I started shitposting on /lit/
>>8947020
I only recently started shitposting on /lit/. Do I just read Zarathustra straight away or are there other Nietzsche works that I should read before it.
I'll probably read them all eventually anyway.
Catch up day today!

Thanks for making the thread. I straight up forgot cause it was a catch up day. I'm now 7 chapters ahead of schedule which is nice.
Danglars getting death by a thousand cuts is so satisfying
>mfw someone only has a 3rd class fortune
>>8946957
I gotta update this now. I thought Danglars and Debray were in it together. Didn't realise he was just tipping off his mistriss who then informed the Baron.
This is literally everyone on /lit/:
>le you're a faggot and wrong for having a different opinion than me, and the way I perceive things is the only right way

Can't handle the redpill, numale cuck?
Maybe Reddit is more you're speed
>>8946914
>redpill
Sorry, but I'm not a woman-hating virgin.
>>8946920
Hehe you'll be a frogposting woman hating racist when you grow up, kiddo. When you mature intellectually. For now, this is beyond your level. Kindly fuck off if your sensibilities can't handle non-PC opinions (facts)

ITT: Good reads for future military leaders.
>>8946867
Bump
Military leaders don't read.
Clausewitz (On War), Grotius (Just War), Thucycides (Peloponesian War), Xenophon (Anabasis), Machiavelli (The Prince), Baden Powell (Scouting for Boys)
probs not in that order
I'm NEET and my days blur by... what can I expect if I sign up for some literature/ philosophy classes at my local community college
>>8946850
A little bit of much-needed structure, I imagine.
>>8946870
>much-needed structure
>from community college
You clearly don't know anything about the mess. OP, CC is like high school, pt. 2. The student body ranges from stupid to lazy and the teachers are barely educated in the subject.
Don't waste your time nor money. Get a job worth having, instead.
>>8946898
Sounds like OP has absolutely zero structure, though, so it would provide... a bit.
>you walk into an artsy cafe and this Voice Of Your Generation (David Fishkind) asks you to remind him what it feels like to be unpublished
What do you say /lit/?
i punch him in the dick
He asks loudly btw
>>8946717
*blocks your punch and twists your wrist until you beg him to stop*
What now?
>tfw smoked enough weed that i can't write well anymore
Will it ever come back? I've never been an expert but i used to be able to at least put together a decent sentence.
>>8946661
You sound like a pessimistic pussy anon
It's far more likely that you never wrote well in the first place and merely came to terms with your own lack of ability.
>>8946661
1) Write a book about how Weed ruined your life.
2) Get tons of hate mail from liberals.
3) ???
4) Finally end it, redpilling some in the process.
Horror general?
Just finished The Ritual by Adam Nevill. Found the concept quite cliché and tired, but the execution in terms of pacing and action brilliant. Characterisation wasn't bad either. Overall a very very enjoyable read.
>>8946619
how was the atmosphere?
>>8947756
Very good for a cliché innawoods story. A realistic and immersive execution of the Swedish forestlands.
>>8946619
I don't understand how people can get scared reading books. I'm not saying this to criticize you guys. On the contrary, I want to learn from you. Can you teach me something that will make me get scared from books?
According to you, what's the most unlikely, unimaginable thing that could happen right now?
>>8946614

After Trump, nothing is impossible. Nothing is unimaginable.
If he could become president, then you can, very much so, get laid.
How much time do you guys try to allocate to reading each day? Former /v/tard trying to spend less time playing games and more time reading books.
I try to limit myself to 3 or 4 hours or else I won't get anything done.
usually an hour before bed / however long it takes until I feel sleepy
>>8946605
An hour or two usually unless I'm on break. If i'm really busy, I try to read for half an hour at the very least.
Nessus is in Alexandria. Ultan's Library is a representation of the library of Alexandria. The Gyoll is the shrunken Mediterranean after Europe and North Africa have been pushed together with plate tectonics.
>Prove me wrong lit
>>8946595
we wuz astronauts n shit
>>8946620
What do niggers have to do with this?
>>8946595
I'm certain that Nessus is south of the equator. As Severian travels north toward Thrax the temperature rises.
What do I look out for in pic related in terms of symbolism and satire?
>tfw you just read books and don't 'look out for symbolism and satire'
Feels pretty neutral tbph
I'm not so sure but I'm pretty sure he satires a lot of trends in the 60s(?) like hallucinogenics and Beatles rip offs, you'll probably find more if you know a lot about that time period. I don't so I just enjoyed the book because it's a great representation of paranoia and very interesting
>>8946586
trystero = illuminati
get that and you're good to go
Google Project Paperclip and MK-Ultra to understand Dr. Hilarius and the drug experiments he does with patients. I don't know how the fuck Pynchon knew about it in the 60s but he knew.
Why didn't he just kick his dad's ass?
>>8946546
that's what i did!
>>8946546
He was submissive because he had a domineering dad.
>>8946546
His Cockroach-Transformation-no-Jitsu lacked the power.
Can anyone provide me with a rebuttal of the Sartrian perspective on freedom and meaning?
I feel as though it is the only correct approach to Nihilism and the death of God, I subscribe to it both consciously and unconsciously, and thus I feel it is imperative that I challenge it and thus challenge myself.
>>8946504
Pseud, the thread. Did you even read Sartre? How did you come to this conclusion?
>>8946504
the rebuttal is easy: stop being an edgy teenager. nobody takes existentialism seriously in real life
>>8946504
The man in your pic related looks like he's cozy 24/7, and i respect that. I hope one day to rise to his level of coziness
