Make anything in MS Paint from memory.
I made a paprika.
I work exclusively in MS Paint
I'm probably hindering myself a great amount but every time I try to move to a 'better' program I just can't draw in them.
Am I the only one here that was heavily inspired to start drawing by Magic Cards? Goddamn, the illustrations from the early years were incredible.
Fucking, of course not.
Illustrating a magic card is my "made it" benchmark.
>>2532872
The newer ones got a lot "better" but lost all their character in the process. All new ones look so polished, generic and streamlined. Its sad really
>>2532890
Non digital magiccard artworks are really the best. I know as a kid I thought better and was a John Avon fan for his landscapes but now I know better.
alternatives to loomis for drawing faces?
i can't draw perfect circle, especially large ones. loomis just is not working for me.
>>2529675
an hero
>>2529675
Well some people just start drawing with the eyes when drawing large pieces so drawing a perfect circle isn't really necessary.
>>2529675
Git gud, m8.
how do you pick a name for yourself to go by online if you can't use your real name?
Hit the keyboard and see what you get. You can always change some parts to have it make sense.
>>2529537
Try and make it memorable. Like, I picked mine by figuring, well, I love space, and it sounds like the name of a NASA probe or something, (hence the "one") and there's a certain irony that comes with the story of Icarus. If all else fails, just use a nickname or make an anagram.
I have no advice since I picked mine when I was about 14 and its always been the same. But really, Google the name to see if its already something popular. Nothing worse than signing up on one website with a name and then trying to make accounts elsewhere, only they're all taken by one little twerp who abandoned them years ago.
does my drawing make you uncomfortable
>>2533902
Makes me kinda fucking horny.
:D
>>2533902
Oh my god, anon.
You have no idea how much that looks like someone I know.
If the depicted being were bald, it would look like a portrait of one of my neighbors lol.
A little, but I'm in awe of how well-rendered it is.
Is photography art?
According to /p/
no
>>2533375
No, art is the reality around us perceived by the human mind expressed in a variety of ways like drawings and sculptures.
A camera merely creates a near perfect depiction of the world and there is no human element to how it will look. (Unless of course photoshop is used in which case that may be art)
>>2533375
It can be. It's just a tool like anything else. In some people's hands pencil and paper can create art, in another person's hands it just leads to stick figures.
Lets play a game, draw what you see here and post a new shape. Try to make harder as it goes.

is that you, guy who used to always draw squidgirl in porn thread?
My mom just asked me to come up with a male dakimakura design for her friend's retirement party.
Help me feel less ashamed.
You know, I saw commissions of pokemon fury yaoi rimming, and I still think yours is worse.

>your mom
I'm not mad, that's pretty awesome if your mom want a custom dakimakura from you.

>30 years old
Do I still have enough neuroplasticity to git gud?
When I read literature or watch tutorials, I feel like the information really sticks well
>Been drawing with pencil most of my life, lately mostly charcoal based portraits
>Others have always told me I'm good at it, but I've kept it as a hobby so far
>>2529211
If you aren't working at 30, just quit. I had a friend irl who still wasn't in by 30 and I was better than he was when I was 22.
Understanding tutorials and being able to do work are not the same.
>>2529218
Art for me is still a hobby, I haven't been trying to make a career out of it, it's more for personal satisfaction. Career wise I fell for the STEM meme
>>2529233
How is STEM a meme?
Post finished masterpieces to even the smallest exercise you have done.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, There is a question thread for that.
Visit the usual "Art book Thread" to find your desired books. (Or look in the new sticky)
Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine.

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Hey everyone, I have come up with a character to draw but I want her to look suspicious. In all my drawings she looks either angry or sad. Is there a way to draw an old lady that is suspicious or even paranoid?
Thanks in advance for helping me out :)
I also need a pose that would be instantly readable as suspicious but i dont really know how to go about it... All help is appreciated!

Google how to draw suspicious faces.
Simples.
What's the best place to find an artist for neo-80s style commissions?
Probably tumblr. Look around, most artists have comm pages. Also, there'd be anons on here more than willing to do it if you provided more details.
>>2533256
thanks, I really have no idea about those websites and deviantart is my little pony: the site.
>Also, there'd be anons on here more than willing to do it if you provided more details.
I'm making music with my bro. We need art for track covers and to spam facebook (with +- 8k views range)

with a dolphin somewhere on his jacket
I am the worst art commissioner ever
and goes without saying I will pay for art, please be reasonable though

That's good info anon, but I meant more like an email address for people to contact haha.
