What was your first gun. I shot my .22 marlin when I was 12. Still my favorite gun.
>>33702093
Mossman .410 magazine bolt shotgun when I was 8 or so.
>>33702093
Baikal made single shot 410 branded as Remington. Didn't realize until I was older how weird it was for Walmart to carry a Russian made shotgun.
1950 Model 94 I got for Christmas when I was in my early teens, 14 I think?

that's interesting and all but not how the factory tests thermal drift so as the guy said, it's just his finding not fact.
also, aluminium expands and contracts quite a bit to temp. change so it could just be an issue with the mount.
>takes off red dot and mount
>puts in dry ice
>puts back on rifle
gee I wonder why there is POI shift...

Why don't schools offer programs in weapons engineering? And what do weapon engineers usually study in uni?
>>33701971
mechanical engineering I'd guess
>>33701971
Mechanical engineering is the only valid answer if you're talking about firearms design.
>>33701971
Any of the stems honestly.
There's not an individual degree for any specific job plus "weapon engineer" is a broad field.
can tannerite be shot safely at a extended range indoor shooting range, I.E 100-200 yard ranges?
>>33701882
Are you fucking stupid?
>>33701882
Do it, post pics.
>>33701882
how much are we talking here? anything under 5 pounds simply isn't worth it indoors.
Would there be any advantage to using prop-driven planes with modern avionics for close air support and similar missions?

I'm in the US marines (graduated from boat) but I'm also a bolshivick
Is this a conflict of interest?
>>33701472
You see anon, that makes you retarded.nothing else.if it conflicted with your interest you wouldnt have joined in the first place.therefore you are not a true bolshevik
>>33701501
I did it because I am poor.
>>33701519
>Selling out your ideals for monetary gain
you are no Bolshevik
I would lik to own a DA/SA pistol and I think I want to buy pic related. Is there a better option for under $500?
>>33701384
SP2022 is pretty good, P-07 is also pretty nice.
Maybe a CZ or Beretta. Even used most of the boat anchors are pricey except something like a P250.
>>33701384
Police trade in sigs are a good start. But for new buys, you don't have a lot of choices, some of the CZ's, especially the polymer ones can be found close to that...if you can find any.
Got this gun for Christmas about 3 years ago and dear god I hate it. Jams if you put more than 7 rounds in it's 10 round mag, only shoots Winchester ammo with any reliability, is a bitch to disassemble, and has no aftermarket.
Did I get a dud or is this gun just shit-tier?
Also, gimme suggestions for a replacement. Is 10/22 the best way to go or are there other options?
The rifle itself is fine, it's the magazines that come with it that are known for being a total shit show - one of the few cases where aftermarket mags are actually a way better choice than factory mags. Treat yourself to a $25 replacement magazine and you'll be back in business.
>>33702628
there are no aftermarket magazines.
>>33701332
I just sold my 64 for 60 dollars. This gun is the shittiest semi-auto .22 there is. go with a 10/22...literally the only good .22 is a 10/22
So what is /k/ having for dinner?

Whatever my wife makes.
The Russians are switching their doctrines over from traditional mechanised combat to asymmetrical warfare. Originally, they favoured cheap, massed units to counter western over-engineering and relative lack of numbers, which worked out for them in WW2, and now they are making more expensive vehicles with modular armour and thermal sensors. I can't understand why they are switching over. What kind of conflicts do they think they are going to end up in?
>Switching to counterinsurgency doctrine
Gee I wonder what type of wars they expect
They're copying the west, like usual.
>>33701235
How does this doctrine make any sense? I mean sure, America being the world police and going into Muslim shitholes is understandable, but Russia? Shouldn't they be gearing up for war with China or America instead of doing the asymmetry thing?
So /k/ what do YOU want to see in a gunstore?
