Doesn't look like Caesar to me. He had a pointier chin and longer nose.
I want to start drawing. How strong do I need my computer?

use paper
Depends on the hardware and software you want to use.
I use Clip Studio Paint Pro and a Wacom Bamboo Capture with a laptop that has 6gb RAM and a 2.5GHz i3 processer and it works fine

>Don't use a tablet to sketch for the longest time
>Wip out an ok gesture with pencil/paper in 2 mins
>Get pic related with same pose on a tablet
What is it about the tablet? Obviously people should draw digitally, is it the lack of friction?
Most people need somewhere from a couple hours to a week to get used to the dynamic of looking at the screen cursor when you draw. Also your lines aren't as confident as they should be (or as they are in the pencil sketch).

hahahaha
>lack of friction
thats easily solveable. i attached a paper from my sketchbook on top of my tablet so it feels much more natural. recently tried removing it - it still feels odd to draw on that non-friction shiny area.
I've been looking for the name of "this thing" for quite sometime, its like in the photo, but cut to look kinda sketchy SO YEAH, I DON'T FUCKING KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN, HELP
A-Ha take on me?

I don't think theres a name for it, seen adverts of the same thing on tv a long time ago.
rotoscoping??
A reporter snagged this shot of Emma watsons self portrait, years ago. No she doesn't just paint self portraits she apparently had an entire apartment full of her paintings and drawings as well as things she's collected. The reporter only felt like documenting this one bc it stuck out to him. Thoughts? I think its really good emma is talented. Shes also singing in beauty and the beast, in goblet of fire she sang briefly and it was very pleasant.
>>2518675
To add this was the only self portrait of hers I didn't make that clear
>>2518675
She needs Loomis. And my dick.
>>2518675
Its really weird to see a self portrait she did of herself because she's a face that artist's love to draw all the time. Its..really strange....but interesting. To see herself experience her own super-pretty face. I wish he would have documented more artwork by her, it would have been interesting to see.
But how did he get access to this anyway?

You lack any sort of understanding of the basics. Your diving into the center of the ocean and expecting to touch the bottom. Either learn to be happy with the level you are, are dive in and keep swimming down with us, starting with doing some studies from the sticky.
>>2525362
I can see you've got potential. The design is there, but you can get it out of your head correctly. As the previous anon said, what you need are the fundamentals. That is perspective, composition, etc. With fundamentals, you can do anything. Hit up the sticky and get working hard and do your designs too since those are important in keeping morale up as you see improvement in your image.
As for the bg, that's where the fundamentals come in too. It's more than that, but that's a start. You should really pick a theme and create a project from that and that will generally decide your background. Such as Rome, the Greeks or something.
thoughts on masahiro ito?
link to more of his stuff on the picture
fucking love that dude
>>2525552
OP here i was actually thinking the same thing when i was looking at his stuff lately since i have been drawing more and i had been on this big silent hill kick i decided to look up actual art of his work. i had seen some sketches of enemy designs but i hadnt seen like finished renders.
i love his work but i thought it did look a little bit amatureish. i sitll like it tho
Can someone help me finding where the proportions are wrong? i'm reading the "Keys to Drawing" book and i'm really strugling to understand what did i do wrong (if i did something wrong which obviosly i did since i'm a beginner).

Use your drawing instrument to measure her head. Then use 1 head as a unit to comparatively measure each other body part.

Give up and kill thyself? I think not.
Doesn't having your own style make you more unique?
>>2524817
It used to be a meme to make fun of shit tier artists who use "muh style" as excuse for objective flaws in their art, not conscious stylistic choices. Some elitists on /ic/ took that too far and act as if everything that isn't realism is "muh style".
But yeah, there's nothing wrong with having a recognizable style as long as your style isn't a cumulation of your own shortcomings and lack of knowledge.

Getting tired of this, I am beginning to doubt Photoshop's brush engine I thought it was just a meme at first but this is occurring too frequently. Any solutions to these jittery lines?
>>2525072
Just use Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop is a joke for inking
That's just you, I don't have any problem with lines on Photoshop.
>>2525074
I agree. Stick to photoshop for painting but doing fine line work is kinda iffy in PS.

>Prove me wrong.
Why?
This doesn't affect me or anyone else on this board in the slightest.
Convince us to care. Protip: you can't. Just another thing you're useless at.
So in July I'm gonna take a drawing exam to an art school (of course conventional still life on 70x50 cm paper). My problem is, as long as my drawings are good enough to pass it with at least 90%, I can't make it within these 2 hours that will be given for the whole piece.
Therefore, my question is - any tips, exercises, whatever to help me speed up?
>>2524728
most likely the time is set to be just right, if you need more than 2h to get it over 90, I doubt you actually can even with more time
>>2524734
I wanted to say that I'm just too slow, but ok, I couldn't expect more from this board
>>2524728
Set up a different random still life every day and draw it for two hours. Do this every day until the exam. After each session ends, walk away and come back in an hour to asses your work. As you see patterns in your inaccuracy or inefficiency, work on them. If you find after several attempts at self-correction and critical thought about your issues thy have not begun to improve, ask for very pointed specific advice. Do this every day. It should take you about 4 hours to complete the process. If you really want this you will do it.
