Face it, after ten years of trying to pick a sidearm they finally made a decision on trumps Inauguration Day because they knew the gravy train of "trials" was over and they needed something that looked good on paper. They should have went with a glock, m&p or even the fucking m9a3 if they were trying to make a halfway decent decision

And now... We wait. We are about to witness a holy war unlike any that has ever been seen. Hiroshima and Nagasaki will look like a fucking joke. Blood shall be spilt this day on this Uruguayan Bob Ross appreciation forum.

Deal with it, Faggot.
What kind of bolt action rifle should I get, besides a nugget?
I'd like it to be fairly inexpensive to shoot, and the rifle itself can't quite break the bank.
Am I just better off getting a nugget?
Also, Bolt Action thread.
>>33239953
Savage 110, Tikka T3.
>>33239953
savage axis
no milsurp is cheap to shoot anymore but i guess the cheapest that isnt a nugget yet still worth owning would be an enfield. can be found for ~$400 and ammo 70 cpr for PPU, shitty wolf is even cheaper
This one OP.
It's fun and cheap.
Just ordered pic related for $2,650. How'd I do?
Thinking of getting a Leupold CQBSS to go with it
>>33239932
>not 50 shades of brown
>>33239932
Not bad, they're supposed to be great guns albeit kinda pricey compared to AR-10's.
>>33239932
That's exactly what I paid about two years ago, so you did really well. I believe that's the cheapest I've ever seen a 17S, or at least within $50.
ACOG is best if you want to play battle rifle, unless you have Elcan money, but on the SCAR group I seem to see people dumping them time and time again.
If you're wanting long-range, I'm sure the leupold would be fine.
Dying general edition

Some college kid just made fun of me for having transition lenses. Wtf
>>33239779
How old are you?
Sup /k/ is my barrel pitting?
>>33239691
Nope.
Lead fouling.
Use a Bore brush and run some patches through.
Repeat a few times. you'll never get it all out but you should be fine (at least that's how my Webley is.)
>>33239711
I've stuffed the cleaning rod down there multiple times with no changes
I don't think I used patches though i'lol have to give it a go after work
>>33239691
Do you honestly think those minuscule fucking specs are pitting?
My yugo SKS looks like the fields of France in WW1 and shoots just fine.
Your little peashooter has a long way to go before you have to remotely worry.
Hey /k/,
Im a US expat who hasnt lived in the US since I was 4 years old and I might be moving back in a few years, due to my career.
Ive been trying to find more info on the current california gun laws, but I cant seem to get a definitive answer from forums/actual laws etc.
Could any CA-fag please answer me the following:
>Will I be able to buy and register a new "assault rifle" after the "new assault weapon law" goes into effect? Or are new assault rifles essentially illegal for anyone who didnt own one previously?
>Furthermore, is the M1a Socom considered an "assault rifle" by california law?
And lastly, just a general question to /k/. If you could only own 1 handgun in CA and 1 shotgun for homedefense, which ones would be ideal, considering the 10 round magazine cap?
Would a 1911 springfield TRP be a reliable choice for home defense?
Thanks in advance for your answers /k/.
1. No
2. No, lucky for you
>>33239557
Don't move here, it's hell.
redpill me on double barrel shotguns
are they as fun to use as they look? are they shitty guns?
They are my favorite weapon in 90's FPS.
>>33239482
>are they as fun to use as they look?
Depends entirely on what you're trying to use them for.
>are they shitty guns?
"double barrel shotgun" is a genre, not a brand, make, or model. Some are shit, some are not, some are fucking works of art.
As a general rule, any O/U or SxS shotgun made in Eastern Europe or South America is crudely constructed from inferior materials and will have a short lifespan measured in hundreds of rounds, whereas O/U or SxS shotguns made in America or Western Europe are well-made with multi-generational lifespans measured in hundreds of thousands of rounds.
>>33239482
>are they as fun to use as they look?
Depends if you get hammerless vs hammers.
> are they shitty guns?
They're range toys or fudd hunting. They're not practical other than being able to fire both barrels at once if you have a two trigger model. Semis will still be better.
I only bought one because I've got a raging hard-on for old wooden shotguns
Can anyone recommend me a good .45? I plan to buy HK45.
FNX 45 Tac
15 rounds of God's Caliber
USP 45, M&P 45, Glock 21, mid tier and up 1911.
That's all I got really...

HK or FN or Glock
Basically the answer to any pistol related question
So after reading both Flight Of The Intruder and The Intruders within one week and preparing to start with Thud Ridge tonight I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to C-SAR.
I only got rudimentary knowledge about modern C-SAR (and what I know is all about Vietnam era) so it would be cool if some anon could help me a little bit.
So lets say a war breaks out between two equally stron adversaries (for example the US and China)
Bombing mission over some Target 150 inside china, the F15E gets shot down, both crew members hanging from their parachutes - WHAT NOW?
They're probably fucked

Because? I mean what are the pararescue jumpers for?

Please be kidding. You have to be trolling. That shit is almost as bad as those remingtons that have their entire barrels coated with polymer, I can't remember the model.

You don't know what fudd means.
Hey /k/, I'm having a bit of a problem with deer and other animals tramping my garden in my back yard that I grow vegetables. How would I create a trap that would kill the animal without a chance for them to run. Like a harpoon but smaller to keep them in place but kill them.
Something like this
>>33238484
Raccoon sized traps are at any hardware store. A deer trap is too big to feel comfortable with, plus it's a waste. I'd either try getting the blood scented sticks to keep deer away, or I'd set up in an elevated position with some cheap thermals on a rifle and wait. In my experience deer that haven't been shot at will not run even when you're close until you start gat blasting.
>>33238497
Well I want to use the meat from the deer, these fuckers have been doing this shit for years
In case of the apocalypse, would a 22LR hunting rifle be a suitable rifle to be turned into a modded pistol?
pic related.
>>33238455
go to bed
Keep the rifle and DIY your own semi-auto pistol.
That way, you don't have a bolt-action pistol, and you have a bolt-action rifle.
>>33238455
>the accuracy of 22lr out of a 3 inch barrel
>speed of a bolt action
We need more people like you in a SHTF scenario. You my friend, are what we would call a 'lootable body'.

Give me one reason why I shouldn't buy the MAWL
Because if your asking, and simply referring to it as a "laser" and "NVGs" (lmao) you can't afford it and don't know how to use it.
>>33238167
>College cuck thinks knowledge must come from (((institutions)))
It comes with instructions and the Internet exist
>>33238167
But it is a laser you use to aim NVG's. Should OP have said "an infrared illuminator/visible laser to aim my head mounted ambient light amplifier"?
My main preference is semi auto and 308. Open for anything else that's semi auto. Mainly just plan on going to the range with it. My Budget is around $1300
Springfield M1A?
>>33237965
I would never reccomend an ar15 to a first time gun buyer, but if you want a semi auto .308 maybe you have some experience and no guns of your own. If so id say get an ar10. Semi auto .308s are fun but they are not a great defensive firearm. For civilians Id reccomend a weapon that would be good for personal defense like a handgun or shotgun. So basically id reccomend a mossberg 500 and some buckshot first and then save your shelkels for an ar10 and some ammo
