I have recently started travelling to Texas a couple times a year for business, and in my down time like to check out the local gun shops. Last year I went to Austin and didn't really like it, this time it's Dallas. Anyone familiar with which shops in the downtown they like the best, widest inventory, friendliest fudds, etc.? A firsthand reference from a /k/ dweller means more to me than some Yelp review or google picture.

You're going to want to get out of downtown to find the best stores/ranges. Head north. Plano, Lewisville, Frisco.

I would recommend White Wing Armory in Plano. Small shop but super friendly and knowledgable.

Why?

What keeps you in a place that mangles your firearms, has waiting periods and background checks for both guns and ammo, and generally hates your hobby?

Is it the outdoors, the jobs, the people, the pay, the weather, etc?
What makes it worth it to deal with the BS?

Could not find a job outside of here last time I was in between jobs. I've got more experience now and have been getting calls from recruiters a lot so maybe I'll try again.

If you want to not starve it'd be a good idea to learn how to harvest and use natural fibers to make rope/twine. Fishing is incredibly easy when the laws no longer apply, you can literally just drag a net across a river and get loads of fish. Also traps are pretty easy to make, you just have to know how before hand or trial and error it till it works.

How many non-niggers did you encounter not including your fellow cervixmen?

I've started doing backyard forging of soft metals like aluminum and brass.

Would aluminum make a good material to make buck or birdshot out of? Any issues with it I'm not seeing?

Aluminum is soft and would make shit buckshot, not to mention it is a thousand times harder and more expensive to make than steel. You are retarded and obviously have no fucking clue what you are doing.
>>
>>32156464
Aluminum isn't very dense. You'd get awful ballistics.
>>
too light. won't fly far. you'd be better off throwing rocks.

Hunting? Try using a bow and arrow, guns make it too easy
>>

$1500.00? Shit dude, there's a lot of them. I think you'll find most of the market is based around $400 to $600 though. Give me $1500.00 and I can get a bad ass rifle, good scope, ammo, cleaning tools, pair of boots and something to wear hunting.

there are a lot of different makes/models. go to a big store like bass pro/gander mountain/cabelas since they will have a huge selection. Pick one you like then search online or in smaller shops for a deal on them

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Say I wanted to replace the stock of a sporterized abomination like pic related. Is it as simple as buying a new stock for the gun and then disassembling and reassembling it; or is it more complicated than I think? How would I go about restoring an Enfield like pic related to look like a proper one?
12 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>32156397
As long as you get the right barrel bands and the actual barrel hasn't been shortened then yeah, it'll basically be remove bubba stock and put on original style stock.
>>
>>32156418
Awesome; well that makes me feel a lot better about buying a sporterized piece of shite. A lot of the time, the sporterized milsurp guns are decent quality at a good deal.
>>
>>32156486

Yea but the money you save is almost always less than what it costs to restore the rifle. Replacing all the wood on an SMLE can cost anywhere from 150-300 dollars, possible even more if you want nice looking replacement parts. And that's for something common like an SMLE.

While I'm not saying it's not a neat project, and I do wish you the best of luck on it, it's not really a way to get an"original" rifle for cheap, since you almost always end up paying 50-100% more than what it's worth.

So what do you guys think?
WW3 or an end to NATO?
Maybe this can be an opportunity to kick the sand niggers out of NATO and strengthen our ties with Russia.
But we'd have to do a 180 on our entire foreign policy for the last 40 years.

I believe them being attacked on foreign soil would still trigger it.
I assume that's why the US hasn't attacked Syria or Russia directly.

I found a gun in my son's bedroom, hidden inside his mattress. He had cut a slit in the side facing the wall and stuffed it inside. I only found it because I wanted to surprise him with a new bed.

It's this gun, a "Hi-Point Firearms Model JHP 45 ACP". I don't know a lot about guns, my dad had a lot of them, and I own a shotgun, but I've never owned a handgun, so I have a few questions for you all.

1) I took the clip out and the bullets are "hollow points", are these illegal? I only know what they are because they were a plot point in one of the Lethal Weapon movies

2)Is there any way I can look up the serial number and see where this gun came from?

3)How and why would a 16 year old white kid in the suburbs get a hold of a gun?

4)The magazine had 5 bullets, which Hi-Point's website tells me it holds 8. Should I be concerned?

I'm really in shock right now. I have nothing against guns, if my son wants to learn to shoot he knows he can tell me. We've gone out and shot my shotgun a few times. I just can't understand why or how he has this? What should I do? I don't want to turn it into the police because I'm afraid my son will go to jail.
