Is there any manga artists that also do fine art or are they all strictly interested in manga art?
I have more respect for proffesional artists than /ic/ weebs as they take the time to actually learn and develop style.
>>2532718
Haha /VP/ are you serious?
If anything weebs belong there.

Illustrate an emotion without using any figures. Things like fear, hope, anger, happiness, etc. Be creative, this is a great exercise for composition, emotion (obviously), style, and more.
Pic related is a quick 5 min work of fear in PS.

I'm shit at this, but whatever.
Top is happiness, then anger and finally hope.
I find it amazing how graffiti artists know such little about typography despite their whole art form being based around it.
Most could not tell you what a Serif is or the difference between a font and a typeface.
How is this even possible?
You don't need to have formal education or be exactly bright to spray rad colors with your gang on some stinky street wall.
Btw same applies to other types of art, lots of people don't even bother or know that there is something like "fundamentals" which doesn't hinder their artistic career.

Who is this semen demon?
Here, have a sketch of Yoko I did this weekend. I'm looking specifically for a way to get exposure.
To summarize, I hadn't drawn since '06 and decided to pick it up back around christmas last year. I haven't had much luck getting my name out there since. The only community that has shown any interest at all in my art is furry. Any advice? Tumblr and deviant art seem completely dead in the water. Only thing I can think of is doing fanart of iconic anime cuties in the meantime.

Oh my bad. I went through the sticky but only saw advice on art itself. Thanks
hey ic i've got a question that I'm hoping that someone out there can answer for me, I'm currently trying to understand what I'm doing wrong when it comes to controlling my lines and i've checked multiple tutorials and videos on the subject but i can't seem to get the concept so any tips for a lost artist? also help with straight lines and the such would also be appreciated

Use your arm/shoulder more and wrist less. Use less strokes and practice making each line or curve you draw as accurate as possible.

If you're going to copy something try to get as close to reality as possible so that you can start to ingrain some real knowledge of anatomy and form
It's been over a decade, but I decided to jump right into painting again. I'm running into the same problem I did back then.
The problem I have run into is mixing and matching colors. I'm working on images of the oregon coast and seascapes. It's not tropical, the water is rarely blue. There's a lot of green, gray, and odd blues in the water.
I'm not sure how to go about mixing to get the right shades. Here's some reference photos, tell me what you would mix to get to the right shades.
You can see how varied the water pallet can get.
This really isn't art related perfectly but...what keeps you awake for those long drawing nights? I can't do coffee as I hate the taste.
>>2533420
>I can't do coffee as I hate the taste.
Coffee's an acquired taste. Buy a decent coffee and force yourself to drink it each day. Put in some milk and sugar to start, and after a couple weeks you will start to enjoy the taste. Eventually you can reduce or even cut out entirely the milk and sugar and then just drink it black.
Otherwise you can drink other caffeinated things like tea or soft drinks.
I sometimes get up and go for a walk too. It usually clears your head and wakes you up a bit plus has the bonus of giving you fresh eyes on your piece when you return.
Try Monster, Rockstar, 5-hour Energy, etc. There's plenty of options besides coffee.
>>2533420
you can also drink milk with sugar, or juices with a bit of alcohol, just to chill. If you need caffeine you can drink energetic drinks but that makes you even more sleepy after the main rush of caffeine kicks in. also chocolate or chocolate milk is good for night

Post some pornsites with good lighting.
BLACKED.com. Really great use of colors and the composition of each shot is just godly.

Kindgirls, used it for about 6 years now.
Mostly naturalistic imagery so the forms are understandable.
Sooo...... We've been asked as a final project in an art class to create a new art movement. I was thinking about something that would be sort of a combination of hyper-realism, surrealism and classical painting. However, that seems to be a stupid idea. I'm currently clueless and duno what to do. HELP! any ideas anons .....?? (P.S. OP is fag)
>>2533148
The real stupid thing is the project. You don't just come up with something on a whim like this. Art movements are organic, larger than one person, and the result of a lifetime of set beliefs/philosophies and tastes and are often in reaction to another existing movement. Also I don't think art movements are even really relevant anymore.
>>2533151
True I completely agree, however i will almost certainly get an F.
To be more specific the movement can be something funny as well.
I was recently thinking about a movement that would oppose internet/post-internet art.
>>2533155
>I was recently thinking about a movement that would oppose internet/post-internet art.
You can do something like this that opposes all the "advancements" in art and technology and just have it all go back to cave paintings
Hello /ic/, I know it's a bit much to ask but could anyone draw a motorcycle for me? Even if it's just a barebones sketch or doodle, I really want to show it to my father for his birthday but my drawing skills...leave something to be desired

Just finished making this backyard or garden sun. It's made of wrought iron and painted taracotta. Any feedback would be great too. Thanks
S.L.
Who would this shit in their garden is a better question..
>>2532425
kind of stuff you buy for garden decor at walmart or something like hobby lobby.
Someone who gets more pussy than a cheeto eating faggot troll like yourself. Prick.
I'm trying to get into drawing mytholigical creatures (mainly dragons) but I can't figure out how to go about actually doing it. All this loomis stuff seems to be about drawing mainly humans, and doing a simple leg with illiterave drawing doesn't help either. The only time when I can draw something decent is when I boot up ANB on my gamecube and draw screenshots of characters. I can never figure out how to get the character in the pose I want without copying parts from a ton of pictures, and even then It looks like shit. How the fuck do I go about doing this?
>>2532383
Ask the beginner thread.
>>2532383
spyro ps1 was shit to begin with. Every iteration since has gotten worse, and your drawing spyro shit from gamecube. kill yourself you child
