WIP of the first page of a comic I'm working on. It's gonna be a gritty yet not too serious superhero comic.
Before i go any further would like some feedback.
>>2941149
How's it going to look on a standard page?
>>2941149
Images in the first panel are needlessly detailed since it's so small they can't be readable. Try to simplify them. In the second panel hand should be gripping more tightly. Needs more background.
>>2941149
It also feels flat. Black Stripes don't function as folds at all, they hardly represent the form.
Oh boy, I hope I'm not breaking any board rules...
Has anyone here used ArtStation? I'm building up the artwork for a nascent Kickstarter project, and I'm looking to make the leap from the uneven workmanship of Fiverr to the stolid dependability of ArtStation, however I'm a little bit overwhelmed by all the flashy corporate logos and the wall between you and the artist.
I've used the 'Hire Me' button to propose Freelance gigs to a couple of dudes, both of whom I assessed as being within my league, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Admittedly, it has been less than 24 hours, but I just went looking for an inbox to check, and couldn't find one. I assume any reply will be forwarded to my email account, but right now I'm feeling very old and confused.
So how is ArtStation from a sellers perspective? Does anyone have trouble with it, or has anyone heard any salacious gossip about it? Is there a third, better option beyond Fiverr and ArtStation?
And just to keep this from being a mono-topic thread: If you sell your artwork, where do you do it? Preferred websites? Darkweb commissions?
>>2939559
Artstation is still largely a professional site even if DeviantArt shitters have started making it in.
If the artists you're contacting are in any way skilful they're not going to work for Fiverr rates, they'll want industry standard freelance pay. Unless you're willing to offer that, stop bothering them.
The best and utter premium is having your own website.
ArtStation though is good. Probably the best platform to use currently IF you are interested in the concept art / animation / entertainment design illustration side of the industry. Though I have never received a commission through it and have no intention of using it as a "selling" platform.
Whats the difference between artstation and deviantart?
>put in 4ish years
>still not that good

So I'm new to drawing tablets and know absolutely nothing about them yet would like to buy the Huion NEW 1060 PLUS. Is it any good? Any upsides and, more importantly, downsides?
Also, are there any particular system requirements for these things? All I own is a rather weak notebook with barely any space on it, would that pose a problem?
Anything else I should take into consideration? Keep in mind I have absolutely no experience with any of this.
It's not worth the investment for a model. Just look up pictures, drawing tablets isn't hard.
I have this tablet, works fine on my 4 year old laptop and desktop. No problems with the tablet or the drivers so far.
The model you buy will have either a 4gb or 8gb sd card. The graphics software would be less than 1gb so you'll be good on space.
The only bottleneck is whether your notebook is able to run your graphics software without lagging. It sucks using shitty integrated graphics cards for large paintings.
>>2941976
Alright, thanks!
What's the graphics software in question? I'd like to look it up to see if there are any system requirements.
Trying to find some specific surrealist art/artists.
There was a thread on /v/ ages ago that started as a Giger and surreal thread and branched out into some other stuff. One image I recall had a dark red brown tint and was just spanning fields of tall towers, another was a deep chasm with giant statues carved into the walls, it looked very foreboding.
The last one I can't find was black and white I believe and was a very small staircase off to one side with a door at the top and an endless pit of black below. If anyone could help me find these images and the artists I'd really appreciate it, they stuck out in my mind and I found them pretty cool.

I've been trying to figure out which artist is better. Their skills sets are pretty similar they can both transition from anime to realism and have good visual libraries.
INB4 quit comparing artists. I think comparing good artists is a good way to figure out what qualities really stand out to you which in turn will help give you a direction for improvement.
GO!
Mark Crilley teaches you the ins and outs of the anime style even though he doesn't the best style at it, he's got the design all right.
>>2941632
I'll give you guys an image to base your comparisons on. Obviously they produce outstanding work, but tell me /ic/ which one is the most gifted?
>>2941640
You literally picked like the worse sycra drawing.
lmao
Why wasn't Bob Ross ever interested in any serious painting techniques?
He wanted to actually enjoy painting.
>>2937331
painting into couch is a serious painting technique, although it's historically used for fresco.
>it's a fucktard questioning Bob Ross's artistic legitimacy: the thread
Lol k
