ive always helped people who wanted to finetune their valves but now that the engine comes by default with untuned valves and i cant check WHICH ONE needs to be tuned and the ticking sound wont go away i cant figure out how to do this shit.
8 fucking valves and i dont know which one is too lose, which one is too thight, or if some are loose and others are thight.

Can someone help me pick out a dash kit? I have a 2005 Saab 9-5 (Arc sedan). Installed a 2-DIN radio, needs a dash kit to keep it held snug.
Please forgive the dust. I couldn't see it until I took these pictures. My eye sight must be getting pretty bad.
Cars that look good only to you or have a cartoon factor to them.
Jeep fc150 with a 2000 something tj frame and drive train swap.

My friends say it's too old and that old farmers only drive them. Mind you my friends like Lambos, Gattis or some other expensive speed demon they might not come close to ever affording.. basically they aren't to car savvy.

nigga that's kawaii as fuck
needs more round water tank on the rear though

it is pretty cute
What is the main appeal of Japanese cars (tuners), it seems like most people who have them just ruin them with stickers like these i saw on a r34 and it made me laugh (pic related), or try to destroy the car in someway or another. And everyone thinks they are supreme drift cars or something and in reality you do not need one of these cars to drift, they may have good chassis for doing this but really you don't 100% spend your money on these vape taxed, usually molested, 'sliding' meme machines. Now i do not hate these cars as for example the S15 is a nice looking car and i wouldn't mind having one, or a 04 wrx only because i love Colin mcrea but that's the same reason they're expensive, as long as its not had any parts removed and/or fucked.
I do like older Japanese cars like the Skyline 2000gtr (only skyline i'd buy), the rx3's or like a Toyota 2000gt (funny looking car isn't it) none of which i can afford :(
Like i said my problem isn't the car its the people who do these things that are perfectly normal and fine. I am a guy who likes most cars (mostly muscle and v8's, not that this matters) but when people do this type of stuff its like why do this at all. One of my friends wants a 180sx, i do not care that he likes this car because i know he will not molest it, i also like the look of this car to (unless the panels are connected by zip-ties or other shit). If you are going to buy one to put cancer stickers on it, pretend to be dagumi and be an autistic weeb that plz kys, BUT if this is not what you want than than plz go ahead, make your car presentable, even if you don' have the money there is ways to show you're not completely autismo.
Thats part of what i think anyway, so what about you?
People can do whatever, who cares, I need people to make fun of like you OP, you dick sucking faggot
>>16118056
Im pretty sure people who put stickers on cars like that are retarded
>>16118056
Some ones put stickers on there car and is clearly butthurt
Considering buying an audi a7 in a few months, currently browsing what's out there. Budget is 80k euro.
Anyone wanna comment on the car and what they think about it (exterior-wise), or even describe how it is to drive if you ever have done that?

what does /o/ use as a wheel cleaner? i dont want to spend 5$ on wheel cleaner anymore. can i just use soapy water? i usually use the car wash soap left over when i'm done washing the car but it doesnt do that good of a job. any advice?
i'm also thinking about removing the wheel from the car and deep cleaning the back of the rim. the wheel weights wont come off if i start cleaning back there right? i'll be careful around them but i dont want them to peel off somehow
>>16117967
Paint stripper works a treat on wheels, so long as they aren't painted from factory - especially for removing brake dust.
>>16117967
As someone who constantly has to clean his wheels. I think the best bet is to take em off, hose em down, hit em with degreaser/acid, hose down, and dry.

I'm currently enrolled at uni in the SF Bay Area, where space is of a premium. I'm borrowing a family car for my reliable transportation (and it takes up my parking spot), but I'm itching for a project car, itching real bad. Car storage places are $150/mo and up (you're not allowed to wrench there either), and DIY garages cost $40 per hour. How can I into shitbox without going broke?
>inb4 move, don't worry I think about it every day

