I never knew. The MEPs doctor in 2009 had me pulled out of the CAT-ASVAB due to a technicality from an older family doctor note that disqualified me. On the practice tests though I do pretty well. W/O practice and studying I only missed 23 of 250 on Military.com.

Currently applying for the Coast Guard or Air Force.

Speaking as someone who got 99 in each category and high raw scores beyond that, without any study materials or other prep--your and my scores don't fucking matter, anons. The ASVAB isn't meant to test higher-spectrum intelligence at all; in fact its ability to accurately rank people breaks down above an 80 (which should be obvious to anyone able to understand how a bell curve works). You need a different test for higher scores to have any kind of meaning.

If you want to do intelligence comparisons, let's hear your SAT scores. 800 English, 790 Math, 750 Writing here, which put me at the top 200 in the nation for my graduating class. 218 on the PSAT which made me a National Merit Scholar. 145 on the last IQ test I did.

You wanna know how much that IQ did as far as making me successful in life? Jack and shit. I'd have done far better being stupider and with more humility or a better work ethic. Being smart is overrated.

As to OP: relax, your 69 is nothing to be ashamed of--you're good to go for most every career field out there, and that's the only thing that matters as far as the ASVAB goes.

There are some pretty good practice tests you can just Google, but none of the ones I found simulated the actual test very well. The test is pretty easy if you can remember basic math formulas and have a bit of common sense

I took it straight out of high school scored a 92, didn't study and was a bit of a slacker so you should score pretty well. You can also take a practice test at most recruiters offices that will gI've you a pretty good idea of where you are.

Made the mistake of taking the asvab.

Navy hounded me for four years out of high school trying to get me to go nuke.

Though armed forces are my backup plan if I don't have a new job by may or so, however I'm thinking artillery or mortars.... I mean seriously, using trigg to wreck other people's shit? I did that in high school with potato cannons.

first or second week you'll be in P-days. Shit load of medical stuff will be done. When i was being outed they basically read me my medical history, so if you left something off it can show up even if you kept your lips sealed at MEPS. If you are sent to SEPS make yourself useful ASAP by helping run your new ship the, RDC's will go to bat for you to get back in if you fuck up like I did demonstrate you don't want to be sent home like everyone else.

>>32215846
>You wanna know how much that IQ did as far as making me successful in life? Jack and shit.

This is so true. I am above average IQ. Never been tested but throughout my life I have scored within the top 5 percentile of any standardized test. So I am no 145 IQ but I am at least a standard deviation above. I retain information for long periods of time with little effort, having only browsed a piece of material for a few moments.

Now what did I do with this ability? Fuck all. I am currently 41 and work at a subway. I could have had papers published as an undergrad by a backing of two professors. I got a 96 ASVAB score and instead of taking an offer from the AF I chose to be a dick and got my recruiter in trouble. I could been retired by now.

I am living proof smart people do not make smart decisions.

My only hope at this point is I learn to farm on the 10 acres I own or spend my spare time trying to learn more Mandarin. I am completely unmarketable and a failure in life.

Well, now I am depressed.

>How about digging up dirt on people?

I am prone to being petty, vindictive, having too much time on my hands and remembering events. These are all traits I had to overcome to even have the small amount of friends I currently have. I do not not want to make a living out of being an asshole, as good as I might be at it. I rather be poor and know I get invited to Christmas.

Stayed up late getting drunk and shitposting here the night before, got a 99 and line scores from 144 to 151. The test is only good for qualifying for a military career field and never used for anything else after. It's not even precise at the higher levels and nobody cares because it's more important that it be precise in the middle.
