Anyone into carpentry?
I want pic related

that looks incredibly easy to make.

Why the bolt on the vertical next to the receiver?
>>27943771
I would assume to sort of lock the gun in place better.
Would the Nazis ever have been able to subjugate the United States ala Wolfenstein or The Man in the High Castle?
>>27943650
lolno
>>27943650
No way would the Nazis ever be able to successfully land on American soil. So, no.
m8 they couldn't even launch an amphibious invasion of the UK, how the fuck are they supposed to cross a giant ocean with their puny surface fleet?
I mean I don't ask for any realism at all in stuff like Wolfenstein, but it was never going to happen.
Anyone out there have a sig p938? Like the ergonomics? Trigger? I love my p226 but its kinda big for my kids to shoot, thought this might be a better choice.
>>27943561
I don't have one, but I've felt one before. Feels pretty good for a single stack 9mm, its not too thin like most polymer pistols that size. I thought the trigger was a little heavy for a single action gun like that.
>>27943561
Too much recoil for kids. It stings my hands after a few rounds..

I want to get a rifle from my ancestorial homeland Scandinavian. I know of finish mosins, but what other options do I have?
Swedish mausers of all varieties.
>>27943406
Sweden made the Gevär m/96 which shoots the very flat trajectory 6.5x55mm. Or, if you're patient enough to look around, the Ljungman Ag m/42

Daw, that's what I like to hear. Is it taboo if I carve +VLFBEHRT+ into the stock?
Can we get an Armslist rage thread going? I just got off the phone with an old fuckface who jerked me around for 15 minutes with an endless stream of bullshit.
>be me
>selling Colt 1903 with 95% of the original finish, some blemishes, but overall much nicer than your run of the mill used model N
>asking $800, will probably settle for $650-700 range
>get call from guy early in the morning, I miss it so he leaves a message
>Hi, I'm calling about your thirty two. My name is Joe Blow and my number is 555... That's Joe Blow. Calling about the thirty two. My number is 555... Joe Blow. And I'm calling about your thirty two.
>repeats still a few more times
>groan, think I should really know better, but call him back anyway
>first thing out of his mouth is "what's yer bottom line price?"
>tell him I'm not a pawn shop, and would prefer him to make me an offer, which I may counter-offer
>he says "I got a perfect condition nickel 1903 a few weeks back for only $450 - no blemishes at all"
>ask him if it was the original finish, since aftermarket nickel plating ruins the value
>"oh yeah, definitely all original, yep sure."
>"the stainless and nickel models are more expensive because they can't rust from sweat and salts from your body when carrying it"
>wat.jpg
>"you can't even get nickel plated firearms anymore because it's poisonous"
>wat.jpg
>"if your gun had only been in .380, you know that's called 9mm short, I might be more interested in it. thirty two costs durn near $50 a box"
>cut him off and tell him that I can get .32 online for $12 a box
>he just keeps droning on and on
>"I have a concealed carry permit"
>"I've got top security clearance from the government"
>"I can't even count how many firearms I have"
>this whole time he hasn't made an offer or even asked for me to email him larger photos
>finally just tell him that I'm not selling the gun for $450 and I had to go, bye
>click
15 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
So, how was your week, /k/?
>>27943277
Went to a chick's house during the week. Looked hot on Tinder, sent good photos over the mobile. Turned out she was 50kg's heavier than expected and her photos were many years earlier than her current state.
Every. Fucking. Time.
What has /k/ acquired recently? I just picked up pic related today.
>>27943132
That color frame bugs me so much. It looks too much like a toy, like they use the same plastic as a GI Joe something.
I just got pic related, surefire XC1 for my daily carry G19.

Why did the sword become the universal symbol for warfare, martial prowess, chivalry, and state power? It's really not that useful of a weapon compared to other ancient weapons such as spears, axes, and of course ranged weapons like bow/arrow.
my uneducated guess is that it took training and skill to become competent and even more to become good and many of the people back then didn't have money nor training to get skilled in their use, just give them a mace or spear.
Also perhaps the craftsmanship that went into some of them, swords weren't exactly the cheapest weapon around in their time.
>>27942919
it's one of the few a tools specifically designed to be used in combat, other added uses like hunting are minimal compared to a spear or bow.
And it's easy to carry, while still being fairly effective...

