What's the ultimate form of commuting?
Walk
Bicycle
Motorcycle/scooter
Car
Public transport
>>15934778
Motorcycle. Fast enough to not disturb traffic, small enough to avoid congestion.
>>15934778
a really well run light rail system
its not like you were going anywhere special
>>15934778
There is no ultimate in commuting. All the ways of transport are just another method of sheep herding.
Living to work is miserable. When you're working to live, work is your life and your home. Transport is only for travel and business.
>wait... you were ACTUALLY shopping this against a Fiesta ST?
>>15934728
Why is he such a dick to some people that let him drive their car? And then he makes money from it after.
>>15934728
>korean cars
lmao
>>15934819
The guy drives 600hp+ sports cars all day and you give him the keys to your $15k Kia... What do you expect??
>>15934827
>pretty much competing with cars that cost 3x as much
how will Ford recover?
Hello guys.
In a few days I'll be selling my shitbox.
I'm going to buy my friend's 1999 996 Carrera 4 Porsche (3.4 330hp).
So, tell me why I SHOULD and SHOULDN'T buy it.
Put a nice picture of a tuned 996 while you comment.
Thanks G's.
meh
anyone .. ?
:(
Why do so many cars (M2, Focus RS, Golf GTI Clubsport) come with gay 'overboost' settings that enable more power for a few seconds? Why isn't it just all go all the time?
>>15934583
desu 30 seconds is enough
>>15934592
Why even 30 seconds? If I buy a car with a set amount of power it should have it without me having to press a stupid button to tell it to be as fast as it should be.
German engineering, the engine would explode.
Alright, so, we all know Toyota pickups are the literal war chariot of the third world. Used so much as mobile infantry carriers a war was named after them.
But what about Jeep? It actually started as vehicles if war. Do poor impoverished third world countries use Jeep to ferry their troops to battle?
Nope, they're plastic lifestyle toys nowadays.
>>15934548
Hi, I thought they were at the very least somewhat tough for off-road stuff, then what excuse do they have for being so impractical and stupid looking?
>>15934715
It's an iconic design. That's it.
Is there anything wrong with me keeping my weedeater gas in a water jug?
Too lazy to go out and get another 1 gallon jerry can.
>>15934452
>no vent
>illegal
>dangerous
>easily punctureable
>gas may dissolve some plastic over time
>>15934452
Leak occurs in garage.
Your house catches on fire.
Insurance refuses to pay because arson is suspected.
Fire inspectors verify accelerant was utilized to start the fire.
Meanwhile, your neighbor's insurance company sues you for replacement cost for their home that was damaged due your house's fire also partially burning their house.
Your insurance company uses the modified law to delay judgement of payout amount until arson case resolution.
Neighbor's suit concludes. You owe approx $250,000K damages and $18,000 alternate living expenses and per diem food & transportation compensations.
Your wages are now garnished 50% to pay towards the amount you owe plus penalty interest.
You become homeless because at 50% garnish, you don't have enough to pay for an apartment.
There are lots of people who make bad decisions. They lose a court case and become homeless. Court judgements have ruined the lives of many people and in many cases permanently so.
So here's a random question; how long is gas good? I just bought a car that's been sitting about a year. We opened up the tank and there's still a good amount of gas but I thought it smelled a little off.
FULL carbon/kevlar body conversion for road-cars
is it legal?
Depends on your location.

Vic, Aus

i swear there's a neon coupe with a full carbon body
it looks like shit
So I'm following the forever stickied guide to buying a car and I just LOVE the Jeep Cherokee 4.0s but I can't find a good one around here because they're all leaking oil or tranny fluid, or have so much rust that I'm surprised the engine doesnt just drop out the bottom of the car. Any suggestions on alternatives? I don't like the blazer and 4Runners are hell expensive here in NYC for Toyota Reliability reputation... Do I start leaving notes on good jeeps windshields?
>>15934353
Jeeps are shit m8. 4 runners shouldnt be that expensive.
If you cant afford to fix an older vehicle then you dont need a heep
>>15934353
Keep looking my dude, nothing will beat the god like 4.0 and they all leak a little oil, the valve cover likes to leak
>>15934400
So it lasts a long time with a small leak and adding oil?
What do I do /o/, I'm 23 and the cartilage in my left knee is practically nonexistent (and wearing fast). Giving me constant pain and whatnot.
Do I just deal and stay manual to heaven?
Or do I become an auto pleb?
Anyone else in the same boat?
>pic unrelated, a froggie underhood of our HMMWV
>>15934300
We can't really tell you, you just have to decide if it's worth it. If you really love driving a manual to the point that it outweighs the pain, then keep it up. But most people won't judge you for driving an auto because you have an injury
Cant you Drive a semi automatic? Shifting with paddles etc.
Buy a nice dct and save what's left of your knee.
What are your honest thoughts on this car?
I know it's a pain in the ass to service this German barge and I also know there are only a handful of mechanics that do Phaeton in the Western Hemisphere.
It's only liked by a very few number of people.
It has so many unique features of it's own.
It's the ultimate stealth wealth car because it looks like a Passat.
There are a few on the eBay for less than 10k which has 100k miles. I've been watching a lot of reviews on this car and I think I'm having an affinity towards this car. I've never had a feeling like this. Should I buy it knowing all the pits I'll be falling into?
>stealth wealth
wealthy people don't buy VW
Mr.Regular said "Who wants Corvette, but dont want Corvette?"
And this car is for people who want a A8 but dont want A8
>>15934112
Just buy the cleanest one you can find with good service records. Wear items aren't too expensive but if any non-wear items break you're gonna get raped. You can save money by doing some things yourself.
1989 rhd mr2 for 6500. is it worth it?
Mileage, condition, etc etc you fucking retard
If low miles and supercharged yes
If not fuck no
My bad 42000 miles and not supercharged, but 4age
I think I speak for all of us here when I say, "Fuck you, mini-van drivers" and to a not-so-lesser extent [insert favorite vehicle type here]
I think I speak for myself when I say "Fuck you."
>>15934028
>insert favorite vehicle type here
bicycles
>>15934034
>butt-blasted mini-van driver detected
>mfw Lithuanian roundabouts
What about them?
>he hasn't mastered the scandinavian flick
>>15933715
>Vast majority of roundabouts get priority
>vast majority of drivers go 10-20 km/h above speed limit
>To enter the roundabout, you have to time it perfectly, unless you want a fucking douchebag in a BMW to Ram you or worse
>Roundabouts are the perfect place for Trolleybuses to loose connection to the electrical wires, causing traffic jams
>Everybody always stick their face up your ass so you get paranoid about fucking up your shifting and stalling
Fuck 'em
How much should I be paying for an aw11 mr2 with no serious rust or mechanical issues, running and driving?
>>15933679
Depends on the country, and mileage
>>15933679
Depends on many factors
>>15933679
I'd say around 2-3k fur one like that pic, no idea what they go for but that's what it should be.
Should I get one, /o/? It'll be a bit of a financial stretch but I have enough income to afford it. Whaddya think?
really sexy car. too young to judge reliability.

Get the na 6.3 and you'll cream your pants every highway on-ramp
>>15933664