Sorry for your loss :(
Move, that city is gay dude. Move to SoCal

Alright br/o/thas I am in need of some counsel. I know little to nothing about datsuns, however not to vehicles as I've worked on plenty of vehicles so far in my life.
Lemme throw this out there, right now I have the decision between 3 datsuns. I want a daily that can be fun and eventually make into a rally car. Pic related.
73' 240Z
*4 spd
*Hasnt ran in 2 years.
*Two Carbs
*Has the rear louvers
*needs windshield
81' 280zx (2+2)
*5 spd
*L28ET but no exhaust manifold and the turbo is in the back seat
*Hasnt been ran in 2 years.
*T- Top
*Needs windshield
*No Title
Finally,
A 81' 280z
*T-Top
*non turbo'd (L28E)
*5spd
* It runs but only when given some gas, guy fired it up today and burned off a bunch of old gas. The owner also said the engine was "recently" rebuilt 3k miles ago (rings, seals, gaskets).
*clean title
All of there interiors are pretty shot and the dashes on the 280s are cracked bad, the 240 not a all.
>>16117475
240Z senpai.
They are pretty easy to work on.
Check the frame rails for how rotted they are. If you are good at welding there are new ones available and they clean up pretty well.
5 speeds are plentiful and easily changed.
Ditch the SU carbs, they can be tricky to tune webers makes a kit to mount new weber carbs.
280Z isn't a bad choice, given it fires up.
L-Jetronic is a pain.
>>16117627
The rust wasnt bad, its dinged up and the driver door is pretty messed up because it got hit. Im no stranger to welding, pretty much rebuilt frames for friends, because the cancer that is rust eats them up. However I'm hesitant about carbs because I have zero experience with them.
>>16117475
If its an 81, then its a zx, not a z(z,s also didnt come in t-top). I'd go for the 240 for resale value and sportier feel, the zx's are way more "luxurious" and boaty, also only a little more power with a huge weight gain compared tot he 240's
>R35 GT-R grows more dated, more expensive, and less impressive by the year
>Acura NSX is an extremely expensive flop that costs as much as much better supercars
>new Supra is going to be a BMW Z5, and we all know how heavy/unreliable/overpriced BMW's are
How does it feel knowing that our last hope of getting a decent Japanese halo car rests on a fucking rotary engine?
>>16117474
Feels good man.
>>16117487
i hope the new owners remember to premix.
Japan is dying desu
>population is getting older as less people have kids or even socialize with each other
>car companies are being further run into the ground by old executives who now have the same mentality as 1970s Ford execs
>Japanese cars aren't exciting anymore, the Lexus experiment failed and now Japan has gone off the deep end with car design (see pic related)
>the Japanese are counting more and more on self-driving cars, driving in the country will likely be outlawed in 20 years time
>old conservatives in the government are trying to make Japan great again by reforming the military to actually be able to fight, only provoking further hostility from the population
>even the anime is getting noticeably worse
Japan's time in the international spotlight has come and gone.

Honda Accord, most reliable car in the world
Hey, I need some help with a possible project.
There's this '69 Kaiser-Jeep J3000 for sale for 1500 CAD, but it has a few problems.
>No radiator
>No seat
>No tailgate
>No grille
>Both sides of box rusted through
>Impossible to find parts
I refuse to give up on it, it is one hell of a cool looking truck.
Is it compatible with parts from any other Jeep models? If not I imagine I could just put in a Flex-a-lite rad and find some other similar sized bench seat for it, but what am I supposed to do about the tailgate, grille, and box?
Any help would be appreciated.
>>16117411
Flat bed it.
But before that assume everything is bad, the frame is rusted through, the engine is trashed, the gas tank gone, trans blown to bits. If you still want to $ave it go for it. If not, find a running J10 or J20 and snag the Kaiser grille for it.
>>16117411
FWIW Jeep didn't change the body on these old things for 10+ years, that might help with parts location. There was an episode of Trucks where Stacy David took a late 70s wagoneer and put one of those old kaiser grille/headlight setups in it and it bolted right in.
>>16117818
Guy says he doesn't know if it runs. He never tried to start it because of the radiator. I imagine he could start it and run it for 30 seconds with no harm though, to prove it runs.
>>16117864
So box and tailgate can come from any other Jeep pickup around that time?
If that's true, that's immensely helpful.
>gets Subaru to build their new AE86
>gets BMW to build their new Supra
What does it say about moder Toyota that they can't even be bothered to make sequels to their own legendary sports cars?
