This is something that apparently so few people do that it isn't even Googled.
That is, conjugating the English word "reach" into the past participle form "roach" rather than "reached."
Up until I was in my mid-teens I didn't know it wasn't how it was said, and even to this day I use the word in both writing and speaking without anybody seemingly batting an eye. When I mention it it will usually draw surprise.
What does /his/ think of this conjugation?
>>2289604
Does anyone else use it where you live?
>>2289634
In Appalachia I have heard it from time to time. I believe my grandparents use it.
>>2289604
Archaic and limited to regional dialects.
I think it's weirder that a lot of languages (including English) dont have a second person plural.
Latam Spanish doesn't, all English speakers but Southerners and some Midwesterners don't.
ITT I post funny pictures of the Founding Fathers - signers of the Constitution, Declaration, etc.

Let's settle it once and for all: Habsburgs or Bourbons?

I'd go Bourbons for the French titillation.
What are some very specific events and historical developments that contributed to this now problematic unstable, nationalist, and anti-west state of the Middle East?
>>2289495
The Iranian Revolution basically started it.
>>2289495
The spread of Islam
>>2289495
The establishment of Western model armies with officers trained in Europe at a time when nationalism was spreading like wildfire.
The consolidation of several Ottoman provinces into large states with one region declared supreme over all others.
Rapid urbanization and population growth due to the green revolution creating economic problems.
Proxy wars fought between the US and Russia, and also Saudi Arabia and Iran.
How do we fix the world, /his/?

Is Jesus (Rabbi Yeshua Ben Yosef) the greatest human to ever live?
>has achieved more in life or death, even today, than anybody else
>conquered continents--in spirit
>as a single man has given more to modern western culture than any other individual --perhaps even more than ancient Greece
>you should be very happy to live in a country where his teachings are so widespread
>he turned an unimaginably tribalistic world into one where great and enduring nations could form and be brothers in christ
>was clearly very intelligent, wise, forward-thinking even without any of the miraculous bullshit.
>inspired, and continues to, some of the most beautiful art in history.
Is any other human even comparable. Buddha is pretty legit, but I do not think his glory stands up to that of Jesus. I am not religious, but I cannot contain just how based and glorious I think this one man was.

Probably, yeah. I don't even follow his teachings, but he had more of an effect - and a net positive effect - on the world than any other person.

Why does the Gospel of John simultaneously deny and affirm the trinity?
Is there any support for it in the synoptics?
Also on the topic of John what does the "disciple whom Jesus loved" mean? Boipucci?
>>2289094
What verses deny the trinity?
>>2290066
>VERSES THAT DENIED TRINITY(1/2)
Jesus HIMSELF said:
John 14:48 :
...My Father is greater than I
John 10:29:
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all...
John 5:30
I can of mine own self do nothing....
Johh 5:30 clearly implies Jesus does not possess the quality of God. God can do everything.
Matthew 24:36:
"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
This verse is talking about doomsday. This clearly state that Jesus(Son) doesn't know when is doomsday. God know everything, but Jesus doesn't know everything.
>>2290245
>>2290066
>VERSES THAT DENIED TRINITY(2/2)
Mark 10:18
"And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.
Jesus, according to him, are not even worthy to be called good. Much less a god.
Mark 12:29
"Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.
The Trinity concept is refuted by Jesus.
John 5:31
"If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid.
If Jesus is god, then how come he CANNOT testify his own testimony?
Isaiah 11:2-3
2. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him (Jesus)-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the FEAR OF THE LORD
3. and he will delight in the fear of the LORD....
'God'(Jesus) fearing another God(Father)? Nonsense.
ACCORDING TO YOU CHRISTIANS, Jesus was begotten by God, which literally means he has a beginning. Thus he is not God, for God has no beginning.

East Asians are the worst posters in every single imageboard.
Guys, I've thought about this question for a while, and with everything that has been happening both now and in the past I can't think of a better time to post it.
For once, no shitposting, bait, or circle jerk. So, what do you think the founding fathers would have thought of what the US has become? (Take everything into account. From the population, immigration, military, and economy)
>>2289043
They would've thought it was great being no. 1 nation but subhuman immigrants would've been a huge turn off for them.
>>2289810
Actually this. America being #1 would tickle their fancy, but they would get sickened seeing the race relations in the country
>>2289043
These people were smart enough to conceive of some future state of affairs that might be more benighted and duller for the influence of racial admixture. And so perhaps they might have privately considered some diminished future America, exactly because they were also students of history, and knew a bit about Rome, etc.
Still, to use an old excusing chestnut, they were trapped in their immediate circumstances, and wanted to try something new, according to a protestant and new philosophical sensibility. I am happy that they did. But obviously the race thing is baked in to the whole country, sadly.
As for other cultural degeneracy, some of them might have privately conceived of a world of BDSM sex dungeons and private infamies - they did mostly own slaves, and the Marquis de Sade was their contemporary. But they had to maintain appearances. Sade at least proves that a very particular and private form of modern degeneracy was at least imaginable back then, to the late 18th century mind.
I don't believe, for example, that the late 18th century American mind had much conception of what we now regard as SJWs, beyond some general conception of sensitive, whining, effeminite, unpleasant people.
I think one purpose of the OP's is to transport a founder to today's world, and hear them say, "I didn't sign up for this shit." This might be quite right.
Perhaps the OP has a negative opinion of Trump, whose verbage is objectively inferior, and I did enthusiastically vote for him.
How many humans existed throughout history and current times?
alot
woow that's crazy to think about ;)
>>2289028
Since we became modern humans ~100,000 years ago, there have been roughly 100 billion humans.
Too many
i mean they didn't do anything besides war
they were extreme savages

They created trade networks across Europe and beyond.
Extreme savages who were skilled ship builders, their naval prowess kick started global trade.
They connected people, they helped to spread Christianity to the far flung edges of their trade world.

Some of the greatest explorers to have ever lived and also suprisingly good merchants.
Their military history is kind of shit though. They tend to get their ass handed to them unless they're butchering peasents. They still have a few significant victories here and there.

So Barbarians who knew how to make ships. Got it.
What happened to the progressive movement in the United States?
It seems that the American left currently focuses primarily on social issues, while abandoning its traditional positions on economics and labor in favor of a more neoliberal approach.
Pic related are a symptom of this phenomenon, but I believe the cause lies much farther back.
As a result of this, it seems that much of the Democratic Party's traditional base has shifted to the GOP, based largely on the "social conservatism" of the latter.
>>2288913
When the face of progressive turned how to be cutting off your penis and killing the unborn, it didn't turn out to be that progressives to the normies after all.
>>2288948
When the face of the Progressive turned out to be cutting off your penis, and killing the unborn, it didn't turn out to be that progressive after all.
> cut off penis
> progressive
> kill the unborn
> progressive
The Democrats know which way the demographic wind is blowing, they're basically deciding to become an equivalent of the Africa national Congress, that's why you see Mohamed marching with Pedro the illegal marching with the black transexual, once all the white boomers party politics will simply align along racial lines with surprise surprise the Republicans being the white man's party and the Democrats being for everyone else.
