Is there any point for a hobbyist to stream while drawing even if they don't do commissions?
For fun, I guess?
If you enjoy interacting with people while you draw there's no real downside. Interacting with people who like your work is usually not a bad idea anyway, it builds a bit more of a personal connection and I've found (from observation, I don't stream myself) that people who watch streams and talk to artists are the most likely to be willing to commission you in the future.

Why do people ask these silly questions?

for building up a larger fanbase.
fans are fun, even if you don't want to make money with your art
>4 years of practice

And you hypocrites were telling that talent is just a meme

What type(s) of practice did you do? What was your starting point? How much time do you spend practicing each day?
try to find a different way to learn

I have all summers to get better. What should i study and what should my schedule look like?
I think you should draw a lot.

Oh, by the gods, I wasn't going to reply, then I say this.
Lemme just drop an image...
...
...
Done! Now, this image doesn't mean much on it's own, but it'll help you understand why you're doing what I'm about to prescribe. Namely, drawabox.com
This site will teach you the basics of all the things, so as you go through them, you'll be getting betterer and betterer. Assuming you do two lessons a week, it'll take you seven weeks to complete, then another 7 to re-do all of them just in case. Have fun!

I would say making a porn game. This is my current plan. But, I want to do 3D porn game.
Lets face it the 2D porn art is saturated as fuck. You need to be insanely good to get money unless you get lucky like Shadman.
But, if you can program and make a porn game you can get a lot of money. Also, it probably doesn't even need to be furry stuff.
Go on /vg/ now you will Katawa Shoujo, you will see Bioshock infinite. So much untapped potential and money to be made.
>>2532057
That is a meme. Lets face it a lot of artist aren't good, but they can draw the same face and get 10k on pateron every month.
Howdy, /ic/! So I was writing some stories the other day, and I fell for the "make your own game" meme. Basically, I've got 50€ on the side to invest in art, so I was wondering if any of you are down to do some --> paid <-- commissions.
I don't think this goes against the rules of this board, but I'm not sure. If anyone is interested we can discuss paymemt method and artwork :)
>>2531989
1. You could have written it all in drawthread or in promoting yourself thread.
2. There are also sites like ConceptArt or Upwork.
3. You haven't left your contact info.
4. You are too vague and meneing hard, nobody will actually give two shits about your "job advert".
>>2531996
Well. I thought someone would be down to draw for money. I guess I'll go to one of those websites then
>>2531996
Don't be a cunt, the guy is willing to pay for something and there are plenty of people around happy to get paid.
Considering /ic/ constantly bumps the shit out of people asking for free art with "whatre you paying ;)" and this guy actually gave a price-point, he's already a step ahead of the average.
better than the figuarts kun
it's your money m8
but honestly you could just download a virtual 3D model that looks just like it

How hard/easy is it to get into watercolor? I was thinking of dropping about $35 AUD +shipping into link below, provided it's not fake.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ZIG-Kuretake-Gansai-Tambi-Japanese-Watercolor-Paint-36-Colors-Set-MC20-36V-/271628148268
Watercolor is the easiest to learn, but one of the hardest to master. Just put some water on your brush, dip it in paint, and you get exactly what you expect to. It blends very well, but depending on how wet it is, often too well. A huge part is learning how to let the paint do what it wants. Also, you MUST use watercolor paper or it'll warp (or even dissolve).
>>2532903
I think Watercolor is a pretty difficult medium to start with. However its not expensive. Is that a lot of money for you? Then don't do it.
Watercolor is very easy, even babies can do it. But doing masterful watercolorful pieces is stupid hard.
The left one shows
"1 better elipses and perspective om all parts
2 better values on certain parts
3 shapes and volumes better overall"
than the right.
YAY or NAY

They're both shit. Left tits are way too high.
Not sure if you're the original artist behind it but.
Left has much worse rendering, a much less appealing face and stylization, tits too high as >>2532768 said and a much sloppier background. It is overall less tight and there is not as much variation in how the different materials are rendered.

You got rekt by Sakimi. I like how you removed the color and its still not a comparison.
hey /ic/
anybody knows where to grab a good collection of classical painters works?
Something where each artist would be in a folder, with a decent coverage of his output, and decent quality files?
Something of the same effect would be a script to download an author's work on wikiart, but god this site looks horribly done.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lighting or no lighting?
For my animation I'm going for a flat MSpaint kind of feel. I like the lighting but think it takes too much away from the style.
Any ideas for a better way of lighting? I'm using Toon Boom.
>>2526592
I would do without "lighting". I can't imagine those gradients look very good when it's animated either.
>>2526592
Can I see it in motion?

There was a reccomended book titled, "Anatomy for the Artist," is this the right one?
>>2532151
>nigger on the cover
I don't think so.
It's a good starting point, though the drawings of the muscles are somewhat stylized and inconsistent. It includes some master studies of paintings and breaks down their use of anatomy, which is kind of interesting. A book I would probably recommend over this one is Valerie Winslow's Human Anatomy, which overall just has more information and more accurate drawings.
>>2532151
Don't think that's the same book, OP. 2bh I bought Anatomy for the Artist and barely read it, though it does have a lot of useful info.
I've found that just printing out reference pics I've found online, and taping them on my wall is much better for learning things than reading tons of pages of a book.
If one is creating a comic with the planned length and style of a graphic novel, where would one sell/advertise said comic? Are free comic platforms like webtoon a good idea? Is pitching said comic to a publisher viable?
>>2530798
You can always pitch it, you'll always lose if you don't try. You could try some kind of guerilla marketing, publish it yourself or whatever. Use social media, as much as I may hate it. Free web platforms should be avoided, I think. Only a select few make serious money off this.
>>2530805
Thanks. I've been thinking about some different shit like offering 1 or 2 chapters for free on a website and the rest for sale, maybe on print. I haven't a clue if this would work or not.
>>2530798
Publishers gets hundreds of shitty comics that go in the trash every week. You have to make contacts.
I want to achieve lines with a look like this. Crisp but kinda have a thickness to them. I just want that tattoo like appeal but on regular paper. Can anyone recommend me art supplies for this or should microns be sufficient?
Micron or any ultra fineline marker, best I can find in my area is Staedler Fine Point Markers
>>2529634
This, but practice with cheaper pen style sharpies. Like in order to get clean lines. You have to spend lots of time just drawing shapes and lines. Like doing scales on a guitar.
i like these
