How much ammo [per caliber] is enough?
How much ammo makes you a dirty hoarder?

It only makes you a dickish hoarder if you're snapping thousands of rounds all up at 1am from stores during a panic with no intent to actually shoot it.
During normal times (now is relatively stable in the market), eh, buying shit ain't hoarding.
Can we still win this /k/?

What does victory even look like?
The entire Middle East is a mess. It's going to take centuries for its inhabitants to sort themselves out. Too many languages. Too many ethnic groups. Too many religions and religious sects. Too much poverty. Too little education. Too little infrastructure. Too much instability.
If I could wave a magic wand to fix it, I would.
But it ain't gonna happen.
What's/K/s reason for hating CTD? I must of missed something so I'm genuinely curious.

They marked ammo prices way the fuck up after Sandy Hook, and a lot of people were pretty pissed, and hold grudges.
>>27947892
Shamelessly immediately price gouging right after Sandy Hook. They also canceled placed, but not yet shipped orders of items in order to put them back in the store at new, higher prices. The also removed selling firearms from their store right after Sandy Hook and put out some pussy ass statement about "being socially responsible".
Before that, they were also known for adding lots of hidden shipping and handling fees onto their stated prices and jerking people around.
Basically, shit. And other sites have comparable or sometimes better prices without the BS.

Take all the guns you bought more than a year ago and put them in a cache, willfully turn over all recent purchases.

Guns don't exist. Not since the great boating accident of '15. Every single civilian owned firearm was lost. Shame.
Has anyone here worked as a corrections officer in a military prison? Are the unspoken rules the same as a normal max security prison. Aryan nation and all that?
Child sex offenders make up the largest category of inmates in U.S. military prisons, yet a full accounting of their crimes and how much time they’re actually locked up is shielded by an opaque system of justice.
THAT VIRGINITY WASNT HERS TO LOSE!
Of the 1,233 inmates confined in the military’s prison network, 61 percent were convicted of sex crimes, according to the latest available data, obtained through the federal open records law. Children were the victims in over half of those cases.
Since the beginning of this year, service members victimized children in 133 out of 301 sex crime convictions, with charges ranging from rape to distributing child pornography.

Is 5.45x39 worth getting into? I have four rifles in 7.62x39 but I kind of want to get a couple AK-74s.
Is it worth the initial investment of a more expensive firearm (Arsenal SRL-106) and more expensive mags and less common ammo? I would one day like to make an AKS-74U SBR clone, but with the new SLR-107UR I could make a krink in a caliber that I'm already established in.
I've got the itch and I don't know whats going to scratch it

Do you want a rifle that hits like a 7.62x39 but flies like a 5.56? No? Then don't bother.
>>27947716
>Is 5.45x39 worth getting into?
Absolutely. It's just too late to get into the 10-11c/r surplus ammo. 545 surplus & 60grain commercial is a pretty wicked round when it hits something, but if you've been using golden tiger 762, you already know what that yawing is all about.
As far as guns go, not much looks cooler than a 545 krink IMO, but the full length rifles is the better way to go first. It's maybe not as hip with the kids, but it's going to serve you better as a rifle.
If you aren't a total idiot, child conscript, or low IQ mudrace, there is no advantage to the AK-47 over the AR-15. The only thing the AK has over the AR is reliability, which doesn't matter if you take care of your weapon.

I mean unless you are talking about 7.62x39. The ability to defeat cover is pretty nice.
>>27947544
It's somewhat hard to argue with that statement if we were to get past the fact that this is a troll thread.
I guess the response is that production cost and reliability are significant factors.
Keep in mind that PJs roll with AKMs in Afghan for dat caliber.

Only you know yourself and if you will do bad things to other people with guns (notice how it's you doing bad things-- if you're bipolar and shoot your wife you would have probably stabbed her anyway)
Anyway back to the point-- if you have doubts about your mental health and want guns, or want to keep them-- talk to a counselor, a psychologist/therapist, or your pastor (they'll even do it for free)
Do not go to a a Psychiatrist who isn't going to try and cure you, but instead "diagnose" and "treat" you-- at least in America the prevailing attitude about mental health is damaged goods with no coming back-- unless it's meds you want-- if that's the case say goodbye to your guns or never even be able to say hello to them
There are things in life more important than your guns, but just be aware there can be significant consequences for being adjudicated as mentally defective. Only you know yourself as well as you. Just be careful.
What kind of optics do you guys prefer on your guns? Brand? Type? What do you like on what gun?
I'm thinking of getting the Vortex 3x prism scope for my 20" AR build (pic related). Seems to me like its basically a "poor mans ACOG" which suits my purposes well as I am a poorfag.
Anyone own it and have any complaints? Something else I should buy instead? I was also considering getting a Vortex Strikefire II with their 3x flip-up magnifier.
I used to have a Primary Arms 3x similar to that scope. It worked fine and the glass was pretty good but I didn't think the weight was worth it with the magnification and limited FOV. I'd rather have iron sights and save up for an ACOG or decent variable optic like Vortex PST 2.5-10x32.
>>27947515

