My mother just called me to tell me that my godparent died a few days ago. =(
He was hunter and collector of weapons and had a nice collection of guns at home. I went shooting with him a few times. As we live in germany we need a license to own guns. Luckily his wife and close friends have licenses, so the government won't come for the guns. Unfortunately i don't have a license yet, so no (legal) guns for me. I just wanted to share some pictures with you. Pic related, its my godparent. (Ignore the finger on the trigger , plz)

Since this is military related I thought it would most likely be best to post it on this board. If not, lead me elsewhere.
Anyways, Im trying to become an army ranger by the end of next year (a year from now) and im aware you need a secret clearance to join. My question is how strict are they? For the rangers atleast. I ask because i used to smoke weed frequently and experimented with dmt (dimethiltrypdamine) and acid. The only pro i have on my side is that this all happened when I was young probably around 16, and im 19 now. I can't fucking sleep thinking i might not even have a chance joining. Help.

so /k/ legal advice time, now ik anons on the internet probably isnt the best source but im taking everything with some salt here. also im aware gun laws are different in different states so my question is specifially for illinois
the question is, if i get pulled over with a legally carried rifle (unloaded and encased) and the officer askes if i have a weapon in the car and i say yes, what happens then? cam he/she legally inspect/check/search my rifle? or can i just show them my foid and call it good. reason i ask is because the other day i had my 1911 with me under my seat, i got stopped and one of their last questions was if i had a weapo. or drugs in the vehical, it was 2am at the time, (i was getting a warning for not stopping completely at a stop sign btw) and i simplely lied and said "no i dont officer" and they went on their way.
however im not sure how the situation had played out if i had my rifle in its bag in the back seat, in plain sight of the officer. i tried looking online but everything is regarding concealed carry and if one should tell the officer first.
i just dont want an officer to have any excuse to search my shit, not like i have anything its just the idea of it, also most cops around here are young and over zealous about everything

I have this idea for a firearm and I wanted to run it by you guys before I sell it to the major firearm makers (Glock, Beretta etc).
What about an auto aim? The heart has its own electromagnetic field. Taking advantage of this you could implement a system that's an IRL auto aim for the heart. The technology would be in the firearm and the ammunition itself.

Pretty sure i almost got stabbed by a homeless guy once. Out walking the dog, pass some bum, stop for a second because my shoe came untied. As I finish tying it dog just flips around and starts barking at something behind me, I turn around and it's the same homeless guy I passed a minute ago. Pretty sure the only reason I'm still alive is that my dog is, while not the largest canine, big enough that she looks like she could do some damage.
