Literally first thread on /k/
I'm tired of bullshit, I got fired on Christmas Eve working as software developer.
I'm about to burn every bridge and join some kind of military
I'm European so I was wondering FFL.. Does anyone have experience with that?
I'm quite /fit/
I can deadlift over 400pounds and squat 396.
But I have no previous weapons training
I come from, rural middle European background.
Would I have a chance or are the requirements too tight?

Being /fit/ is a great start. But gainz only get you so far when you're trying to make the cut. Mental toughness is the most important factor. In addition to that, I hope you aren't a pussy because if you are you will probably get bullied or even raped by your "comrades"
Also, I hope you know french or can learn it quickly.
>>
>>28366999
I don't know French
I've never been bullied before although there were attempts in past, I was taught from childhood that if I let someone else bully me at least once, it will just get worse from there on.
Just exactly how "tough" is that place?

Could USA survive another Vietnam? Afghanistan broke USSRs' back and USA was a complete political, military and economical mess after the Asian debacle.

How resistant are USA when it comes to a real war? (durka bombing, defeating glass militaries of Middle East and defeating a small island country able to build a few carriers does not count)

>>
If it was a "real war" as you put it then there'd be plenty of popular support in the USA as it would be a threat to average American life.
>>
>>28366474
if you could get the smelly hippies to shut up then we could survive and even win another vietnam style war
>>
Vietnam was not a real war. WWII was our last real war. However, a Syrian War would have much more popular support than the Vietnam war did.

I have a good collection of guns but I've got an itch to buy a midsize 380 for some plinking now that .380ACP can be found pretty cheap.

Seems like it would be relaxing and help work on fundamentals. I just don't enjoy shooting .22lr that much so I want to give 380 a go for a more 'relaxed' round. I held a Walther PK380 at my LGS and it felt cheaply made. The slide felt like pot metal like my old M&P22 pistol and the trigger was mediocre.

I'm trying to keep this experiment cheap so I'm looking for alternatives without godawful triggers (looking at you, LC380). I don't have an aversion to the Bersa Thunder 380 as they're pretty solid and I sure as fuck can't afford a PPK. Any other choices out there really that isn't a pocket gun? Maybe I need to give the PK380 a second chance.

That piece of shit is made by Umarex like the P22 and M&P22. It feels like pot metal because it IS.
>>
Whatever money you save by buying the gun will be spent with fucking expensive ammo. Just get a .22 or 9mm
>>
>>28366487

I have both, and .380 ammo is not expensive at all if you know where to look. I'm just trying to brainstorm what's out there.

Unfortunately I live in a third world country (pic related) and have to make do watching hikock45 instead of doing the real thing. A friend of mine does own a few shotguns as we live in the countryside and so I get to do some limited shooting but I am very seriously considering a visit to America, during which I (or the both of us) might spend a rather significant amount of time on a shooting range.

I would like to do this as cheaply as possible, if only to spend as much time shooting as possible, I have looked at some 'tourist ranges' which offer packages filled with novelty expriences or iconic weapons which do certainly look fun but don't offer a lot of time with the weapons. Basically if I could go over to the US and shoot targets with some combination of handgun/semi-auto rifle/bolt-action rifle+scope all day for as close to the cost of the ammo as possible I would be extremely happy.

Any suggestions on where I might do this? Probably next summer.

Easily suppressed by federal forces.

Politics dictate the outcome of wars, not individual fighters.
You and your pals hiding your guns or fighting the cops/military would accomplish little.

Lacking a solid political opposition and/or secession-backing politcians or people with serious money and means, it, and we, would die as a consequence of defending our beliefs.

If some states legit said "enough" and broke away from the Union, we can only presume there would be serious blood, and a bunch of dead people, before those states were eventually forced back into line.

>Nevertheless, always fight for what you believe in.
>Hillary is a 3,000-year-old mummy (Hil-ar-hotep) who just wants high office to expand her sorcery.
>She won't do confiscations, but just choke the issue via other means until there's no alternative but surrender, or no more guns ever, like the MG registry.

What is the point of this thing? I understand the LCP being a micro pistol, and the lc9 is a good gun, but why would you deliberately choose the exact same gun in an inferior caliber?

For that matter, why EVER pick .380 in a gun that has a 9mm equivalent (Sig 238 vs 938, for example)

>>
>>28365372
What do you think about bigger .380s like the beretta 84fs or cz 83?
>>
LCP is slightly smaller. LC380 is literally the same gun as LC9 only chambered in .380.

Other than the mag capacity I literally see no reason in getting the LC380.

What is the best 10mm on the market? Especially in terms of how comfortable and controllable it is, as well as being able to hold up to the full-power 10mm.

The only good examples I can think of are the newer Delta Elites, or the Glock 20. Which of these two is easier to shoot? Any other good pistols out there?

In b4 special snowflake cartridge. You can't deny it is the largest practical auto loading cartridge, and serves an important niche. And I fucking want one.

No experience with colt, but the flock shoots fine, just feels like the frame is warping in your hand everytime you fire. I own a Kimber Eclipse II in 10mm. Got a tacti-cool compensator for it and the bitch shoots like a dream. Low recoil, easy target realignment, and accurate as all Fuck.
>>
>>28365602
>Kimber

Rock Island sells an affordable 10mm 1911. Personally I would rather have the RIA TAC Ultra over the Delta, because it's not only ~400 dollars cheaper, the barrel is fully ramped and supported. You could also look at the STI Nitro 10 or the 10mm Sig P220.

Once a carrier has launched it's complement of aircraft and pilots, how long does it take for the carrier to construct additional aircraft and pilots?

As fast as you can train deck swabbers to pilot billion dollar aircraft

One turn to construct and they can launch on the next turn so long as the carrier is carrying less than three seaplanes, it also costs 22000 RESOURCE UNITS

Hey /k/

A couple of days ago I bought myself a px4 storm in full size and I must say I am extremely impressed with how it performs, how it feels and just generally with the firearm. I do not understand why this weapon is not talked more about, or even used by law enforcement; I mean sure the safety can be a little uncomfortable but it is easily replaceable with low profile ones.

personally I don't like the decocking aspect of the gun. I've owned one, shot it, liked it, but didn't like it enough to keep it.

It's not too bad once you get used to it, it might make racking the slide a little awkward at first but I would say overall this feels great to shoot and even have as an edc firearm
