What is /ic's thoughts on the future of automated arts, specifically in the movie industry, such as animations?
Many sites and studies suggest that the artistic fields are incredibly unlikely to be replaced (around 0.3 - 3% within next 20 years), but with the advancements of certain programs and fields (Adobe Character animator), automation and deep AI learning seems like an ever looming threat above an animators head.
Discuss fears, questions, concerns, or maybe just try to make each other feel better.

nope, not for hundreds of years
Nah, I don't see art automation happening soon.

Odds are it'll never happen, and even if it does, it'll be very limited and only help speed up the process.
Either way -
I WELCOME OUR QT ANDROID ASSISTANTS
is it because of the lighting and color tone are too bright? or because the lack of dark value?
I feel that i can use alot more dark shadow.
This one should have a higher def
Cause it's shit, you can't draw, and you're 14 at best.
It's because the underlying anatomy and proportions/construction aka the actual drawing part looks like shit. As the saying goes, you're polishing a turd
Who else here only draws as a hobby and its not really pursuing art as a career?
Only you, you fucking snowflake
>>2941235
drawing is a pretty shitty hobby tbqh.

>He doesn't wants to make it.
Not gonna make it.
Does anyone else not save any of thier work? I'm not proud of anything I make so digital files I don't save unless I plan to work on it later and traditional drawings go into the trash when the sketchbook is full.
>>2940959
You don't have to be proud of something to keep it
I regret not saving everything I've ever made
>>2940959
That's really the kind of thing you don't leave up to your emotions.
Solo dolos got to live by rules. And one important rule is to save everything you make.
Just finished putting this together, any advice or criticism is appreciated. It's basically two videos playing at the same time, alternating frames.

Shame your prose is so shite, I almost felt somthing since that's such a relatable feel.
Is there a name for this sort of overly simplified, traced art style? I'd like to look up some sort of guide on how to make this sort of art but i don't know how to look it up.
Well as you say, it's simply "traced".
Or may be referred to, alternatively, as shit.
>>2940676
That dubs looks kinda comicbooky
Just say rhotoscoped or whatever
Tattooists just call it a stencil. Probably a trace of a photo. These are probably cheap tattoos like 50 a piece.
Hi.
Does anyone have a reference collection of people, naked or clothed, that look natural. I just have no idea where to fucking find shit on the internet. All the shit is just fake stock photos of super happy looking people

This picture always freaked me out. It's a self portrait drawn by a schizophrenic. I have acute schizophrenia, and sometimes I get paranoid that life is all just a simulation so that's part of the reason, but it's just unsettling to me in general too.
>>2937363
Holy shit that is scary

Some furry artist got a cease and desist order from Dreamworks a while back for drawing Spirt: Stallion of the Cimarron porn so it's a possibility.
I'm well aware that my art blows but can I get some advice on how to improve this one?
your art doesnt blow it sucks
>>2934164
It's impossible to really give you advice besides "read the sticky, start learning fundamentals" because the only way to improve this would be to start it over completely. Every part of it is bad.
Learn how to break this down into simpler shapes and learn some anatomy (or at least look at your own hands jeez those hands).
Also, don't make your own thread for your art. There are generals for that
>>2934164
God, I'm so glad i'm out of the "its terrible but i cant improve it" zone
>>2936573

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jA5tG5RCX0 why is H.C Brown such an untalented, pompous cunt?
no really. how can someone know so little about art and become so popular?
does she not even understand why people study other artists work?
god every time i hear her smugly explain some bullshit i get so fucking annoyed.
She's basically half of /ic/ imo
People who talk a lot of shit but don't produce good results themselves. I guess she has an "excuse" to do the shit she does because she is often self-deprecating.
>>2932391
Why are you so jealous?
>>2932397
how the fuck could someone be jealous of a salty, nasty cunt who doesnt know how to draw even after declaring it her life focus? try harder retard

Hello /ic/, please give me your thoughts on this chart I just made. I'd like to know if there's anything wrong with it. Pardon if there's any spelling mistakes.
I would like instructions to be honest. I like the idea, but I don't really know what to do.
>>2940067
i suppose it looks alright, it's a very complex way of describing something pretty simple in practice though
>>2940067
Unless you are creating some software that paints shit on its own, you just wasted a lot of fucking time that you could have just put your flowchart to practice.
Looks alright by the way.
Interstingly colours moving "away" from green is a new angle i hadnt looked at that way yet, thanks for that insight desu
Is graphic design different from regular drawing? as in do I have to learn a completely different set of skills?
I'm already pretty shit at just regular sketching, so I wanted to know.
Is beatboxing completely different from regular singing?
>>2939208
Y-Yes?
>>2939205
Graphic design skills actually help with drawing. As name suggests, you are focusing on good practices and being anal about most minor shit like curvature of some letter - just kidding (not really) - graphic design puts emphasis on important stuff that beginner painters/artist rarely think about like good communication with audience, delivering clear message etc.
It helps you as a artist, but you need to learn very different stuff than what /ic/ preaches - which can be only good.
