Can we discuss history of immigration in America. Do we really need more immigrants?

Each and every time the U.S. has banned immigrants, it has ALWAYS been looked down upon later in history. I don't even know WHY this anti-immigrant rhetoric has come up.

Once planetary overpopulation becomes a concern, immigration is a moot point. If you are smart enough to attend harvard or yale, you are smart enough to construct a harvard or yale in your own nation, and you should get right to it.

yea military history from that period is awesome, so i'd recommend it as well. the military revolution has become a very contested idea though, so op should keep that in mind.
