Most troops buy new boots, slings etc because often the civilian versions are better than the issued, there is no fucking way SOF troops are short on vital medical equipment though.

Something about this just doesn't sound right.

On their front page, they have a disclaimer that 90% goes towards equipment to the troops, which is a number that could mean anything. It's just weird that our troops are "lacking protein in their diet and Troopsdirect was there OVERNIGHT" etc. I haven't heard about our troops going without essentials since Khe Sanh.

I am also monitoring this thread. Since I've read that starting out with a .22 to get good at the fundamentals will make you a good shot cheaper and faster.

It's not a bad round. It's a damn good pistol round really, it just doesn't have a unique place between calibers as it doesn't have enough energy difference from 9mm to justify the recoil and capacity, without just going up to 10mm. I like .40, I just wouldn't recommend it to lady shooters or new shooters
