basically everything I liked about shooting 35mm point and shoots in a medium format package. Picked one up and have been loving it.
I still think shooting 6x4.5 with an SLR is silly, just as I think shooting 35mm with one is silly. But if you want to shoot MF in a portable package...there are a few good choices out there.
>>3112000
>shooting 35mm with [an SLR] is silly
nice trips but please explain. not necessarily arguing, just curious.
>>3111997
If you wanna go medium format compact and can afford it you might as well go 6x7
it's not liek a 645 compact is actually compact compared to a 35mm or an aps-c digital like a GRD