Noob here. I think the problem is: Turning head, and THEN pointing the rifle looks strange to me. However I have zero training. But from vidya and Hollywood, it seems common practice to move your gun fluently with you, wherever you're looking, you're pointing at. Guy has bad follow through.
What started the whole aggressive corrections? It doesn't bother me when it's called a clip. Like most of you, I grew up around guns, shooting at local clubs, family, and friends with military or LE backgrounds and a lot misused the term and it's never been an issue, in fact it's not even mentioned. You don't see car guys bashing others for similar term mix-ups...
Did it start when guns in video games became more popular? Clip, Mag, doesn't make a fucking difference.
>Clip, Mag, doesn't make a fucking difference.
I'll let it slide when someone refers to it in passing, but once someone starts talking in-depth about guns, or when a fucking video game oper8r whose job it is to shoot guns yells "clip", then I start to take issue.

Going to the gun show today to buy my first handgun. Im leaning towards the civic of guns (g19 gen 4) but considering a Canik TP9 ive used my buddies and for 350 thats hard to beat.
Any suggestions?
>>27947351
Get the canik, I've shot a few of the tp9s and they are a lot of gun for the money, sold my glock 19 because it was a steaming pile of shit
>>27947351
Glocks are good starting guns. Lots and lots of room for customizing as you get more practiced. Make sure your trigger discipline is on point though because you WILL negligently discharge it otherwise.
The most important thing is to do your own research. Any gun you like the looks of, be sure to at least hold it in your hand before buying. Comfort is important, you want to buy a pistol that fits you. See what magazines cost and how available they are. Read up on peoples' experiences with the gun, but take them with a grain of salt. Unless a pistol catastrophically malfunctions or otherwise breaks during the first few magazines, I don't feeoan opinion formed before a few hundred rounds through a gun is going to be a very educated one. Getting used to how different pistols shoot until they feel like an extension of the body takes lots of range time. Even then, some guns will feel better for others because everyone is different.
And just something I've learned as a poorfag- never consider price as a main selling point of a gun you're going to take seriously. I'm skeptical about most pistols below ~$400, they often seem like a gamble. You COULD get an amazing underrated piece, or maybe that guy praising his cheap knockoff as underrated hasn't fired more than a magazine through it. Good guns tend to speak for themselves.
The point is, guns are meant to last. Unless you store your pistol in a bucket of salt water, you're still going to have it 30-40 years from now. It's worth saving for a renown brand, you'll never regret it (unless you can't actually afford it, of course).
>>27947385
>Sold my Glock 19 because it was a steaming pile of shit
Don't listen to this retard. Glocks are amazing pistols, but they aren't for everyone. Calling a Glock uncomfortable to hold is one thing, but calling it a steaming pile of shit is just wrong.
>I shot that gun a few times yeah, it's a great gun that I don't own. Fully recommend it for the money!
Probably dumb.
>>27947351
G19 all the way. You're not just buying a good gun, you're also buying a gun that ANY holster maker makes a holster for, tons of aftermarket accessories, magazines can be found at ANY gun store, ANY aftermarket sight makes a sight that will fit it, aftermarket triggers, slide stops, barrels, etc.
The canik is a joke compared to that. It might be a good gun on it's own, but good fucking luck if you actually want to carry or mod it.
Morning /k/. I recently moved to northwest Florida and there are pigs that need to die around here. What weapon would be ideal for them?
Now here the catch, I want something cheap because I'll need to keep it in the base armory (Chair Force) and in the case of some bored security forces cunt fucking I don't want my potential loss to be very big.
tldr; cheap gun for pigs.

Hi /k/,
I live in Paris. I don't want to stay inactive after the attacks of last week. I know how to shoot, but as you know it is illegal in France to carry a gun. I could buy one though, I know how to shoot. I would cost me an arm but anyways.
I am more interested in being able to deal with a wound caused by a bullet. Just in case Jawad&bro want to go on rampage again.
If you have any tips, books, video, experience to share, that will be much appreciated.
