Depends on what you mean but you might be able to get by with late Middle english, circa 1400's

It's still different than modern english but you can see the similarities.

Early Modern English started in the 1600's (pic related is 1609) and Modern English is then seen in the late 1700 to 1800s.

Germanics are heavily Middle Eastern people, they came from Beirut and the Caucasus.
The memes that Germanic and Celtic people have European origins has been debunked years ago.
A better case could be made for Saami people having Doggerlandic origins but that's hypothetical until there's ancient DNA from Britain.
