No, because I don't have the ewuipment to fabricate my own ceramic plates, nor do I have the time or skill to sew a worthwhile carrier.

I know right in facts I was searching some premade set, though looks like there isn't much choice.

>>27946281
but would that help to prevent injuries from splinters or stuff like that? even the one in pic probably won't be enough since it's just thin aluminium plates, I wish there was something in steel instead.

Threat to correct some of the ignorance you see on this board. Post something that people commonly get wrong or are unaware of.

Pic related. These are not fake/drill or airsoft pistols. They fire 9mm simulation (plastic tips with paint) rounds and are used for CQB training. I've seen plenty of people asking why the troops are using blue pistols and offering completely wrong explanations. You also get replacement bolts that allow rifles to fire 5.56 sim rounds with no other modifications to the rifle.

Glocks and ARs are terrible weapons. US military and police always seem to pick the worst option when it comes to weapons and gear. They picked baby blue karate pajamas as a uniform ffs... Weapons and vehicles made domestically suck and we make terrible decisions.
>>
>>27946256
why are they terrible weapons?
they seem to be pretty accurate and reliable to me, if a little bland.

Short answer, no.
Get your licence and get a real one, it will be cheaper and you'll be able to have ammo as well.

Hello /k/ I've been interested in survivalism for a long time and I think you are the right guys to talk to so here's my question if I was going to have all the things I needed for long term survival in a backpack what would those things be? My prerequisites for the kit is 1. It helps me survive for weeks or even months 2.it helps me fend of violent scavengers/bandits/militias 3.all equipment for the kit should be easily obtainable and should be easily affordable on a minimum wage salary 4.it can NOT contain a firearm (in my country they are strictly prohibited and I'm not taking the risk of buying one illegally) there you go what do you think /k/

You're not going to survive for months out of a backpack.

I've had a backpack that I've lived out of (and fought out of) and I needed a resupply of food at the end of every four days and a resupply of ammunition after every firefight. The idea of subsisting as some kind of combat nomad is just a romanticised pipe dream for Red Dawn fans.
>>
>>27946197
Ok then what about simply surviving for a few days at a time then heading into town real every few days resupplying and then head back out?
>>
>>27946211
I'd say resupplying from what

Hey! There's this really great YouTube channel called forgotten weapons. As the name implies, it's all about forgotten and rare weapons. It's run by a dude named Ian. We've actually helped him out quite a bit here at /k/. You should check him out.

To anyone who's in favor of women on the combat field, I want you to role play in your mind for a minute and imagine the following scenario:

You are a six foot tall man who's comprised of 250 pounds of pure muscle. You're riding through enemy territory, when the worst case scenario happens. Your convoy is attacked. You're completely decimated. In the attack, you get shot in the leg. You can't walk. There is one other survivor who's with you: One of the drivers. The driver now has the task of carrying you, on foot, fifteen miles through enemy territory back behind friendly lines.

Which would you rather have as the driver: A 5'3" 125 pound woman, or a 5'10" 200 pound man? Do you believe that the 5'3" woman is capable of getting you, this man who is almost a foot taller than her, has a much bulkier build, and is twice her weight, to safety?

ANY job that takes you to the battlefield has potential to wind up like this. It doesn't matter if you're a driver, a pilot, or the person who sits behind the mounted gun on the vehicle. Your strength and athleticism can be called upon at any time. There are no safe jobs. And this is strictly the physical aspect. It says nothing about the psychological impact that it has the male soldiers, which can get people killed just readily.

Any "buts" that you try to give to the various problems that come up as a result of women on the field are a claim that your dreams are more important than their lives. "That's not it!", you say. Yeah, that's not it... it's just that your dreams are so important that when given the choice between your dreams and their lives, we should pretend that there are no issues with the latter, no matter what evidence points to the contrary! In other words, that IS it, and you just don't like the sound of having blood on your hands.

Between their physical build and their biological relationship with men, women just aren't cut out for the battlefield.

I agree but I would rather have a 5'3'' 130 pound woman with a steady hand oparate on a bullet wound than a 6' 250 pund dude so more of a medical role in a FOB would be best
>>
The irony is that in your fantasy a lot of men wouldn't be able to carry that person back either, you it doesn't work to represent a failing.
>>
Don't think it really matters, because there are plenty of manlets and lanklets in the military who are plenty strong, male or otherwise, but nobody is going to drag 250 pounds of person through 15 miles of enemy territory

You're a fag and this thread is stupid

Still shouldn't be women on the front lines IMO

However to play the doubles advocate since this thread is cancer, if you are 6'3" 250lb would you rather carry a 5'10" 200lb wounded man or 5'3" 120lb wounded female

Looking at bullpup rifles for hunting white tail.

Been eyeing the Keltec RFB because it is chambered in 7.62 NATO. I have had a Keltec P32 before and it did good at the range for a compact handgun, so Keltec is OK in my book. Any opinions?

Generally looking for a bullpup rifle for hunting white tail deer, maybe even wild boar if they make it this far.

Also, always had a soft spot for the AUG.

I'm just missing one part. H&R used to make handi rifle barrels but for some reason they stopped. Does anyone know where I can get a .357 magnum barrel that isn't too expensive?

But as far as this goes I wanted to take a very affordable robust weapon that
>was affordable
>was easy to conceal in a bag
>was light
>and was able to take different types of game easily.

I settled on the 12 gauge because, heavy ammunition aside, it can take literally every species on earth and is so common even the most gun banning countries will allow it, usually.

I picked this H&R topper model up from a pawn shop for 65 dollars. It originally came with a 28in barrel but I cut it down to 18. It didn't have a butt plate so the store gave me the pad for free.

Inside the stock I have put:
> a leatherman squirt multitool
>a Gerber knife
>fishing kit
>(1) 12 gauge 3in steel shot Turkey load
>50lb test fishing line (10 yards)
>20 storm matches
>Flint (I drilled out the top plate screw to accommodate the Flint bar)
>3 pennies (for removing handguard, fishing bait)

I have (2) slugs, (2) 3in buckshot, and (1) #4 buck in the homemade side saddle.

I maybe spent 120 dollars on this and I feel it's probably the best hiking gun you can get. I'm trying to get a .357 barrel so I can more easily pair it with my colt SAA copy.

Is it plausible for there to be super soldiers or government trained assassins who are capable of completing overseas missions in small teams or on their own? I've read stories on spies and alleged CIA hits, but is there any proof or at least decent evidence that suggests their existence? I'm talking like a Jason Bourne or Sam Fisher type. A man who just has incredible skills. No James Bond super human nonsense.

Any californians here ever try to get a conceal carry permit? I am curious about getting one. I searched online and the steps to acquiring one don't seem so bad. I was thinking maybe my age will make it difficult to get one? I am going to be 24 soon and feel like the younger you are the less likely they will give one to you.

>>
Didn't California recently pass a law stating that concealed carry is a misdemeanor?
>>
Really depends on what county you live in. LA or SF are basically impossible, as are most nearby counties. If you are in the middle of nowhere it will be easier.
>>
California is shall issue bitch. Keep up with the news. Just make sure you can afford it.
