USA and FIN should be better allies t.bh

Finland has the best memes. We need those resources on our side.
>>27938860
Why? What do the Finns bring to the plate?
>>27938872
Spurdo.
Newest acquisitions?
Favorite EDC knives?
Preferred sharpening methods?

Spyderco Caly 3.5 in ZDP-189 is my newest piece.
Thinned out the primary grind using a Norton Crystolon coarse.
Re-profiled the edge-bevel to ~7 degrees per side using s DMT XXC
Edge-bevel polished freehand using Sigma Power Select II stones to a 13,000 grit finish.
Micro-bevel using Spyderco F rods.
>>27938805
7 degrees??
I am assuming this is just a pocket razor and has been sharpened this way because you have the skills/tools to do it and not for any practical purpose?
From an EDC perspective it seems like a waste of steel and a sure fire way to chip your edge.
>>27938906
My EDC knives are typically used for food prep, cardboard breakdown and double layer clam-shell packaging.
I've never had any issues running my edge-bevels at ~7 degrees per side with a 15 degree per side micro-bevel. Besides that, technically it is thickness behind the edge that matters, not angles, and my knives are mostly around ~0.010" thick at 1/32" behind the edge.
Most modern production folders come with stock geometries that are designed around minimizing warranty claims from clueless users and looking "tough". I know people who run their *choppers* at 15 dps and ~0.025"-0.035" thick behind the edge, which is comparable to most production folders now.

Post what ISIS would need to pry from your cold dead hands once Obama's warriors has finally taken you down /k/.
They will not be able to attack me, for fear of getting pig or pig related things on them. I will be invincible.

This. Time to invest in some jihawg ammo /k/ommandos.
Is it ever acceptable to surrender? No /k/ommando myself, but seen some shit. Every time shit goes down I make the resolution to escape, failing that, fight or die. Just wondering.
Depends on who you're surrendering too.
If you die fighting, and if there is a Valhalla, atleast you'll end up there.
It depends on who you're fighting and the situation.
Tell me about private sales, /k/
citizen one gives citizen two money in exchange for services or goods.
>>27938346
this, pretty much like buying anything else other than some people probably being more concerned about having a bill of sale written up

Fuck off ATF, dumb nigger.

That's fucking it.
Where are the rest? Surely there are gun owners in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and all other countries around the world?
>>27938234
Many gun owners in other countries are keked into submission and couldn't possibly handle the very pro-gun narrative that exists on this board senpai.
Tbh most gun owners that aren't from the countries you listed are complete utter fudds.
>>27938234
There is some French Foreign Legion guy that pops up every so often. Some Finns too.
>>27938234
There's some tranny in scotland, a faggot swede who tries to bypass wordfilters, and some finnish snow elf who fucks trees.
I am looking for a gun that is affordable, effective, and durable for home protection. What do you guys recommend?
>>27938126
cheap shotgun or a pistol.
theres a lot of choices its really up to you.
i have an sks with a rifle grenade and a blank loaded for home defense
A rusty trombone
>>27938126
Hi-point .45
Iranian F-14's are escorting Russian bombers over Syria. Pretty wild to see a Tomcat protecting a bear.

