So i broke off one 10mm bolt that holds the water pump to the engine block for my 7th gen accord
How fucked am i? Doesn't look like i can drill it without significant work taking out a bunch of crap off. How much would a shop charge to do this?
Is it even worth doing if my pump is fine?
Pic unrelated since i don't have any car pics
Have you taken off the water pump yet? If there's still enough of the bolt sticking out you could just get a vice grip to clamp on it and spin it out easily.
>>15926031
I see. So take out the other two bolts and see if the pump comes off just by pulling by hand?
Is there any harm just leaving it like this until i actually need to replace the pump?
>>15926075
>there any harm just leaving it like this
Yes
Why were you fucking with it anyway

you deserve it you dumb fucking shit.
You could have had a debt for anything, OP.
You could've had school debt for a good job
You could've had car debt like STIman for a nice ride
You could've had credit card debt like you just hit New Orleans up for a good time and lost it.
Instead, you chose to hit someone's property.
Kys my man.
>>15925799
All you had to do was turn the key to run without hitting the starter.
Fucking inbred moron. You deserve the debt.
How fucking loud is the car that you couldn't start it? And how retarded are you to forget the emergency brake is a thing?
Are stainless steel brake lines a meme?
No. Fresh brake hoses will always be an improvement, stainless will be more of an improvement because brake pressure isn't lost to the hose expanding.
>>15925728
Not if they're properly lined and shielded. Cheap ones without shielding will cut through anything they touch.
Yes, stock hoses are already reinforced (steel braiding on S2000s/NSXs, thick aramid/fabric layer on BMWs pic related) to handle the pressures without expanding.
Rubber lines fail by weeping/leaking, more gradually than Stainless Lines just blowing out (bad crimps on ends of fittings or abrasion from not being properly routed)
I'd like to see a comparison between new rubber lines and stainless steel lines in brake feel, but most of the change in brake feel comes from replacing 10-20+ year old rubber lines with new stainless steel ones.
Is there any worse feeling than this? I've never hated myself so much. I could bitch about modern car blindspots and the conditions all I want, but it doesn't change what is says on my record. I'm a piece of shit who doesn't deserve to drive, and can never say I'm a good driver again.

Not much of a story but I'm still angry with myself. Friend who was in the passenger seat said he saw them doing 90 or something, which explains why the damage is more than a fender bender and why it was such a surprise.
What do now? Trying to buy a ltw spoiler for it

A request to the mods:
Is it at all possible that we can get webms with sound here on /o/? The sounds of engines and driving are a pretty big part of car and bike culture.
No.
Yes, what we really need is /dbt/ webms of fucking nothing happens: sound edition
We can't even get board moderation, you expect to get sound?
Looking for a midsize sedan. Yes i have a kid. I want to prioritize technology and reliability. No older than 2015. Keep the price tag below 34k. Help please.

Hypothetical situation
You're driving down the highway and on the side if the road you see a z32 sitting on the shoulder, with a note on the windshield. On the note it says, "I'm tired of working on this thing. Damn engine blew again! Whoever wants it, can have it!" Obviously you're not one to pass up a free car, so you call up a tow company and have it taken to your house. Once there, you set to diagnosing the engine issues. Upon further inspection you find that it's completely tits up fucked. Non repairable. So, you decide to do a swap! What do you put in? A JZ? An RB? Maybe an LS? It's up to you.

Very cool choice
VH45DE might be cool.
Or an Audi inline 5 turbo, boosted to borderline stupid levels because I'm fucking insane.
I'm about to put 4 new quarts of conventional oil into my 2012 Fiesta. Can't be fucked to pay $15 extra for synthetic.
How fucked am I?
>>15924860
Five quart jug of most brand name full synthetic oils currently at my local usa wal-mart for $23 to $25. So when you say synth is $15 more, that's quite a shock. The wal-mart house brand full synth is $17.99 for a five quart jug.
Change it before 3k miles. Conventional will sludge up in these tiny gokart engines.
you just lost 50 torques
How do you determine if you should name your car with a male or female name?
Simple.
If it's hard working, reliable, does what you want to do with minimum fuss, it's male.
If it's pretty, makes you excited, yet it's temperamental; it's female.
>naming your car
Only girls and normies do this.
>>15924815
>implying girls arent normies
Since some of you guys have actually bought cars that cost more than like 3k, what is a credit score that would allow someone to buy a car at 0% like is advertised often? Im trying to buy a truck but they cost a fuck ton but if I can finance at a low enough rate I wont have to worry all to much. Any help would be great.
Why are you trying to buy a car you can't afford?
>>15924738
A great credit score won't help if the loan will push your debt to income ratio through the roof.
Well the thing isnt that I cant afford it, I just dont want to spend more than a set amount. I mean you dont go out and buy a mustang and just pay whatever they want you to do you? Im trying to keep my payments within a certain range.
