any advice for someone with a wacom medium pro tablet who finds it too small?
do you think a large version will fix my problem or do I need an even bigger cintique?
I'm spamming Ctrl+Z in photoshop because 80% of the time strokes don't come out as I intend them to
I can't get used to it, only precision mode helps which I refuse to use
and zooming in too but then I lose sight of the bigger picture
(pic not my art)
how big is your monitor?
>>2944957
24 inches
I have a tv too though connected to my pc but I usually draw on my monitor
Get an Intuos Large.
Get a <=20-inch monitor for art.
Use your current oversized monitor for your multimedia/web browsing etc.
It's not about whether or not you're drawing on a screen, it's to what degree the size of your drawing surface is congruent with your screen's surface area.
The Intuos Medium is a piece of trash that belongs in a landfill to be 2bh famalam

First time using this board, didn't know it existed. What do you think? Anything I could improve upon?

check the catalog before starting a new thread
you usually have to post in either one of the main threads to share your work (beginner thread, alternative...)

When do kids grow out of wanting to draw anime?
>>2942978
it depends
some grow into it
Why do you care?
>>2942978
Same age kids grow out of their anti anime-based superiority complex. So it depends I guess. Most grow out of it during highschool, but clearly we have lots of 20 something year olds on this board who still have this complex.
>working a comic for months
>Watch relatively popular tv show
>One of the fucking main characters looks and feels painfully similar to the OC main character of my comic
>working a comic for months
>at some point become convinced you "stole" not just a character, but entire scenes with the character from somewhere, but you don't know where from or even if you really did
That's inevitable, OP. If it's really that similar, think of minor ways you can change your character, especially visually. There's only so many personalities you can do, and only so many designs you can do, but together you have nigh infinite possibilities. You're always going to have something similar to something else, but as long as it's not exactly the same no one can really complain. Sometimes people even like it, hence all the crossover stuff out there.
[spoilertagson/ic/]One of my characters is rather like Star Butterfly, but after worrying about it for a while, I realized they're really not as close as I first thought and just kept going.[/spoiler]
just make 'em black. works every time
So I've made a couple of animations, the first I've ever done, and wanted to hear /ic/'s take on them.
If you'd like to post your own animations, or just animation you like, please do.
Here's my first one.
Here's the second, a very stereotypical bouncing ball.
>>2937615
You have the contour of the contact position eclipsing the "down" which is a big no-no even if it's only a few pixels. Fix that and it's a pretty decent bounce.

Thanks!
Does somebody know what this is?
Years ago I went on a school trip in London and a very kind old man gave it to me, I didn't speak english very well at the time so I couldn't understand the details about it, could anyone enlight me please?
>>2944422
it's about sailing in pussy young man
Well it looks like something you would display on a wall, it's probably supposed to be framed. Lines from the poem don't return anything in Google so it's pretty obscure, and the poet doesn't seem to exist either. It's obviously been made after 1975 since it says the poet died then. I doubt it's worth anything. The Cutty Sark was/is a pretty famous British tea clipper, one of the fastest ever made, still on display in England today.
So /ic/
Im looking for the the Kim Jung Gi Sketchbooks, so i would really appreciate if someone could put the download link into this thread.

Could an artist create an entire movement on their own in today's world? Artistically, Culturally, and Politically.
What if it was already happening?
>>2941296
Sakimichan, Spherochromatism.
>>2941298
you have no idea what an art movement is do you
>>2941314
neither does Op.
Any movement you do nowadays will be a subsidiary of a larger movement, a branch of the tree.
Take the alt right, it's made up of classical liberals, full Zionists, anti semite nationalists, all the way to full fourth reich naziboos. All of them wanted to start their own movement.
It is better to do your own research, network with people with similar views, and establish yourself as connected with these dudes. Earn their respect and be true to yourself and people shall flock to you.

Do you think 3d animation will ever be good enough to mimic 2d animation perfectly?
>>2938590
What the fuck does that even mean? They're two entirely different types of media. If you want to perfectly mimic 2D, fucking use 2D
>>2938590
didn't the newest guilty gear try that and succeed spectacularly?

I am entranced by the way Heironymous Bosch portrays the human form, especially the female form. Does anyone know where I can find more like this?

Your lines are really sloppy. Use a stencil for the circle as well.
That text at the bottom is done really poorly and the anatomy seems pretty fucked, especially the hands. Those fingers look destroyed.
Overall draw cleaner lines/shapes and learn anatomy.
>>2940626
well , the thing is i take as much drugs as i can , and do whatever i can under 1 hour , if you want you can try it , is a fun challange