>work is laying off a bunch of people me included
>I have an option to move from Los Angeles to either
>Oregon
>Arizona
In terms of states I should move to, I know AZ has great gun laws. However how bad is Oregon's gun laws? I've been reading up on it and its not that bad, good even however Oregon has a lot of bleeding hearts and is a swing state. Only reason I asked is I prefer the area I will be moving to in Oregon than the areas I will be moving to in AZ. The areas in AZ where I have to live is going to be hot/humid all fucking year and a fucking desert. The areas in OR is going to be sea side, not too cold and not too hot all year.
What specific city/town in OR? Native here.
Poor Oregon.
If you're Hispanic, or speak spanish, if you're over 50, if you hate rain, go to AZ
if you none of these apply, move to OR
>>27938035
Oregon here. Universal background checks, CC is shall-issue, and you can OC in any of our forests or on BLM land. I live in super liberal Portland and no one's ever given me shit about being a gun owner.
Anyone on here have any experience with this gun? The only negative I've heard about it is the earlier models were picky with ammo any some FTE. I think they've since corrected that.
>>27937931
Early production M9A1.
Came with old extractor that was shit, as such the gun sucked with FTE's and other malfunctions.
Got new extractor and plunger for free from Steyr
I get a few light primer strikes from time to time with cheap ammo. 1 or 2 in a box of 50 with any kind of steel case. 1 or 2 in every ~200 or so of S&B or Magtech. My guns detests American Eagle, wont extract worth a fuck. Never a problem feeding. Never a malfunction of any kind with defensive ammo or my buddys dad's handloaded plinking ammo. CCI primers in there, mixed brass loaded with cheapo bulk assorted 124gr hollow points and FMJ.
Dont fucking bother with WWB or UMC.
Holster selection sucks. Mags are ok priced. I like the sights, its too bad they dont make triangle tritium lamps.
Trigger pull is fine, reset is short enough, but not particularly tactile.
What else... idk.
Overall, I like it. I don't love it. First pistol purchase that I made in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend it, but I also wouldn't not recommend it if you catch my drift. Could be more reliable, but I have never had a problem in plenty of practice sessions with Gold Dots and HST's so I am not too worried about it.
I am planning on retiring mine to a range gun in place of a Glock 26 or Glock 43
>>27938027
I noticed your pic was a C9 after I posted...
So I suppose I don't have any experience with it. Pretty much Glock 19 vs 17 difference I would assume. I would have liked the C9 or S9, but based on my experience with the M9, I am not in a hurry to get either one. Still would like to have the whole 9 and 40 range at some point though, M-S-C-L.
>>27937931
I picked one up in 357 sig the other day. Put a bunch of rounds through it without any issues. They are built like tanks as far as polymer pistols go. The trigger is nice too. If you want one they can be had for under $500. Tough to go wrong. Plus you'll have a gun that a lot of others don't.
Fyi the newer or 4th "gen" guns have a roll pin under the rear sight. Speaking of sights, you'll either love 'em or hate 'em.
So i have a Front Sight Post and a MBUS rear sight as my sights on a home defense rifle.
This rifle is not used for anything else other than home defense.
I want to setup a fail-proof, no battery required sight for it that will allow me to use my MBUS through it in case of failure
what are you currently using for a "reflex" style sight?
Trijicon Acog is nice, but im not ready to drop $1200 on a $500 rifle that sits next to my bed most of it's life
>>27937910
Fuck off back to /fa/ you insufferable faggot.
I may be being daft but why do you need a reflex sight on a home defence setup?
Surely the range you may have to engage an intruder at would be good enough with the MBUS?
>>27937910
An ACOG wouldn't allow you to use your irons. Their SRS would though.
Thoughts?
>>27937886
If you have the money on hand, go for it. Nuggets will only increase in value, they are reasonably priced historic guns. Just don't molest it with drilling scope mounts or putting on a polymer stock
>>27937886
Go for it, getting an m44 for that price is pretty hard nowadays.
>>27937886
200 is a good price for a decent nugget, if it's shot out don't buy it for that much. The wood looks a little light, this means the guy probably doesn't bathe it in cosmoline, and therefore is a heretic.
Only buy it if you see it's good quality bore and cycles cleanly. For 160 you can get a decent nagant mail order, for 100-120 you can get a shit nagant.
Are you waiting on anything in the mail, /k/? Waiting on a magazine myself
>>27937828
>Waiting on a magazine myself
what is this, the 90's again? do people still read magazines?
>>27937844
This. And who the fuck puts tracking on a magazine?
>>27937828
A few things actually
hey /k/ im kinda new to guns and i have a question
does a rifle with no buffer/buffer tube have more recoil than a rifle with a buffer?
i.e im assuming guns that are too short to accommodate a buffer (bullpups) have more recoil than a rifle with a buffer because the bolt is just hitting the receiver. if so, why not put buffers in rifles?
>>27937693
I think it has more to do with the individual moving parts not moving as one like a long stroke design would. I think that's why short stroke pistons have less recoil. The mass isn't all moving at the same time.
>>27937693
The buffer tube holds the main spring, you tit. It has nothing to do with the bolt hitting the receiver, it's just that the ARs design is retarded.
But you are technically right, some race ARs are tuned so that you don't bottom out, and they do have less felt recoil at the cost of reliability.
>>27938013
No need to call them a tit, they admitted they were new to guns.
You could also theoretically tune any autoloading rifle in that manner, though it would be stupid, so that's still not a virtue of the buffer tube.
