Does he sing "Ramblin' Man?"

I have a serious question for you guys.

I live in Florida and have a concealed carry license and I want to purchase a compact pistol. Me and my family are currently living with my parents while we save for our first home. My father is a convicted felon from 25+ years ago. In no way, shape or form am I going to do anything to put his freedom in jeopardy.

Is it legal for me to purchase and keep it in the same house as a convicted felon? If it is illegal can I keep the gun inside of my car in the driveway? Is this not considered part of the residence? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

In any state its not legal at all. You AND him will both serve time depending on the state.

I wouldn't risk it.
>>
>>28369711

Him being a felon and having his rights taken away doesn't take away your rights. He just can't have physical possession of it, or have easy access to it. Get a safe.

I usually wear ear-muffs, like the ones you wear doing work. Ear "plugs" don't seem to fit my ear right, so I go with muffs instead. However, I'm unable to get a good cheek-weld, and thus my form is all messed up. When I shoulder a rifle, the muffs would get in the way, or shift.

I use Howard Leight Impact Sports, they are a little lower profile than regular muffs.

Out of all the ones I've held, it's the only one I really fell in love with and bought. It feels solid, is very comfortable to hold, and looks great.
It's easy to strip and clean too, which is a big deal to me.
>>
no.

The ppq chambered in 22 is the best 22 pistol

I sold my old SR22 a long time ago, but now that Ruger just released the SR22 Long Slide, I might buy one.

I sold it because I didn't use it. I already had my Mk II and never really found a use for my SR22. The thing was reliable in the 750 or so rounds I put through it, and was accurate enough.

Ergonomics are fucking great through.

I wouldn't call it the best .22 pistol when there is plenty of competition that is extremely high quality (like Volquartsen), but for the price it's hard to beat.

The M&P 22 is also pretty good.

Hey /k/iddos,

So I'm looking at the Sig P320 and just had a few questions for those of you who have fired or owned one of these bad boys.

Is there much difference other than size of course in the full sized, carry, compact and subcompact ?

Are there any disadvantages to getting the threaded barrel?

I have head a lot of people just find it difficult to shoot / don't like the trigger but still continue to praise it highly. What good is a firearm that can't hit where and when you need it to ?

How lefty friendly is it ?

Does the fact that the whole mechanism just lifts out, able to be placed in another size frame feel gimmicky, or does it feel legit ?

So, any answers or criticisms welcomed. Thanks all. I'm sure more questions will arise.

I have a Sig P 226 and I love it. But that 320 looks really sweet !
>>

>Is there much difference other than size of course in the full sized, carry, compact and subcompact ?

None. They function exactly the same and most of the parts interchange; eg. you can put a full-size slide on a subcompact frame, a subcompact slide on a full-size frame, and anything in between. They also all take the same mags.

>Are there any disadvantages to getting the threaded barrel?

You just have an extra bit of barrel sticking out. That might interfere with some holsters, but that's all.

>I have head a lot of people just find it difficult to shoot / don't like the trigger but still continue to praise it highly. What good is a firearm that can't hit where and when you need it to ?

Whoa what? I'm not a fan of how the grip feels or how high it sits in your hand, but it has a fantastic light, short, crisp trigger and is very easy to shoot with. If there's any single thing to praise about the 320, is its trigger and how that lends to accuracy.

>How lefty friendly is it ?

Very. The slide lock is on both sides and the mag release is reversible. The only thing not on the right side of the gun is the takedown lever.

>Does the fact that the whole mechanism just lifts out, able to be placed in another size frame feel gimmicky, or does it feel legit ?

It feels just as solid as any other gun. The whole thing is locked into place with the huge beefy takedown lever/pin.

It really is a good gun overall. The only thing I didn't like were (some of) the ergonomics. Namely the grip is too round and feels like I'm holding a roughly textured tube, and I'm used to pistols like the Glock, M&P and FNS so the slide (and sights) sitting so high in my hand is strange. Other than that no complaints. Pick one up at a store, see how it feels, and if you like it, try it out.
>>
>>28368558
Neat, do you like it ?

>>28368603
Thanks for the great response. Answered a lot of the questions I had that kind of made me hesitant. I didn't know that about the reversible mag drop that's great.

Looks like I'll just have to go play with one at the funstore again.

What do you guys think of the Savage Hog Hunter?

Is the lack of removable mag a problem?
44 posts and 13 images submitted.
>>
I would much rather have a non-removable magazine that I could single load over a Ruger American rifle magazine.
Seriously, who the fuck at Ruger thought of that bullshit?
>>
I fondled one at Buds for weeks. It had a ridiculous price of like $329.00 or something and I wish I would have bought it. Seemed solid and for what it is intended, it would do the job quite well.

>is the lack of removable mag a problem?
Only if you set out to get a gun with a removable magazine. If so, you're gonna have a bad time.

So somebody on a videogame forum just answered me this:
Put your NRA manual down for a minute. Gun enthusiasts use the word magazine to be more specific, not to be more accurate. This "difference" is nothing more than a secret handshake for gun enthusiasts to they can measure the gun-club version of street-cred against one another.
Small arms magazines that also contain a feeding mechanism are also clips. Magazines are for storage, clips are for automatic feeding. That's why a battleship magazine isn't a clip. But almost all spring loaded box magazines are.
And since ammo in this game is created by nanites on the fly, its questionable if they are even magazines at all, and not simply a feeding and storage mechanism for nanites, much like vanu's batteries. That would make them just clips, or something else entirely, but definitely not magazines.

Its planetside 2 ....
>>
Clips are for loading magazines, which can be internal or external.
>>
>>28366787
Eh, no. You use clips to put cartridges into fixed, internal magazines inside rifles or external, removable magazines. The cartridges don't feed directly from a clip. The clip is a tool to ease loading of magazines.

Hey guys, have an idea on the S&W but not the Walther PP or Mauser .25ACP.

First: S&W Model 19-4. 99% to Unfired condition with original box and materials. Box is somewhat rough but complete. Not sure if grips are factory. My guess is $600-800 value.

Second: Walther PP .32ACP (7.65 on slide). Really excellent condition with no major wear or pitting. Appears to be an earlier one, guessing early 50s? No idea on value.

Third: Mouse gun marked Mauser WTP .25ACP. Very Excellent condition overall with a tiny circle of shallow pitting right side behind trigger. Finish overall is excellent. No idea on value.

I'm checking for my Uncle otherwise I'd definitely keep the S&W and the Walther. He probably won't sell them but wants to know what he could get for them. Appreciate any help.

Why do some guns have the handle on the right side? Wouldn't it be easier to have it all on the left so you could be able to cock the gun without having to flip or turn it at all?

Do they make AKs with the handle on the left side?

Majority of people are right-handed.

Gotta cut a hole for the bolt handle to connect to the bolt carrier. Easiest to make this hole on the same side or part of the ejection port, which you want away from the shooter.
>>
I would image that's so the ejected shell doesn't hit your arm, but it could be for another reason
>>
>>28363258
For AKs it's because Russian doctrine is to charge with primary hand, for easier retraining of conscripts who were used to bolt-action
