what's so special about this 7/11-nigger?
Hey /o/, I've been lurking for about 8 years as anon (since college). I come and go, don't spend a TON of time on here. Figured I would see if anyone had any questions. I co-own Houston Z Auto. My partner is the mechanical brains and I am the business side (with some mechanical knowledge). Feel free to ask me anything about starting a performance shop. We currently specialize in all Nissan/Infiniti, but work on lifted trucks, normal cars, porsche, BMW, pretty much whatever. We also have built many high hp cars. We have a race car that is about 830whp on baby tune and it weighs about 2,600 lbs. We build tons of customers cars with high HP. We have a few shop cars that hit 500-700whp that have full interiors, ac etc. also. Ask me anything and if not, pic thread!
Our old drift car. It's been parted out now
Are you the guys on Fallbrook? I go by all the time on my way to the track. A buddy I stay with lives right there on Gessner

keeps traffic moving. left turns hold up traffic and michigan lefts dont.
>>16205038
A roundabout would solve that shit.
That looks like a clusterfuck.
>>16205055
>>That looks like a clusterfuck.
it's not, you just lack common sense. you drive past your intersection, make a u-turn through the turnaround, and then turn right. traffic is never held up because it only ever waits to stop and go--there are no left turn lights to halt traffic.
you cannot have a roundabout at every single intersection, but you can have a divider and as many michigan lefts as you want on major roads.
these are typically 2-3 lane roads on either side that run through the heart of the entire detroit metro area, not small sidestreets.

Do bright red cars look better with a black interior or a beige interior?
>>16204421
Black provides a better contrast in color.
>>16204421
Black always, Biege in red is atrocious.
>>16205049
is beige ever not horrid ?
I want to get an early 70s muscle car that isn't gonna burn a hole through my wallet. Pic related is what I was thinking. Recommend me some classic muscle cars, /o/.

Pick one.

That isn't going to be cheap. Try picking one that boomers don't charge an arm and a leg for.

Just get a Javelin and work on making it reliable, then fast.

Your teenage daughter/son is asking you to buy her/him a car.
You as a responsible dad, what would you buy them?
Civic for 3k
>>16186737
Depends on what they want.
I'd probably give them a budget of 5k or $150/mo if they want to buy new, but they have to come up with the down payment.
>2016
>even "luxury" brands still putting halogen headlamps on $40K+ cars
>$1K-2K to get anything better
>almost every single halogen system given the worst possible rating for safety on 2016 cars with halogens equipped
>even many xenon systems given 5/10 ratings on safety, visibility, etc
>2016
>when asked for comment, car manufacturers (such as BMW, Ford, etc) merely said "Safety continues to be our highest priority when designing our vehicles."
>2016
Why is this shit acceptable? Do people even know what it's like to drive an adaptive LED equipped car? Have we just gotten used to driving by candle-light that we don't care? Many people, when asked about the poor ratings the IIHS gave their cars, said they didn't care, even though they frequently cannot see beyond 30ft of their bumper.
>IIHS
>not comprehensively cucked
HID and LED setups cost more than halogens, which would increase car prices if they were standard. Not everyone wants or needs them.
>>16204699
>which would increase car prices if they were standard
Marginally. Some of the cars with the best ratings were among the cheapest. Luxury brands like Acura, BMW, Audi, Benz have insane markup simply because the design is "new". Every Japanese automaker has shitty option control. You can't get LEDs on a DX Civic, you absolutely have to get the Touring, even if you don't car about that shit or want to spend 30K on a civic.
>>16204673
Where do you live? Even the cheapest Kia's and Hyundai's here have HID's/LED's. Only fleet trucks are rocking halogens in projectors.
Ah.. feels good to be a rich fag in america. U mirin my new dd? My dick IS small btw. ;^]
