ITT: The best all around EDC - How&What to carry and why?
Obviously the most practical CC is the one you will bring with you every day. That being said, inside the waistband in my opinion is uncomfortable and hard to forget about. No matter where the gun sits you will have pinch points, printing, and other uncomfortable settings. Another drawback is the two handed drawing (potential shirt untuck & unholster) or very slow one handedness.
Pocket carry has given me the most love, you tend to forget about it with relatively low printing whether it be shorts, T-Shirt, or shirtless.
Now, the other question is... Do we CC a Pistol or Revolver?
First and foremost a drawback to the revolver is capacity and reload time. We can only run 5-6 in a compact revolver. So unless you have a moonclip or speed loaders you may not keep the fight going or potentially have the firepower to suppress. In all honesty if we're carrying every day we don't want extra loaders in our pockets. That being said, if you do need that much ammo your strategy on using a conceal carry might be a bit iffy.
On the other hand a pistol is less reliable with a greater chance of jamming and catching a casing in the slide. We all know the debate of whether or not to chamber, or not to chamber and there are reasonable arguments on either side depending on the specific weapon but this also matters greatly for time to target. Grip also matters and can you hand an unracked weapon to a total noob?
I have carried compact H&K's Glocks, and snubnose airlights. Keep in mind this is an every day carry scenario, whether you're going to a wedding or hanging out at the beach. We're not looking for a specific occasion weapon, but the most well rounded EDC.
I believe it is a pocket carry snub nose revolver.
Revolver and holster of choice
I had to admit it, but yeah
>jack of all trades, master of none
which is what you want in a ccw, its just good enough if all fields that it fits all the bills perfectly
>light
>relativity cheap
>can be used or found anywhere, even in anti gun states
>perfect ratio of size to capacity
>probably the biggest aftermarket next to a 1911
granted, I can see it falling from grace in the next decade since everyone is copying them and will steal these basic prinicpals
>>33685654
If you hate striker fired, there are some compact CZs (75D compact, P-01, P-06) that offer much the same size and capacity in DA/SA.

Hi /k/, my 21st is coming up soon and i've been looking into some 9mm handguns to get myself, and narrowed it down to a Beretta 92FS, Walther P99, and CZ-75B. Which of these 3 would you say is best? This wouldn't be for conceal carry, just for the range (I have a Remington 870 and AR-15 for home defense). Open to suggestions but would prefer to stick around 9mm, with the exception of multi caliber handguns.

Second vote for cz75.
Why do faggots pretend the owner of a gun cannot modify their gun without using US made parts? Is this noguns or fudds expecting the ATF to conduct random checks on forigen looking guns at the range?
That image is exactly what I imagine the /k/ meet ups to be like.

The pop-culture about Soviet Weapons during the Cold War- and I talk both of small arms and war machines such as tanks and warplanes- is that they were rugged and reliable. Like all of them, supposedly, can take punishment, and seem to be able to still operate efficiently. That there is barely a badly designed soviet weapon system.
Is this true or is it a myth? Which weapons systems did the soviets built did suck dick in terms of reliability?
>>33683807
It has to be simple to operate (and by that definiton, rugged) because the average Russian is beyond stupid.
>>33683807
If I remember correctly the Soviets knew that their supply lines were shoddy at best and designed equipment to last as long as possible fresh parts. That said there's very little you can do to repair electronic equipment without resupply so chances are good the more advanced it is the more likely it is to break. Don't take my word for it of course, I don't have professional background.
>>33683807
Probably the ak has to be the wurst and most annoyingly shilled of all time. Rolled steel and Riveted EVERYTHING is a good runner up.
T. Mud test inrange for WASR
As of current the only claim to fame the AK has now is that it can last longer than an AR due to "muh chrome lining". Just because it had chromed parts doesn't mean it was supposed to last long. Chrome lining upped the service life of an Ak since no soldier would care to maintain their gun against the elements or the shit ammo the shat through it.
>B- but Ak is still just as ACCURATE
At normal engagement ranges yeah but Jesus Christ, A reciprocating piece of steel inline with the barrel is going to impart deflections at the point of firing to when the round exits the barrel.
I wanted to get a Zastava M76 because I have a ton of cases for 8mm and needed an actual sniper rifle not a DMR. Changed my mind on that piston though.
Off topic I wish savage still made the M99 or Winchester still made the M95.

is it possible to use vertically launched ASROCs for anti-shipping work? I know it's better to use anti-ship missiles like the Harpoon for that kind of work, but if the need arose can ASROCs be used for that job? will the tiny warhead on the torpedo even make a dent? do you need to modify the ASROC for it or can you just do it with the ASROC as it is now
>>33683650
>I know it's better to use anti-ship missiles like the Harpoon for that kind of work
... Is it?
Aren't hits below the waterline more devastating?
>if the need arose can ASROCs be used for that job?
Probably, albeit with limited range.
>>33683674
>Aren't hits below the waterline more devastating?
dunno, do you want your target to sink or just sit and burn for a while?
Russians probably could, Americans would have problems with red tape and that the designer was not paid to include that service so Congress should include budget so that the Military Industrial Complex can squeeze money out of it. Like modular buzzwords and putting special equipment on every port n shiieett.

I'm a skinny emofag and I carry and dress like a wigger and wear all black. I am wondering weather sheeple would more threatened by this if they noticed my CCW.
It seems like a lot of CCW holders are chads or husky rednecks
i'm a manlet asian
i'm not sure if people expect me to be carrying or assume i'm going to do some weird karate shit

Does your range allow "rapid fire"? Mine does not. (pic unrelated)
>>33682887

>>33682887
Not a single range 8 know of allows rapid fire.
However, since I'm a member at my local indoor; I can shoot 2 shots a second and they don't care.
Ever look at the ceiling of a indoor range?
You'll see why they don't allow rapid fire.
Pic is 7Yds fairly fast fire rate.
That has also been my experiences at most ranges. But I moved back home where the only range is run by fudds that think the only way to shoot is at 25 or 50 yards, one handed, à la bullseye. And if you do anything else you are unsafe and uncouth.
