After the shit I went through looking for work recently, I'm not having kids, they'll have it way worse by the looks of things.

If I did wind up having one, I'd buy them a car. They're gonna' have to drive themselves to/from work somehow, and I'll be damned if I drive the little shit to school past age 16. My parents never bought me anything.
I got a job straight out of high school and bought a fixer upper e90 with 70k miles online for 6k after hardcore saving for a while.

I've since learned to do all the servicing myself, oil changes, replacing the damaged parts, learning to paint with a gun, had to replace the starter and water pump (which sucked lol.)

The point is, I've had to respect and take care of what I have because I had to earn it myself. That car now has ~130k miles and has brought me a lot of good memories.

My sister on the other hand has had 3 different cars bought for her, 2 of which she completely messed up and were constantly filled with garbage. She never learned to respect and value what she has because she never earned it herself.

So I strongly believe that no one should just be given something because they'll take it for granted, they have to prove they deserve it, or work hard and get it themselves
