I hate this new flat design bullshit. At least you can change the colors and stuff on Android. iOS is worse because you're stuck with whatever shit they preinstall.
Why is /g/ so upset about Microsoft spyware. Boohoo some pajeet over at Microsoft is going to see your gay porn collection, what a shame...

>tfw I feel for the Note 4 meme
The worst of both worlds. "Worked" for about a month, then just when I figured out how to use the damn thing the battery starts going to shit and it runs slower than my old iPhone 4. Looked everywhere and tried everything and it's still just a shitty phone.
Message to all of /g/: DON'T BUY THE NOTE 4, IT'S ABSOLUTE GARBAGE

Hey guys,
bonjour pajeet,
which node.js cms do you use?
keystone looks good, i don;t have any knowledge about hatch or pencilblue...

What is /g/ opinion on this half assed build?
I need >4TB of storage and was thinking of using a ZFS pool with FreeNAS.
ATM I'm using just a bunch of crappy PCI SATA cards that keep giving me problems, so I decided to get rid of them and make a proper storage-only dedicated build, to be mounted via NFS on another server.

where do i even start, overall i think your build is shit

you do not need an SSD to run freenas off of, a usb 2.0 thumb drive is fine
>Phanteks Enthoo Pro M ATX Mid Tower Case
looks fine
>EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
if this is going to be on 24/7 i highly suggest getting either gold or platinum certified, wastes less energy and pays for itself
it's really easy to go overboard and pay too much, which you are clearly not doing here, but at least start with some proper components
I've been using 4GB Patch on practically all my programs.
Is it gonna improve my experience or is it placebo?

Hello /g/, I ordered the Samsung Gear Fit2 small like a week ago and it should arrive sometime this week.
Only the thing is that it isn't compatible with PC, Mac OS, iOS. It's only compatible with Android 4.4 phones with 1.5 GB of ram or higher.
And Samsung Galaxy phones with android 4.3 + I ordered it anyway because it's so much better and more stylish than any other sports GPS watch. I just wanted to know if any of you bought a Gear Fit2 and if it's usable with something like Remix OS / Android x86.
I mainly care about the updates and GPS updates for quick fix technology. Not so much as reading the statistics on a larger screen. Although it would be nice.

I'm writing a code to compute some equations to me and output it, ok...
But i'm getting this strange mystical number -0 in 2 of the coordinates, is that possible ? Does it mean something ? Like when we have these lots of random numbers and it means that you are accessing a not allowed memory.
Thanks a lot.

Looking for a monitor ~<$200, lower the better.
Currently looking at the Dell S2415H, however I'm not a huge fan of the glossy panel.
- Around 23"
- HDMI (DP would be nice, but I doubt I'll get it at this price point)
- VESA
- Thin bezels are nice, using for dual setup
Any suggestions appreciated.

I wouldnt go with either desu senpai
At my job we replaced Alienware laptops with Razer laptops due to huge overheating and stability issues.

Why are they so adamant on me downloading this
Who else hasn't/won't upgrade to Windows 10
>>55740386
They get money from the ads in the start screen and they want to lock you into the ecosystem, most likely to later charge you monthly just to use it. Not proven, but they also probably use or sell the telemetry in some way.
A pajeet is in charge. And they like to aggressive harass whitey for money.

>Why are they so adamant on me downloading this
They know that people ain't gonna wait in line at midnight and pay $200 for a new OS every three years anymore like they used to. So they wanna do the hip new Google thing - show you ads, and host an app store and take a cut of every sale. They want to not support anything but the current version, because although the user likes that, to MS it's just a big expense. They made all their money already. Possibly they want to move it to a subscription model somewhere down the line, like Adobe did with Photoshop.
the common thread is that they no longer make any money from a Win7 user so they're trying very hard to get rid of all the Win7 users and push them onto 10, where they will start generating money for MS again.
The solution to this is literally installing Gentoo.

With just /g/ open, Firefox runs at 220MB for me. My total system usage is 340MB. More RAM to have a browser sitting on a loaded 4chan board than to run the entire rest of my computer.
Thanks Obama.
Good evening /g/entoomen. I have a simple request. An Indian Scammer from "Microsoft" has decided to call me and is going to call back in two hours. You have this time to request ways I can torture him. Videos may be posted to YouTube. Decide his fate /g/.

I have an HTPC that I have been running with PLEX HT for over a year. I have Plex HT in the startup folder, but I'd like to have a seamless boot up from the "loading" screen straight into plex without the desktop showing in between.
How can I do this with Win7?

SHITPOST
Clearly with so many graphics cards constructors designing heatsink such that the heat dispersion fins are lined perpendicular to the motherboard, there must be some merit to the design.
Yet... surely this design goes against the airflow design of literally every normal case on the market. Nearly all of them simple run cool air from the front, into the GPU mouths and CPU coolers, to be blow out of the back in a push-pull cold-warm straight system.
With a tall card in a thin case, heat sink fans facing perpendicular to the motherboard would have no laminar convection, only turbulent splurting of air at the fins and out randomly.
So as you can see, I can't fathom why so many extremely reputable aftermarket coolers are rotating their fins, I'm also noticing many of them rotating them back to length-ways.
Does anyone have insight, thoughts or research?
Illustrations follow. See here the perpendicular fin setup of a power hungry card. Images taken from a careful google image search.
>not having a side vent
>not knowing about air pressure
Meanwhile both nvidia and AMDs large length reference coolers for mid and upper range cards still, as they always have, use length-wise cooling fins with push fans.
Re: this image
Why have such an open backplate if using motherboard-perpendicular fins?
>>55739299
If you have a sidevent then good luck getting anything above 105% of the ambient air pressure anywhere but directly under the blade of a fan.
