You mean what did my Indian mechanic do when he told me he couldn't find the locknut, and when I said I don't know should I just get a new one, he responded with "nah bro I'll just chisel it off don't worry"
Be a young person in present day,
>buy a new car, something you think looks cool or just a good investment.
>pay it off and take really good care of it.
>wash it regularly, keep it in garage, make sure its regularly maintanenced
>decades down the line, you're an old person and still have your car and its in great shape
>Year 2056 and your driving around in your 2017 Whatever
Will you been seen as having an interesting classic car regardless of the make and model? I personally would like to be in that situation, being that old guy who is the only owner of a car and just kept damn good care of it so it would last. But I guess the big question is, whats a good car to invest in these days to have the long term future appeal?
On a side note, will cars made today even survive that long?
Anything with a V8 will be a classic. There's great possibility there will no longer be any made by 2030. I think cars will last that long. You have to take care of it like anything else.

Another anon posted a thread that reminded me that I had this as a WIP. Before you get pissed off that your brand isn't where it's supposed to be, help me find a more appropriate spot for it.
much better
We've been a board for like a decade, and we only now think to do this?
Brands like TATA and Ssangyong are the most common brands in their respective countries but are unheard of most countries outside of their own hence why they are in the "casual scum" category.
Please feel free to tell me where to move certain brands or to name a few brands I may have missed. I know that lot of the brands here deserve to be better than casual. I think I put them there because of their sheer popularity.
I'll use this name for now.
Post your favorite cars slammed dead on their nuts.

Man, I really do think that stanced and lowered cars look good, but it's all the other shit they do it that fucking ruins it. Like those retarded lips and spoilers and meme fender mods. Just keep it simple.

Spend 2k on whatever car your shit taste prefers and then spend the remaining 33k at a shop restoring it because you will never know how to turn a wrench yourself.
>>16748328
Pic related. And for 35k you can get a halfway decent one
>>16748328
305 horsepower out of the 4.6 v8. Can find with low miles for 10-12k, use the leftover cash on modifications (supercharger)

first for the Beta is gone
Howdie partner, my name is Richard Hammond
I'm a 47 year old British Cowboy (that's a fan of Americana for you foreigners). I drive Camaros and Mustangs (SS and Shelby) on my authentic Route 66 drag strip
Each day I train with my airsoft Winchester repeating rifle. This superior weapon has been protected by the US Supreme Court over 1000 times and is a guaranteed freedom in America. I have applied for my British air rifle license, which I should be getting anytime now.
I speak American fluently, both Southern and New York dialects, and can write fluently as well. I know everything about American muscle cars, which I always use as my daily driver.
When I get my American visa, I plan on moving to Detroit to attend the prestigious Ford Clinic where I can learn about their magnificent car culture. I hope to become a test driver, or even help assemble a V8!
I own multiple NASCAR jackets, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to America, so I can fit in easier. I high five my elders and seniors, and speak Nashville dialect as often as I can but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
Wish me luck in America!

I just checked my oil and coolent today, and my temp gauge was where it always is. Any idea what could be up?
Looks like you're gonna need a new engine. I see this all the time at my shop.
>>16748276
have you oiled your brakes recently OP? You might want to dab a bit of 10w-30 on those rotors, if they're inadequately oiled it can sometimes cause a check engine light to pop on
>>16748297
This, happened to my 93 4runner
