I had a dream and someone smart told me...
>Everyone should drive inline 6
It was implied that the configuration of the drive wheels and engine position (FF/FR/RR/RF) were personal preference as long as you drive an inline 6.
*What is...
>FF/FR/RR/RF?
The first letter tell the position of the engine and the second tells you which wheel are the drive wheels (which moves the car)... F for front and R for rear.
FR would be front engine and rear wheel drive...*
TL;DR: Discuss inline 6
I like my Cummins though but thanks
>>15933643
Yes, the first letter in engine/drive acronyms are always engine placement and second letter is always drive wheels
And yes, everyone should drive an i6 at some point in their life to know how glorious of an engine design it is, especially pic related
I hate my mum's BMW x5, except for when I need to put power down and that 3 liter i6 just pumps out torque like a mofo! Best engine design ever, save maybe a v12
As a thank you for sucking his dick so well (and swallowing), Scotty Kilmer hands you a briefcase with 100 billion dollars in it.

is it reliable enough to be both funcar and daily commuting box?
Nobody knows how reliable it is because it just came out.
why not?
It really depends on what do you need car to do, the RS is a better funcar than a daily car, there is one alternative, the Civic Type R, its better daily car but worse fun car
I scratched this part of my car. Do you know if it is possible to purchase this individual part of my car and what is the name of it?
Help is greatly appreciated.
this is also my exact car, it seems removable. Like it isn't part of my bumper.
You mean a nose panel?
>>15933300
Some ebay searches for grills make it seem like it comes off. Why not just repaint it? Use filler if its deep. Bumper parts usually come unpainted anyway
What's the most you would realistically be ever willing to spend on a car?
A couple million.
Realistically I COULD win the lottery.

with my current job? 35k€
>>15933099
Probably sub-$10k with my current bills/debt, but once everything is paid off and I only have to worry about the essentials, I plan to be spending $20-30k on a new toy.
Are fram filters really that terrible o?
I see everyone always saying they are absolute shit but today i went to autozone to buy oil and a filter for my turbocharged car which requires synthetic oil and the only brands they had where fram, k&n, bosch and duralast or whatever the autzone brand is
Fram and duralest where the only ones that had filters that specified they were for synthetic oil so i ended up buying a fram
So is fram really shit or is it just a meme?
Meme. They're fine.
>filters that specified they were for synthetic oil
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HOLY SHIT
They didn't have fucking Wix? They don't have those on the shelf, you ask for them. If you split a Fram filter open you'll see it looks like something Macguyver made out of bathroom supplies. They're fine for shitboxs. If you have a fancy turbo car running synthetic spend the goddamn money for Wix.
Is the ae86 the best car ever made?
No, it's a meme car and the whole show was based based on Kakumi having to overcome the shortcomings of his shitbox. Kyoichii basically made a fool of him and showed him that his engine is a turd.
>>15932925
yes champien
>>15932946
But keiichi tsu hiya says its the fastest car he has ever driven.
The lowest TCO $ cars are now hybrids. Did environmentalism give us all better cars?
Yeah I fell for that meme. Now my hybrid is falling apart at 200k. Computer shit going wrong left and right. Only Toyota can fix it. They issue out a buttload of tsb and fuck you when the cars old enough to get those problems. Out of warranty of course. Everyone's solution is to yell and be a prick until they honor it.
How the fuck could they know the cost of ownership on such a new car?
>>15932886
200k? How old is the car?
>>15932875
>boiling down a car purchase to just numbers
i sure hope you guys don't do this.
Lets share some facts about platform sharing and parts bin specials, where you can get decent bolt-on upgrades for your car by using OEM parts off another car.
Example: Though the share almost NOTHING, the Huge Brembo brake calipers from the second generation Cadillac CTS-V bolt right onto the stock spindles of an American market Chevy Sonic. With no modifications.
>>15932644
That's pretty strange, is there any stuff like this for volvos?
>>15932709
Unsure. Probably. look it up. Volvos had sister cars among Ford and Lincoln so it's worth looking.
Example: The Volvo C30, Ford Focus, and Mazda 3 all share the same platform. and have numerous interchangeable parts.
The Ford 2.3/2.5 Lima engines.
Famous for powering the Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and the Ford Mustang SVO.
Did you know you can do a DOHC 16 valve conversion by using the cylinder head from an unrelated Volvo engine? The Volvo engine in question with the compatible head is the B234F.
It's not a complete molt on but the amount of modifications for it to work is very minor and cheap.

Could i buy a 200w power inverter that plugs in your cigarette lighter and hook up a PC subwoofer to my car. than use a aux splitter to hook it up to my car speaker and phone to play music. just a thought i had because i have a random polk audio sub which i dont use and ive been thinking of installing it in my car. is this a good idea or am i retarded, thanks /o/
>>15932494
My computer subwoofer was already 12 v rated
>>15932494
its prolly 6 ohm or something
not very efficient on power
that and it will likely suffer from port flutter
Sup br/o/s, 30 days ago I bought a 2016 Focus ST. Tomorrow I'm having a stealership fix my factory recall for software updates. Of all the performance vehicles I've owned over the years, this vehicle by far handles the best. Power wise it's meh but what do you expect from 250 HP? It'll put you in your seat a little but nothing to brag about. But I digress. I wanted to start a Tricks n Tips thread for any vehicle out there. Have a question in regards? Ask away. Know of anything that should be given to the public? Post here.
For myself I'd like to know if I can install projectors into the standard housing for the ST? I didn't buy an additional package because I really only wanted the turning lights with HIDs. Fuck everything else. The standard cloth seats are far more comfortable for a viking sized man as myself. And who needs a 4pt headrest?
>>15932472
>>15932472
I too have a focus ST.
as far as i know, and I have done very minor research, you can't really just put the projectors into the stock housings. what you'd need to do is buy the projectors, housing and all, and install it that way. I imagine this means including any extra harnesses/wiring not provided with the standard head lights.
The cloth seats are relatively comfortable but on long trips they do cause a little fatigue in the legs since it has somewhat of a weird angle, pointing your knees more up.
The ST2 package seats with partial leather are the best compromise and for the price it does come with a lot of nice goodies buuut you aren't missing out on much.
