I'm convinced the only 18th century Frenchman who wasn't a complete and utter faggot was de Maistre.
Rousseau?
What exactly did they mean by this?
>liberal
That word is fucking loaded as shit.
>>2285839
So you're telling me, the Crown loving loyalists, the conservatives of that time period in America, who fought against the patriots, a revolutionary band of LIBERALS, is completely wrong?
>>2285844
I think he just means that liberal by the standards of their time was completely different from liberal by today's standards.
When was the end for this guy?

Plebian answer: Invading Russia
Pseudo-elitist answer: Attempting to form a long term alliance with Russia in the first place
Patrician answer: It was inevitable after Trafalgar

Through direct military action it was Leipzig, but otherwise it was 1812

When will it start to be acceptable for anthropologists to be autistic like this again?
You know we all want it.
>>2285754
Some years back there used to be a lot of forums dedicated to physical anthropology and classification.
That meme faded I think.
>>2285784
Theapricity?
>>2285787
Apricity used to be a White prider forum but then the owner realized he likes non-White women and Turkish culture too much for that.
I'm talking about ForumBiodiversity in it's early days and the original ABF which was the predecessor of it.
They used to be filled with people obsessed with physical anthropology.
Ive had a nagging question for awile ive been having trouble finding an answer for. What was the beginning of the english language as we know it. Like how far could I go back in time and still speak on a basic level with other "english" speakers? 5th century? 11th? When?
Depends on what you mean but you might be able to get by with late Middle english, circa 1400's
It's still different than modern english but you can see the similarities.
Early Modern English started in the 1600's (pic related is 1609) and Modern English is then seen in the late 1700 to 1800s.
>>2285753
There is old english, middle english, and modern english, I think that story canterbury tales was in middle english

Were Roman looked the same like modern Italian?
>>2285665
no
>>2285665
Caesar described himself and his nation as noticably shorter than the Gauls (which made fun of them because lol manlets)
>>2285665
Of course Roman looked the same like modern Italian. Modern Italian be come from children descended Romans. There some immigration, like descended Huns or other Europe, and small same like North Africans, but likewise modern all countries have traits foreign. Ultimately, same like modern Italian be closest Roman plebian class
Why isn't Polk more highly regarded? I mean it seems like he accomplished a lot in terms of expanding the US and all within a single term before resigning.
>started a war with Mexico because he was bored
Granted, that's what our current administration is doing but still.
Basically the sketchy methods he used to get all that territory. Also I'd say the average person probably can't name any of the presidents between Jefferson and Lincoln anyway.
Personally, I think Polk is fucking awesome.
>>2285662
Literally everyone who knows about Polk rates him highly.
I finally thought of where the krauts came from
They came from Doggerland
>>2285641
I'm pretty sure doggoland was almost completely submerged by the time indo-europeans began to spread through Europe. Krauts descend from South-Scandinavian proto-Germanics btw.
>>2285641
No they didn't. What's with the fucking Doggerland obsession?
Germanics are heavily Middle Eastern people, they came from Beirut and the Caucasus.
The memes that Germanic and Celtic people have European origins has been debunked years ago.
A better case could be made for Saami people having Doggerlandic origins but that's hypothetical until there's ancient DNA from Britain.
>>2285647
Forgot pic
>>2285648
>Germanics are heavily Middle Eastern people, they came from Beirut and the Caucasus.
Idk about this my man, the germanics don't have Middle Eastern origins as far as I know, although their ancestors did come from the Caucasian steppes, their ancestors mind you, not themselves.
>A better case could be made for Saami people having Doggerlandic origin
The Sami are Uralic people who migrated into Europe around the same time as PIE people, they weren't even in Scandinavia before the Norse.

>>2285542
It's like 5 times the length. Leviticus has enough boring crap to equal pretty much the entirety of the NT.
>>2285542
Ecclesiastes is LITERALLY a Jew kvetching.
When did Art die?
Who killed it?
Art died in the Medieval ages when it became mass produced fetish items, completely devoid of inspiration.
It was only revived by impressionism.
>>2285521
Why are people so vain that they only care about the art that winds up on exhibits. You have access to more art than anyone in history thanks to interest and ease of travel and yet you still complain because you disagree with a few art exhibits. Find art that you can appreciate and shut up.
>>2285521
>Who killed it?
It was me! *twirls mustaches* Mwhahahaha
Is it unethical to smoke cigarettes?
No.
Next question.
>>2285495
Is it ethical in a positive sense, then?
>>2285493
Do you consider quickening your death at the expense of temporary relief to be immoral? That is the essence of the question.
Why is suicide bad?
>>2285313
Because we need you alive to slave away at work
>>2285313
It's murder.
