mere hypothetical, how reasonable would it be for a completely untrained person to take a rifle from an injured soldier to defend against a public terrorist attack?
Is the use of a rifle something that needs a lot of practical training?

Almost completely unrealistic. Not having at least a basic understanding of the weapon platform means that you may not even be able to manipulate the safety, let alone use the weapon for defense.

Best cheap bolt action that isn't a Mosin?
I need a truck gun for my lake cabin and would prefer something cheap with cheap ammo. Already have a Mosin so I'd like to not get another one, but I will if that's really the only choice.

So I'm new to guns and I have a G19 and an M&P Shield.
I've been dropping a round in the chamber, slamming the slide down on the round and then inserting a mag to get the +1. I never knew it fucked the extractor.
How fucked am I? How do I know if I fucked my guns up?
Bonus round: I've been pinballing my slides on empty chambers too, does that fuck my guns up?

yea i did and it was kinda chill because i like the outdoors but kinda crappy because i live in south florida and there are snakes and giant banana spiders and all sorts of other shit so you need to be careful but otherwise its fun just go inside your sleeping bag or hammock with a couple mosquito nets around it and you are good, also sleep with you boots and a gun in case you are near water and a rouge gator migrating from canal to canal or swamp to swamp and decides to smell you out

About mid thirties, 250-300 pounds, stubble. You can see that his hairline has already started to recede. In addition to the photo, there is listed a name, Robert Langley, as well as an address, and his place of work and schedule.
You place the unfolded paper back on your desk. "I see the guy. You want me to take care of him?" As the words leave your lips, you can see the dame shudder a little.
"Just... just make him go away. I have money." The woman clenches and unclenches her fists in angst.
"As long as he's not a high profile kinda guy, my... fee.. is ten grand, up front." She pulls out a wad of cash, lumps it on your desk, then repeats until her bag is empty.
You count through the bills, inspecting them. Mostly hundreds, with some fifties and twenties strewn in. No sign of counterfeit, and, the serial numbers aren't consecutive.

I never knew. The MEPs doctor in 2009 had me pulled out of the CAT-ASVAB due to a technicality from an older family doctor note that disqualified me. On the practice tests though I do pretty well. W/O practice and studying I only missed 23 of 250 on Military.com.
Currently applying for the Coast Guard or Air Force.

Why are you afraid of competition? Are you worried that you will look like you don't know what you're doing and the other shooters will laugh at you? Are you afraid you're going to find out that you pretty much suck? Are you worried that when the pressure is on you'll choke and fail?
