>Jeremy Clarkson says the M2 is the best M car BMW has ever made
>take it around their shitty track in the middle of nowhere
>ends up about a second slower than the M4 and M6
>>"HAHAHAHA WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DRIVE THE SLOWEST BMW LMAO M2 FAGGOTS ON SUICIDE WATCH"
You think he'd understand the meaninglessness of benchracing.
richard is alphony
Of course he does, but this was about spiting Clarkson.
>>16199162
>slower on the track = benchracing
LOL that's not what bench racing means. But Hammond is gay because track times aren't the end all be all to a car.
Lets say you had a vehicle that was worth around 1400 bucks on your local market. A retired mechanic friend offers you 1800 bucks, on the condition that you use at least 1000 of that money to buy off some of his old tools.
Assuming the mechanic has nearly every imaginable piece of equipment: What tools would you get /o/?
Air compressor if he has it. Or a cutting torch (basically oxyacetylene). You need one or both if you live in a salt state. Use any money left to buy impact sockets and any old Dewalt drills or other older power tools. They made them quality then and not for bottom dollar now
>>16198885
I'd tell him to fuck off since he's basically getting the car with a $600 discount.
>>16198895
Good ideas for sure.
>old Dewalt drills
I assume you're talking about the ones made before battery packs? Any idea what year they started to go downhill?
>>16198914
Fair enough. In my situation I'd be buying more than 600 in tools anyway, so I might as well get a discount.
1994 with eBay bolt ons as a project car or nah? 400hp+ for sub 3.5k including car is hard to pass up. Just want to troll to wrx and mustang fuccbois on the road.
>>16198842

>>16198842
1994 accord I mean.
>>16198843
Car is stock they're asking 1.2k 150k miles, adult owned, one owner.
I always see these guys standing at the side of a road with these yellow camera looking things on a tripod. What are they doing and what is that thing they're using. I'm assuming it's for construction but whenever I see them use it there's no construction going on.
>>16198806
They're surveyors.
>Surveying or land surveying is the technique, profession, and science of determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them. A land surveying professional is called a land surveyor.
measuring the contours of the ground/whatever they're working on, checking that everything's level, stuff like that

is getting your vehicle undercoated worth it?
>>16198544
wash your car, and take care of it and we have no issues.
Do you mud? Is the factory undercoat gone? Do you live in a salt area?
>>16198544
If you offroad and/or live in a state that salts roads and/or live near the coast its worth it
Hello citizens of /o/.
My question is related to Wunderbaum (Little Trees). On their official website it shows they have both - Black Classic and Black Ice air fresheners. I live in Eastern Yurop and can find only Black Classic for sale. Is it just named for different regions - Ice for US and Classic for EU, or they really smell different?
You will never experience The Freshâ„¢
Eastern Yurop can't deal
>>16198566
>>16198581
Guys, but I really need to know. I might order some from Ebay. Are they really different?
was this ever a good thing?
Yes. If it lets the manufacturer sell you something awesome or avoid you having to pay a gas guzzler tax, it's a good thing. One resistor is a cheap price to pay. Just like bikemakers who give you standoff injectors that aren't activated, or uninstalled trunk kit parts on autocross cars.
>>16198408
>redline everywhere
My car just has a yellow upward facing arrow whenever it wants me to upshift. Sometimes it'll light up when I'm at 1.5k, other times when I'm at 4.5k. I usually just ignore it, but it's a nice feature to remind me if I zone out.
>>16198408
Was what a good thing? The car telling you when to shift?
You know you can just ignore it, yes?
Alright guy, getting a used car tomorrow and I planning on lowering the price and all that jazz.
What are some negotiating tricks you know
>>16198351
>it's modded
>has any form of defect cosmetically
>"oh it just needs a new _______"
be prepared to walk if they don't budge or it they're a I know what I got type
>>16198351
If it's modded in any way remind him that it's a well known fact in car modding circles that money spent in mods is money lost. Only an outstanding car with heaps of performance parts would get an above market price...and it still will be far away from being the sum of it's parts.
If he gets all acid when you try this just go like, "Well, that's how things work with tuners and hot rodders, bro...I can't believe you don't know that!"
>>16198729
>>16198686
The car is not modded in any way, except for the radio.
Bought a 96 dodge ram from a guy with a magnum 5.2. Said he put a head gaskets on it and replaced a cracked head showed me pictures of the valley and said he Diddnt see any cracks. I already had an engine for it, but for shit and giggles I wanted to see how bad it leaked so I pulled the thermostat housing and filled up the block but water came gushing out more like a hole than crack. I haven't done head gaskets on a dodge. will they go either direction? Or can you put them on backwards and fuck it up?
Truck runs great btw makes chocolate milkshakes though. Extra thick
>>16198346
Bump. No dodge guys? Sorry I'm pretty new here

I'm looking for a car that can
>Seat 4 comfortably
>200hp+
>Reach 125mph easily
>Rwd
>Manual
>Prefer sedan/coupe
There is a place by my house that is all undeveloped and has tons of roads where no one ever goes. My friends and I like to go drive around there sometimes and we've gotten bored with out current (painfully slow) cars. I'm looking for a new car anyway, and I want something that can be a relatively practical fun car.
What kind of cars fit this description? I don't care about reliability. So far I'm thinking
>330Ci/5
>540i/6
>RX-8
>IS300
Chevy SS
>>16198323
Bedford Rascal fits the criteria m8
>>16198328
That's so expensive, but yeah that's like exactly what I'm looking for.
Cars are for boys who rely on roads to tootle about.
Trucks are for men who don't need no roads to get shit done.
why did it take 16 years for cars to start looking modern? hate Ford but that looks pretty badass.
If there's one thing that's not manly, it's shouting "LOOK AT MY MASCULINITY".
>>16198263
I'm not. I'm just pointing out that the F150 has hyper-masculine looks. I just so happen to drive one.
