Is it possible for a civilian to be more proficient with a firearm in combat situations than a trained member of the military?
>>27940186
Yes.
Im not a solider, but Im going to assume that actually firing your weapon is a small part of the job.
how dumb are you-the thread
Would attaching a Sig Arm Brace to a Bradley Port Firing Weapon and using the brace as intended turn the PFW into a viable close quarters weapon?
Handheld BRRRT for clearing rooms.
What if that weapon was a P90?
>Be more specific
>>27940122
Bradley PFW. Not a "PDW" as you liking read.
Which is pretty specific, and also not a P90.
>>27940143
So which firearm do you want to attach a Sig brace too?
Hey /k/
Just found out that my country still uses the old M60(but they are being fast replaced by the leo2)
Is the M60 still a capable/useful MBT by today standarts?
>>27940030
I might just have old info on the ammunition it uses, but I'm pretty sure the APFSDS used by the M60 Patton had difficulty penetrating the frontal armor of a T-64.
>>27940030
>Is it still useful?
That depends entirely upon how much it's been upgraded, and what it's expected to go up against.
M60 Jesus
did some soldiers actually prefer inferior ww2 weapons during vietnam wars? if so, was it because of the nostalgia?
>>27939747
Who says they are "inferior"?
>>27939747
>Nostalgia
Are you talking out of your ass? Most soldiers in Vietnam were not WW2 vets.
They probably wanted SMG's from experience with close range engagements in the jungle.
>>27939747
Nigger, do they LOOK like they're in their 40's?
I have been in the French foreign legion for 1.5 years.
You can ask questions if you wish.

Quel régiment ?
What do you think about people complaining about FF13 being a long hallway walk when FF10 was the same thing being a long hallway walk.
who do you hate more, france or the rest of the world
Post BOPE things.
Post examples of Brazil being a shithole when BOPE doesn't intervene.

Story/translation?
whoa
Aint dat sum shit.
How does /K/ manage ammo? Do you buy as you shoot or do you buy a few boxed here and there and have a long practice session? And how do you afford it as well.
>have 2 different stashes that I feed every now and then
>stash 1 is for people
>stash 2 is for paper and other assorted shit
>only use stash 2 for plinking
>also be greedy and always look for the best deals when ever I can find them
>>27939487
i try to buy in bulk, then never shoot it
>>27939507
I love freedom munitions for that reason. I try to keep at least a couple hundred rounds for now for just in case.
>almost 2016
>3 years after sandy hook
>still no .22lr in most stores
>scalpers still getting $50 a brick
Y?
>>27939435
Here in CA in gun control land (SF Peninsula) the both Big 5 in Redwood City and the Dick's in South SF are selling 550 round boxes for $25 until Christmas. I don't think they'll sell out as right now they'll let you buy a box every three days now (down from one/week).
>>27939491
huh I'm in central Texas and I've seen .22lr twice in the past year in a half. I bought a brand new 10/22 3 years ago that I've shot twice. It's saddening. On gunbot I can never find anything less than .10 cents a round.
Not the time of year for manufacturing .22lr. Manufacturers are running the fraction of the employees they once did. Outside military contracts there's popular hunting loads people stock up on this time of year.
And stop trying to buy at Wal-Mart. Those motherfuckers dont know shit about ordering. Many of the sporting goods chain stores are compelled not to buy ammo From corporate for political reasons.
Chinese J-11 and Thai Gripen in joint excercise.
How does this make America feel.

Chinese ripoff of Russian gear? Thats pretty low
Whenever I handle guns my hands get so sweaty. It is really embarrassing when I go to a gun store and have to apologize I covered their guns in my sweat. Does anyone else here on /k/ have this problem?
Last weekend I was at an Academy sporting goods store in Central Florida and I asked to look at their Hi-Point carbine.
>completely soaked the gun
>my disgusting body sweat all over it's rubber
>stirring macaroni and cheese sound as I grasp it's body
I'm pretty sure it isn't because I'm getting turned on... Please help /k/
Lose some weight fatass
1). Lose some weight.
2). Bathe regularly you disgusting fuck.

>i'm so fucked up.jpg
Assuming these things really can run at 90 km/h like they supposedly can in the movies, would they have their niche in real military?
>>27939055
Between RPGs, Stingers, LAWs, and Javelins an AT-ST is a walking pos.
That's true but no one in the SW Universe has any type of man-portable shaped warhead launcher so the AT-ST would wreck a lot of shit if there is no way to penetrate the armor.
no
if ewoks can take them out, you know they're shit
How triggered would /k/ be if this becomes the next service pistol?
it looks nice, and its not horrible
tons of interchangeable parts already in circulation , also service pistols for military arent exactly top priority
i want to see the 1911 return but the m9a3 is nice
>>27939054
It wont
What's he shooting at /k/?
>Type 95>Shooting>pick one
>>27939024
The L86 you retard
That's a motherfucking type 95
Why is China so hesitant about displaying their military power levels?
They've had multiple Chinese nationals executed by ISIS, they've had terrorist attacks at home, yet they commit no personnel or anything to the multiple fronts of the wars on terrorism, past and present.
Is it a chess game strategy of not revealing strengths and weaknesses unless absolutely necessary or is it fear of them not performing well in combat after going so long without a war (1979 was sino-Vietnam conflict)?
They obviously have impressive manpower but what do you armchair generals judge their battle readiness/effectiveness to be? Why are they do passive?
Have you considered the possibility they simply may not be warmongers like the US?
>>27939078
>implying
>>27939078
They just spend 126 billion annually and maintain the largest standing army on earth for defensive purposes or just a deterrent?
Okay, well......They've been attacked by terrorists.
They're still silent.
Okay,
So how does a former Legionnaire get radicalized to begin with?,
And why does a frog have better gear than I even have access to?
Please discuss.
Wow, that is indeed impressive equipment. Plus you have such a credible source! Please, enlighten me further.

Its because you're poor.