>Why did the sword become the universal symbol for warfare, martial prowess, chivalry, and state power? It's really not that useful of a weapon compared to other ancient weapons such as spears, axes, and of course ranged weapons like bow/arrow.
Because they're a bad ass, cool weapon. I'm sure people back then thought along the same lines just like people do now. Plus because they're more expensive and more difficult to master, the people who wielded them tended to be knights and nobility which gave them a certain prestige with ownership.
Plus being made almost entirely out of metal made them family heirloom-tier items, whereas a spear probably isn't going to be passed down for many generations or otherwise be noted as something of tremendous value.
Also the fact you can carry around a sword in a sheath makes it a very convenient weapon for carrying around regularly.
Post the most recent guns you picked up.
Usually I'm posting about the most recent military firearm I purchased, but this time it's a little different. I just picked up this shotgun at my local gun store. Been looking for a nice side by side hammer gun for a while and this fit the bill.
Best thing is that it's a Colt. It's in rather good condition, and picked it up for about half of what it's actually worth.

This followed me home today.

So my fellow kommandos.
Lets say that your group has been rounded up and your unarmed....you need to neutralize the kebabs WITHOUT civillian loss of life.....clocks ticking....
Lets see if /k/ can hamdle it
I can't.

are revolvers alright for HD?
evrn if not what wheelgun should i buy/ wpuld be worth yhe investment
>>27942707
I'm going with Ruger GP100. Tough as hell, decent trigger, etc.
Anyone who cares will be in here soon to argue about whatever year s&w they found and fap to the thought of funding a deal on a Python.
But the answer is GP 100.
>>27942707
A gun is only as good as its user. If you do well with a revolver, go for it.
Mr73 would be a good investment, unless those Frenchies sell us all of their old surplus.
(Pls do France)
>>27942761
GP100 is a great gun and a great value.
It would not be a mistake to buy one but S&W are better.
>>27942707
>are revolvers alright for HD?
Yeah, but the limitations are generally the capacity and you also want to consider over penetration and penetration through walls, particularly for home defense. Do you live with people, in an apartment? Choosing a magnum round with a heavy load can cause concern.
Capacity and size aren't as big an issue. Also, I tend not to leave guns stored in a car or house while chambered because of the potential for fires. In the state of Tennessee, where I do not live, I believe the rule for keeping a gun in your car is only that it can't be chambered for that reason. I don't want to accidentally cause the death of a fireman. With a semi-auto you can just rack the slide. With a revolver you can just leave a chamber empty but then the capacity is even less. It also fucks with OCD tendencies.
Are you worried about leaving the gun loaded because of springs? They don't wear out that way, don't worry about it.
Finally, there are less revolvers with rails should you decide you want a light.
So if you want to get a wheel gun for home defense that's fine. I would recommend a larger .357 with a 6" barrel and load it with high velocity low grain weight hollow points. That will maximize tissue damage while minimizing how many walls it continues to sail through. S&W are fantastic but expensive, Ruger is rock solid and a lot cheaper. The reason I suggest a 6" barrel are as follow:
>prettier (subjective)
>Less bang and flash which is a huge deal if you shoot your gun in a hallway without ear protection.
>Better recoil management.
Personally, I think pic related is the ideal home defense gun.
Looking at bullpup rifles for hunting white tail.
Been eyeing the Keltec RFB because it is chambered in 7.62 NATO. I have had a Keltec P32 before and it did good at the range for a compact handgun, so Keltec is OK in my book. Any opinions?
Generally looking for a bullpup rifle for hunting white tail deer, maybe even wild boar if they make it this far.
Also, always had a soft spot for the AUG.
RFB is a shit, wont fire anything and have heard all sorts if problems with the brass extraction because it goes alongside the barrel for some reason.
>>27942658
The rfb is bad as a bullpup and atrocious as a rifle. I dont know what bullpups arr available in 7.62 but dont get the rfb.
>inb4 get the m90
>>27942676
The early ones had some QC issues, but the later runs worked it out
I was looking for a scope which lead me to

What other /k related companies have this type of warranty?
Leupold are even better. You can intentionally destroy it and they will fix or replace free of charge no questions asked.
Hi Point does the same.
Nikon just recently upgraded their warranty to match Leupold's 'no questions asked' policy.
Any one know abou weaver scopes?
Practical or pure aesthetic?
>>27942414
There is already a knife thread you massive faggot. Try checking the catalog next time.
>>27942414
Considering the Finns have been using that style knife for around a millennia, its a practical design. Not so much in the US where everyone batons the fuck out of their knives and use tips as pry bars.
Pretty good.
