So I keep seeing used Camaros for like 15 - 20k, is there something I'm missing? The temptation is building to buy one because I've only ever gotten to drive cuckcars: Malibu, a shitcivic, etc. I would love to have something that has more than 200hp. What are the cons of a camaro that I'm not seeing?

>Driving a Chevrolet
That's a big one
>>16745008
So literally no downside at all except my car will sometimes die in the middle of going 90mph because of a bad ignition switch? I could live with that for some straight-line go-slightly-fastish.
>>16744998
>something I'm missing
Probably.
Do any of you guys have experience with financing cars? I don't know if I don't understand it or I'm in shock because I can afford the payments.
I'll break it down.
>22k car
>Putting 5k Trade in as down
>17k Loan for 72 Mo. At 7% APR
>290/mo payment
I'm getting a 2009 C63 AMG
Is this ok? I'm doing it myself cause I have decent enough credit. I'm getting the loan through my credit union.
Do I go to the dealer take their deal and re finance, or just go with the bank loan straight up?
And does the loan cover the taxes or the trade in?
(I don't need opinions on the car, I've wanted one since I was 12 years old, I'm not buying 12 miatas)
>Inb4 Don't Buy a Car You Can't Afford
I apreciate any help
>7% APR
jesus christ. Most places right now are offering sub 4% APR.
>>16744951
I would be gotten 3% if I did 48 months. But I'd rather take the long term L in order to keep my monthly under 300.
>>16744959
Yeah, I'm looking to do a 72 month on a Scion FRS. I need to try and keep my payments sub 200. Trading in my car plus $1000 down.
Is the new Twingo any good?
>turning radius is insanely small
>5 doors, minivan properties near that of the 1st gen
>phone dock for nav, radio, phonecalls
>flexifuel?
>8000-13000€ (varies)
>cheap parts (?)
>made in Slovenia
>>16744917
If you are looking to buy a new car and the new twingo covers your needs, buy it.
>the poor man's 500
literally shit
>>16744922
This. If you like the Twingo and the new Twingo covers everything you need, then buy the Twingo. Simple as.
>>16745009
I thought the poor man's 500 was the Fiat 500...
Hey /o/, what are your opinions on the 2002 mustang? I know they are mentioned in the sticky but i was looking for some more in depth info.
>>16744507
They have crooked steering wheels
>>16744507
Shit car
Awful, and I mean awful interior
Awful rear live axle
Handles like complete ass in wet weather even for rwd
Slow
Heavy clutch
Good luck finding one that isn't rusting, it's a 15 year old car for fucks sake man, are you that poor?
>>16744507
It sounds cool. Everything else is a shit.
>when did you realize that women (of the 3dp variety)should only be used as sex objects and that cars and motorcycles are the only thing deserving of your love, money, and affection?
>>16744141
Last year, actually. Feels good. Women only leech on you.
your car > whores
>>16744141
Subaru is a cheap whore
>>16744147
ehh far from cheap, it will hold its value well and when i sell it in a couple months i shouldnt lose much money for my use of it. Its fast enough not to be slow, and fun to toss around corners, my biggest gripe is the stereo and infotainment system but thats kind of secondary
how fucking hard is it to make a cheap rwd manual sports coupe that doesn't have an anemic engine?
>>16744003
Its easy.
But that doesnt mean it will sell and be profitable
>>16744003
Add a turbo or engine swap. maybe you don't necessarily want to do that to a new car but for example that genesis... What if you bought a used one and swapped a rotary or turbo K20?
>>16744026
the v6 lambda engine in the genesis is more than good enough

I have $15-16k to spend on a new vehicle.
I currently drive a WRX but want something different. I'm your cliche PNW dude. I love doing outdoor activities, so I think an SUV would suit me best, but most of them give me family-hauler vibes. I want something that suits a young 20-something that loves to go hiking/camping.
I absolutley love FJ's, but finding one with decent mileage is outside my price range because they hold their resale value so ridiculously well. And I've heard newer Wranglers (or rather chrysler and jeep products in general) are trash.
What do?
>>16743704
If you don't mind an absolutely horrendous interior then go with the FJ.
Otherwise just get a Jeep like all the other IPA loving yuppies that are plaguing my homeland.
>>16743704
FJ is... Unusual car. Crazy narrow windshield, ugly interior and for it's basically for you and one passenger only. Backseats are pretty meh.
Also early FJ's suffer from front body integrity failure (not sure how to name this issue correctly), needs to be reinforced.
>>16743722
FJ being a 10/10 vehicle
Jeep being a 1/10
No one wants a jeep

>Just won this car for free at a mall raffle
What kind of tax obligations do you have if you win some shitbox in a mall raffle?
Long story short, I was driving and had to take a shit so I tried hanging my ass out the window while keeping my foot on the wheel and accidentally jerked the wheel with my foot and went in the ditch. So long as my insurance doesn't find out about that I should be ok right? I managed to get the shit out of the seat where it got in after crashing. So I can just say I was dodging a kangaroo or something and they won't question it, right?
>>16742985

I've had a 6.0L powerstroke, 7.3L Powerstroke and my last truck was a 6.7L cummins.
The Cummins had a ton of issues and the fuel economy, front end, and transmission sucked. I'm going back to powerstrokes since I know a lot about fords and like them.
Question is should I buy another 6.0L power stroke? looking for thoughts and opinions.
Thanks.
>should I buy another 6.0L power stroke?
Yeah, If you have market share in coolant and head gasket companies.
>>16742899
>should I buy another 6.0L power stroke?
>6.0L
This question should not even deserve a answer.
They are decent engines once you do the EGR delete and the upgraded oil cooler. The key is doing it early on before it starts causing trouble.
A lot of Ford fuccbois argue that head studs are mandatory, but in my experience they're only necessary if you're going to be tuning it well beyond stock power levels.
The 6.4 that succeeded the 6.0 was far, far worse imho.
And their marketing strategy?
Imo it's enough already with the Hellcats, but they still gonna milk it with the Fanboys
