I know its a little early but lets get one of theses threads going.
I have a question about handgun grip. I was watching some youtube videos and reading some articles and I've heard this tip of taking my left support hand and angling it a 45 degree angle. It makes sense scientifically and such but when I try to do it I start to feel this extreme tension in my wrist and it becomes harder for me to fill the "gap" with my support hand and provide enough pressure, when I try to do this while in weaver stance (my preffered stance) it's nigh impossible. I start to feel some pain in my left wrist and I can never imagine doing this in any self defense scenario. Should I just ignore the 45 degree angle thing?
The one way I can make it work with the 45 degree angle is if I don't worry about filling the gap and my support hand just ends up mostly squeezing my fingers. If I want to "fill the gap" then I need to lighten the angle on my wrist so it's not pointed downward as much.
The gun I'm using is a glock 19 (pic related) I might even look into getting a different gun, this thing aint that comfortable, but there have been times where I've been able to shoot bullseyes with it, so it's not the gun itself, it's me.
Hold it sideways so the recoil advances the gun to the next threat.

Alright /k/ how would world militaries of 2017 hold out and what weapons would work well on the dragon onslaught

Bring back the Bofors and call it a day.
Why are war axes so closely associated with Vikings? They utilized short swords as much as anyone. Also a terrible weapon in combat.
>>32921675
You need good axes to make boats.
>>32921675
>a terrible weapon in combat.
depends on who you're fighting
it's front heavy so it hits harder, also it's more forgiving on edge alignment so it requires less training

Mainly because in current pop culture, many fantasy tropes get associated with vikings.
This dumb leaf wasn't sure where else to ask, so I'm relying on you fine folks to dissect what she's carrying. See I'm not even sure if it's a magazine. My guess was that it's some kind of platform/rest if sharpshooting.

who is better? delta force or ST6?

Obviously Delta Force because they've been in more movies.
Delta pools from DEVGRU so I would say Delta, I heard they're a pack of psychos though.

>You are now responsible for outfitting the entire military of a first world country with small arms
>This is not a refit/upgrade situation; you are starting from absolutely nothing. You will be buying everything new. You don't have stockpiles of a certain kind of ammo to think about.
>Luckily, this country is wealthy. Money is not an issue, but you must stay within reason - no standard issue Korth revolvers or gold Desert Eagles
You must choose:
- Service Rifle
- Side Arm

First world doesn't really tell me size, and that matters. The bigger the order, the more you can demand.
I'd likely contact manufacturers willing to set up inside the country or allow locals to produce under license. Follow that up with a set of trials intended to examine weapon and ammunition performance in the most challenging environments in the nation, try to give up preconceived notions and go for what works best for the local situation.
If there isn't time, or there simply isn't a large enough force to justify that kind of work, I'd make relatively conservative choices.
Rifle: M4
Pistol: Glock 19
Carbine: See Above
LMG: MG3

>WASHINGTON — Angry at the civilian casualties incurred last month in the first commando raid authorized by President Trump, Yemen has withdrawn permission for the United States to run Special Operations ground missions against suspected terrorist groups in the country, according to American officials.
>Grisly photographs of children apparently killed in the crossfire of a 50-minute firefight during the raid caused outrage in Yemen. A member of the Navy’s SEAL Team 6, Chief Petty Officer William Owens, was also killed in the operation.
>While the White House continues to insist that the attack was a “success” — a characterization it repeated on Tuesday — the suspension of commando operations is a setback for Mr. Trump, who has made it clear he plans to take a far more aggressive approach against Islamic militants.

I need some advice on how to deal with a problem I'm having /k/. Here's the situation:
>Work at fun store
>Boss gives us information about sales contests for Springfield and Sig
>Earn points from sales and redeem them for swag or guns
>Earn enough points to get an M1A and a Sig 1911
>Redeem points for guns
>Guns arrive this week
>Boss keeps them
>Says I didn't earn them
>Says because he decided to mark prices down for a sale that the guns sold during that time period don't qualify and he should get to keep them instead.
>He did this to the other employees too.
>He basically just motivated us to take part in this sales program so that if we did win any free weapons he could take them for himself.
Is there anything I can do /k/? Technically the guns don't belong to me because I didn't do a background check but the invoices have my name on them. I did the extra work doing the tests and qualifying for the sales contest. Even though the guns were free from the manufacturer I still have to pay taxes on them. So what should I do? Do I contact the manufacturers and let them know what he's doing? Should I contact the ATF? Should I get in touch with a lawyer? There must be something I can do to get the guns I earned.

The grips that are on it now aren't those presentation grips either. It's a different set of rubber grips. A lot happens to ha gun in 40 years though. Did some research. They open in 45 minutes, I'll be there to buy it and take some time at the range with it.
