Hi /k/, I have a problem. No matter how much i mash on this thing with a hammer, it refuses to go in.
1. The rounded part went in first.
2. Hammer is not cocked.
3. The hammer strut is in the little cup in the mainspring housing.
How to i get it to go in? It gets halfway and stops. Pic related.
Also, QTDDTOT.
>>32147099
bumping because i just bought a 1911.
>>32147099
Drive the pin in while putting pressure on the mainspring housing.
Three things come to mind.
Easiest one is the mainspring housing isn't set in there all the way. You can check to see if pushing it up a little while tapping the pin works.
2. If the mainspring housing is up all the way then try putting a slightly smaller punch through the hole then check the function of the hammer, grip safety, and trigger. If everything works the try pushing out the smaller punch with the pin.
3. If there is something wrong with the hammer or trigger then you put the searspring in wrong and it is pushing the hammerspring out of line. Disassemble and try again.
why is this allowed?
>>32146466
i know right?
those shitty air popguns don't do the sport justice.
>>32146466
pretty sure she makes more money doing whatever that is professionally than you make expressing your disapproval of it on 4chan

What's the deal with javelin throwers in the Olympics? Where's the Roman scutum and why are they not carrying the gladius? I mean, what's up with that?
Redpill me on the mini 14. Considering getting one
>worse than an AR-15
>more expensive
>less modular
The only reason to get one now is if you live in a cucked state.
+is a gun
--not an ar15
Would reconsider unless you live in a shithole where that is legal but other guns aren't, you want to cosplay as the A-Team, or you just really really want one.
>>32145832
They're alright, nothing too great about them. If you live in a cuck state like me then you won't have to worry about bans or salt rifles. I have a garand and an M1A that I love but the mini always feels like the runt. I'd rather just shoot .223/5.56 out of my AR or savage axis.
If you can find one for less than 600 go for it. The gun shop I work at has the 30, 14, and .300 and are at 800 bucks
Illinois isn't even that bad. Only Cook County where chiraq is terrible for guns. Let this meme die
Thank you for Correcting The Record.
>>32144458
Chicago isn't even that bad anymore. There's been such radical changes in the last 10 years.
>handgun ban that's been in place for decades was undone
>sale of firearms within the city limits ban undone
>forced to recognize CCW permits
>gun registration that's been in place for over 30 years finally shut down in 2013
>also, the need to get a Chicago gun permit and pay $100+ for a mandatory class ended that same year
>mag capacity limit used to be 10 rounds, recently got bumped up to 15,
>now there may or may not be a limit anymore, but that's a gray area
>>32144458
Illinois is a disgrace to the Midwest.
Minnesota too.

>Every hand gun in California on the Roster is going to expire by 2018.
>No new guns have been added.
Has California managed to legally ban hand guns for the average citizen? Even if a few companies renew their guns, the remaining companies are going to be a a questionable monopoly because nobody else will be able to compete with them.
>>32142890
>legally
The Constitution says otherwise.
California is lost. Anyone with any sense left a long time ago.
>>32142890
isn't this exactly what heller was about?
How much does your AR weigh, and are you content with its current body image or think it could stand to gain or lose a few ounces or pounds?
AR build #1 - 8.9lbs. Huge scope. Once I put my UBR on, probably close to 10lbs.
AR build #2 - 8.0lbs. Another rather large scope.
AR build #3 - 6.7lbs. Basic 16" carbine with irons and drop-in handguard.
I don't care about weight because I'm not a wannabee tacticool faggot who thinks they are an operator.
>>32142887
>I don't care about weight
Because you never shoot your guns
About 10 lbs
*unsheathes katana* BANZAI!!!!!!!
wot do, Amerifat?
>>32140369
Blow them away with my .50 cal. What about you rice cock?
Die. I mean how could huwite piggu ever compete?
>>32140369
M1919 it all away before the flamethrower niggers can steal the kills.
Ask a former provisional ira soldier anything
>>32138871
Would you classify the IRA as a leftist organisation or just a seperatist movement the left praised for being anti UK. (Just to clarify by left I mean people like socialists and Marxists not college liberals)
>>32138905
>socialists and Marxists not college liberals
If you're talking about nowadays those are basically the same thing.
got any exciting stories?
What's the most autistic gun to conceal carry?
>>32138628
a half a gun?
g17
or a .22 anything
>>32138705
My grandfather carried either a .22 or .32 ACP everywhere he went. Suited him fine when he got mugged at 64.
So I've conjured up another one and want /k/'s opinion. Based on the Mossberg Patriot receiver and walnut stock. Other parts were sourced from Krags, the general layout inspired by early Mausers. I mean the name is totally cheese but I had to work with what I was given.
My thoughts in doing this are....mil-surps are drying up. Some are so damn expensive its lunacy to even fire the damn things. Sure you can build an AR, got some myself, but a rifle like this just brings a sense of nostalgia and utility to an otherwise bland and neutered hunting rifle.
I mean haven't you ever wondered what it was like to pull a brand new Gewehr 98 from a transit crate? Best you can hope for is a bubba sand and stain job or one of the 1903s that have been rebuilt and cut in half a half dozen times. The pic is grainy as fuck but again had to work with what I had on hand.

>also available in .30-06
What does your design do that this doesn't?
Make it mount an M1917 bayonet and we'll talk.
>>32156014
On first inspection and without going into the CZ thoroughly? Rear sight graduations, layout of the stock, stripper clip feeding, made in USA (that matters to some, IDGAF) and mine would be about half that price.
You're literally an uninformed retard if you don't think that the MK23 is the most durable and most reliable handgun ever. You should be saving your money to buy one right now, dumb fuck.
>>32153552
Is this the new sebenza posting?
>>32153552
I don't disagree with you at all. I have a newer USP that feels like a brick. Couldn't imagine a more sturdier auto. Then I held and shot my friends mk23 and it'd ten fold more solidly built.
If I HAD to choose a semi auto handgun for ultimate harsh weather outdoor survival it would be this one.
>>32153580
fucking right? The MK23 is just so much more reinforced it's fucking ridiculous.
How do you defend against this argument?
>allowing campus carry is a bad idea because in the event of a mass shooting, how will we know who's the "good guy" or the "bad guy"? How do you know who to shoot?
>>32152159
is that pupinia?
Looks like pupinia.
>>32152159
proper action in this situation is to get everyone you can into a room with you and guard the entrance with whatever available firearms there are until law enforcement arrives, you're not supposed to go try and be a hero hunting down active shooters and cutting the pie while darting around campus. it's much like home defense.
>>32152159
The bad guy will be firing into the civilians. The good guys if properly knowledgeable or trained, will wait until finding the perp and then dispatching them, then holstering their weapon.
Also, carrying concealed isn't really meant for that. It's meant for if your life is directly threatened, not seeking out an active shooter.
Which color would you pick?
>>32151840
The bronze is actually pretty nice. We had one for a few weeks before some tool came in and bought it. The battleship gray looked like an NES zapper.
>>32151840
I can see not wanting pure white, but cream?
>>32151840
The purple one
